How do I set up Alexa thru Sonos ERA 300?

Tengo una bocina era 300 y hace un mes Alexa funcionaba de maravilla pero estas últimas semanas Alexa no obedece a las órdenes que le doy. There seems to be a new problem that was recently introduced where music is streamed on an Amazon Echo Show instead of on Sonos speakers when Alexa is asked to play music. Because of the ducking problem which lasted 12-15 seconds for all of my 10 Sonos devices, I was advised to create multiple Alexa groups and add specific echo devices to each group along with specific Sonos devices as speakers. This fixed the problem with the 12-15 second ducking occurring for all of my 10 Sonos devices and instead occurring for just the Sonos devices that are in the same group as Echo device that heard the command to play music. Everything worked pretty well until a new problem started occurring in the past couple of weeks. Now, the music I ask Alexa to stream is played on one of my Echo Shows and not on my Sonos speakers. I have not changed a thing. For each Alexa group I have one or more echo devices and one or more Sonos speakers.  How do I get the correct behavior back? 

After the upgrade of my Sonos One speakers to the newest firmware I have noticed that the Alexa Volume now is irrelevant from the Sonos actual volume. Even If I mute my Sonos One volume,  Alexa can still be heard from the speakers. In addition, when I change the volume of the speakers again Alexa volume does not change. Is something changed, or is this a bug?

As if the last Sonos update I can no longer use Alexa to play music on my Sonos products, which unfortunately encompass 100% of my music devices. I say “Alexa play xyz on family room” and Alexa responds, “playing xyz on family room… On family room appears to be offline”. This was never an issue before. Why now? 

Hello,I am trying to set up Amazon Alexa on my Sonos Era 100, but I am encountering an issue during the configuration process. When I try to link Alexa to my Sonos speaker, instead of being redirected to the Amazon login page as expected, I only see an informational message. I am unable to complete the login process and link my Amazon account to Sonos.

I have an Ikea Symfonisk and I just got an Amazon Echo dot (5th gen, 2024). So far I have been able to add most of my intelligent devices but the Symfonisk is not found.I have the Sonos Skill (which has a very low rating for some reason). I have disabled and enabled many times, rebooting both the echo and the Symfonisk between attempts. What else can I do?  The symphonisk works great over airplay with apple devices but Alexa just cannot find it. Something I noticed is, on the instructions, the Sonos Skill refers me to open the Sonos S1 app, but I have the newest version (S2). Could it be that this model is no longer compatible with Alexa?  

In an earlier conversation, Sonos said that fixing this is not a priority which makes this even more frustrating.  I have 4-5 Sonos products.  Earlier this week Alexa simply stopped working on the Sonos products.  I removed Alexa then tried to reinstall it.  My app (worst app update ever - people should lose their jobs) tries to restore Alexa but cannot sign into Amazon.  Just an endless cycle.  

I cannot find how to turn off the sound Alexa makes after you give a command. Everything I’m reading says go to settings and then sounds and to turn off. Wake word confirmation there is no such setting. Can someone confirm how to turn it off? It’s very loud. I’ve searched both in the Sonos app and the Alexa app. This is for a Sonos Beam. 

When I ask Alexa my Sonos move would make a sound to  acknowledge my voice, this has stopped can someone help. 

We have two different issues with Alexa and volume:1- when asking something, the response comes very, very loud. We have tried to set the volume on the app (both Sonos and Alexa) but it makes no difference. We have also tried to set up the volume with the buttons and then ask Alexa to remember that volume as our preferred volume, but nothing works. Not nice for either us or the neighbours.2- when playing the radio or music (doesn't matter through which platform) and we ask Alexa to turn the volume up or down, it goes up way to loud or way to low. Tried to change the command to "turn the volume up by 1" but it doesn't work. We also use a Google speaker and never had that issue with volume control. Unfortunately, we don't seem able to switch to Google voice control.Can anyone help fix that please?

I have two Spotify accounts linked to my Sonos system (A Account and B Account). I want my family to use the A Account with Alexa at home while I'm at work, so it doesn't interrupt my use of the B Account when I'm outside the house. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks!" 

