Advanced setups

i have a panasonic viera plasma tv that i love and dont plan on replacing anytime soon. Also I have 2 Symfonisk panel speakers.  Is there some way to create a "legacy" connection directly from the tv into the amps, e.g. by opening them up and connecting an audio cable somewhere? thanks ps i also have a beam 2 here, but the symfonisks sound so much better that i am happy to return the beam and be without surround.

I have an arc and two ones acting as rear speakers for my tv. Am I also able to use the ones for my stereo/turntable when not using the tv? If so, how? thanks! 

We recently bought the Sonos Arc entertainment set with the Arc and the Sub. We decided to add in two Sonos Ones as rears in our system the only issue I’m having is figuring out placement in the room. As you can see in the pictures I’ve attached of the room the official Dolby placement guide won’t work as the couch is against the back wall, so that rules at stands as well. So I figure my option is wall mounts, I’m just not sure where, how far apart, how high up, etc. For reference I’m standing right in front of the tv in the photo facing the back wall. 

I have a setup where I would like to change SUB attachment from a pair of 2’s to a Beam - but a quick way to do that is missing...

Is there a way to set this up with default groups based on inputs, so I don’t have to keep grouping them manually whenever I switch inputs?

Hi Sonos, my Sub G1, one of the non-glare versions, does show up in my system as ZP100 which is clearly wrong. So my S2 App says it’s incompatible (grouped with ARC + 2 Play:3 as rear). Diagnostic info 1961414442Also my Windows App does not work anymore (says it need update, but when i click on update, no update is found). 

I have the arc, the sub (gen 3) and 2 Sonos One and I’d like to have two different room configuration with the same speakers to switch easily between them keeping their own equalizer (including True Play)Watching TV. Arc + 2 Sonos One as Surround + Sub Listening Music. 2 Sonos One in Stereo + Sub Is there a way to do it? Do you think it will be included in next updates?

My wife and I currently have a 5.1 setup with a Beam, two One SLs, and a Sub. My wife would like to buy a move to replace one of the One SLs. Her goal is to be able to take the Move into another room to listen to TV or music that's going on in the living room. Is there a way to do this? I've read to make the surrounds "Full" but I'm only seeing that as an option for music.

Hi all, I have recently purchased a new Sonos five and a beam 2nd gen… They sound amazing so that’s a great start! I want to create a stereo sound so I am thinking of buying either two of the Sonos ones, or purchased another Sonos five. What I am wanting to know is, if I was to purchase the two Sonos ones, could I group them in a way that allows me to stream music from the Sonos five and the two Sonos ones.. I would ideally have the two Sonos ones on opposing sides of the room to create a wide stereo sound. Or, because I am grouping this with a single Sonos five, do they all play in mono and I do not get a stereo effect from the two Sonos ones??  If that’s the case, would the recommendation be that I simply buy another Sonos five, and create my stereo sound that way? I could then also link those two Sonos fives to my beam, for a surroundsound whilst watching movies.. I would appreciate any input.  I also have my record player connected to the sonos 5 with rca cable into the AUX. I c

I expanded my networking gear. Router’s WiFi is off, instead I connected an Asus ZenWiFi AX Mini mesh system to serve as WiFi. Some devices in my network are Ethernet based, others through WiFi. Asus has its own DHCP server. So WiFi based devices are in another IP range than Ethernet based. WiFi is super stable.My Sonos should run WiFi based, due to the remote positions in the house. To make sure I had a clean installation, I reseted all my Sonos devices by holding down play/plus while connecting to power. I have a TP-LINK router that I am using a NAS file server.  I have a Seagate external hard drive connected to the TP-LINK router via USB, and the TP-LINK is connected via Ethernet to a SMART/RG router that is connected to the internet and runs my local WiFi network (which includes 6 Play:1 speakers).  I have a Mac (Catalina 10.15.7) and 2 iPhones and an iPad, all using the S2 controller.  I had been using an iTunes folder on the Seagate drive as my NAS music library with no problems for the last couple of years.I recently upgraded the S2 controller to release 13.4.1.  After deleting some songs from the NAS music library, I got an error when I tried to re-index the music library.  After a couple more failures, I decided to delete the NAS music library and re-add it to see if that would resolve the indexing issue.  To my great misfortune, I have been unable to add the music library back.  Most of my attempts end up with the following error message:Indexing your music col

