I have just bought a bridge (BR100) so that I can create a Sonos network and get the Sonos mesh network setup to all me to reach rooms that are a long way from the router (the concrete walls in the house are not very WiFi friendly!). Buying from eBay I ended up with THREE of them! Is there any benefit to having more than one BR100? Only 1 will be connected to the router but will additional BR100 act as relay in the Sonos mesh network when just plugged into power (ie not connecting to an Ethernet cable)? Thanks

ThanksYes they will do precisely that. Or at least potentially - whether they get used or not depends on the alternative paths within your setup. You might have to experiment with positioning. You do need to be in Boost mode (which you will be with one Bridge wired) or the unwired Bridges would be totally useless.
it's certainly worth trying, you haven't really got anything to loose.

What John B says, though is very true, in that it depends on the alternate paths within your setup. I have a similar problem with concrete walls and have my Connect acting as the connected item to the router to create SonosNet. My wifi signal upstairs is very poor (I've even had to run Ethernet cable back to the router to get decent internet.

But where ever I place my Boost, it won't create a relay- the signal prefers to find alternate routes to the upstairs speakers.

Just a cautionary word, though. Not meant as discouragement.