My wife and I both have valid accounts but we only need one (mine). Since hers was the original account she had ownership, which we’ve now transferred to me. The message Transfer Completed” indicated that this was successful but when I sign in to Manage the settings I get “Something went wrong” and am told to sign in as the owner so the system still thinks my wife’s the owner. I’ve deleted her account but the message says that I’ll get an email in a few days to confirm the deletion. I can still login to either account. The reason for switching ownership is because we now have the Amazon Alexa app and Amazon Music, for which I am the subscriber. I’m having problems playing Amazon Music probably because of the conflict of ownership so I’m hoping that setting the Sonos and Music accounts in my name will solve the problem but I can’t transfer the ownership to me! How can I fix this?

I have 2 era300, a port hooked up to a large audio system and 1 beam on a TV in a large single room(10,000SqF). I am tired of yelling "ALEXA" across the room to my fire TV cube(Alexa). Can the era300 and the beam all listen and communicate to the cube?

hi there,I am unable to use voice command to request Move 2 to play music via Alexa.I am an Amazon Prime subscriber and I have Amazon music app setup on my iPhone. I also have connected Amazon Prime service to my Sonos app. I am only able to use my iPhone to select Amazon music and play to my Move 2 on wifi from my playlist using the Sonos app.However I prefer the convenience of using voice command to request Amazon music instead of using my iPhone. is that possible?thank you for your assistance.  

Hello,after moving to a new location I wanted to setup my Play 1s again. I was able to add them as a new system and everything works fine in the sonos app. Then I reenabled my sonos skill in the Alexa app, but then no devices are found. I did everything to make it work: reset speakers, rebooted devices, restarted app, relinked Alexa and Sonos. But those devices just cannot be found… Are there any advices?

Hello, A few weeks ago my Sonos Roam reset and subsequently lost connection to Alexa. I've tried reconnecting it via the Sonos App and when I follow the steps and choose Alexa, it attempts to login to the app but all I get is the spinning wheel.Eventually it says try again or cancel. I've deregistered it on the Alexa app and still I'm facing issues. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciatedMatt

Hi all - recently set up my Sonos Arc Ultra and have set up Amazon Alexa as my voice control. However, I can't seem to get voice controls for my TV to work. For example, when I say "Alexa, turn off my TV" it says that there is no device or group named TV. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thank you

4 Sonos speakers throughout the house have worked perfectly two years. We use Alexa. Good connection. All speakers work Alexa responds I can look up anything I want and Alexa answers. On my music I ask Alexa to play an artist Alexa confirmsand she ends her sentence with “what would you like to hear next”. On my app I can see the song playing my sound bars the volumes everything but there’s no music coming out of my speakers. No matter what music I ask for, Alexa will confirm And then says “what would you like to hear next”

Hi.the issue im having here right now is that I can’t change the wake word on arc as someone in the house has a similar name. The only way to change (as I have researched) is to get a dot, place near the arc, disable the arc voice control.then group the arc and dot in Alexa app in the same room (living room in this instance). And set preferred speaker as the arc.now, here’s where it gets messy. I have change the wake word to echo on the dot. When I call out echo on the dot, it responded on the dot. I thought it was suppose to respond through the arc? When I call echo on the dot to play music, it somehow says…playing Spotify on Sonos and the arc plays music.i tried bringing this dot to another room, group it with a full fledge echo speaker, set preferred speaker to full fledge echo. When I speak to the dot, it responded through the echo speaker. When I speak to the dot to play music, it DID not play on the echo but on the dot. Wtf..? I don’t really care about the echo and dot scenario.

For the last few days when i ask Alexa to play BBC sounds or Apple Music on my sonos devices it says “I’m having trouble”  Things I have already tried:factory reset of sonos devices disconnect and reconnect alexa integration in sonos app disconnect and reconnect apple music and bbc sounds service in sonos app enable disable apple music / bbc sounds / sonos skills in alexaNothing works The services work fine when played from alex advecis any ideas?  thanks a lot! 

On my echo speaker, I have alexa enabled with two accounts, each with it’s own spotify. I can use voice commands to play from the appropraite person’s spotify - for example, “play artist on xxx’s spotify”.  I can also ask it to switch accounts. I have my alexa voice controller activate on my Sonos One. However it won’t switch accounts, nor will it play from any spotify other than the one assocaited with the alexa account which was used  for the voice controller. Is there a way to replicae the funcionality of my echo speaker on my Sonos One? 

I have a sonos beam 2 and I can't pair it with my Alexa voice assistant. When I go to log in to Amazon Alexa. It just won't work.