Hi all,I currently have a SONOS ARC and Sub (Gen 3) for my TV, with ARC connected via HDMI to TV, and Sub wireless to ARC. I am buying a SONOS AMP to hook up two in-celing speaker as the surround sound. The issue I have is that, the AMP will be placed in the basement, so there is fair bit of concrete and dirt between the ARC and AMP. As a result, the wireless connection may not work.My question is that, can I connect AMP via Ethernet cable to my POE switch? In this case, do I also need to connect my ARC via Ethernet cable to the same POE switch?  What about the Sub, can it be left as wireless connection?I have read through a couple of threads, some said that wireless is the only way, others said this would work. Hello, My Symfonisk Shelf Speaker is broken but it’s only the two speakers inside.I can’t find any spare parts/replacement speakers for that.Has someone an idea wich speaker I can use for the exchange?

Hi there!So I have a Sonos system in my house. Included in the system is a bridge which is hardwired to my main router (though from what I read, this is largely redundant, but it’s connected anyhow).I have an outbuilding which is at the end of the garden, and which has the house wifi extended to it via a repeater which is hardwired to another repeater in the house (note it’s not hardwired to the main router as this isn’t possible). The house repeater that the outbuilding repeater is hardwired to is connected to the main house router via Wi-Fi (mesh system - they are all Fritz!boxes).With my current set up, I don’t appear to be able to add a Sonos speaker in the outbuilding as the system can’t find it (it works if I bring it up to the house and connect it there). I think this is probably because, whilst the wifi is extended to the building, Sonos’s own wifi isn’t.What do I need to do to make this work? I have tried connecting the outbuilding Sonos speaker

Hi all,I will need your help with this, My Client has sonos system in his restaurant and he is facing some issue. According to him, sometimes some player will stop playing music and came back after awhile, will say is unstable. (Drop) Sonos Player we have:8x Play5 Gen 2, 5x Play3, 1x Boost, 1x Connect We are using TP-Link Deco mesh system, Wifi Coverage no issue at all. Connection: Connect is wired to the Main Deco and a Sonos Five is wired to a Deco Satellite. Boost is being use expand/extend the Sonosnet Below is the matrix table which i don really understand and know how to read.   He intend to add 2 more Sonos 5 for outdoor area which there is no lan point. Can i get another boost to expand/extend the Sonosnet to the outdoor area? will it work?Submitted my

I’d like to have a list of all my music and wonder if there is any way too export/extract the Sonos Much Library I’ve indexed? I expect there might be stand alone music catalogue software also which might do the trick. I only use Apple Music to rip CDs Thanks

Hey, everyone!I use a USB plugged into my router to play a few songs on my Sonos. I used to be able to connect this via Music Library Setup - Add Shared Music Folder - //192.168.0.1/volume9*voume9 is just the name my usb takes when plugged into the router* Now, when I try to do this (on my iPhone), I get this message “The computer 192.168.0.1 refused to let the Sonos Product connect to it.” I also tried it on my Mac and get “There is no shared folder ‘volume9’ on the computer ‘192.168.0.1’.” I logged into my router and ‘volume9’ is still there, is not password protected, the sharing feature is enabled. I also removed the USB and reinstalled in on my router just to make sure that wasn’t the issue. So, how do I fix this? UPDADTE: I changed the wifi I was connected to on my phone to 2.4ghz and it found the USB!

I have a record player connected to a Sonos Port as an input, so I can listen to the Port as a media source on any Sonos in the house.However, if possible I would like to also use the Sonos Port as a source on my PC, using VLC for example.Is there any open network stream on the Port which I might be able to use in this fashion? I’m not sure how the other Sonos devices stream from the Port, but if for example there is an HTTP stream URL I could use, that would be ideal.TIA

I have a Sonos Port and five Sonos: 1 speakers, all connected to an eero pro-6 tri-band. The Port is connected to the gateway eero via Ethernet. None of the speakers are wired (none are connected via Ethernet) but show up in the eero app as if they are wired to the gateway, same as the Port, which must mean they are connected via wifi to the Port, right? (I'm seeing their serial numbers in the list of Ethernet connected devices in the eero app.)The app says it's unable to connect to Sonos and shows the let's fix it link. I've followed that process a gazillion times to no avail. I've tried the find missing devices instructions a gazillion times. Nothing works.It all worked fine before I added the eeros. How do I get the Sonos app to find the devices connected to the eero? Again, only the Port is wired. Only two of the speakers are in the same room, but all show as connected in the eero app. 

I have just received my SONOS Port. I have followed all the instructions and connected the Port to the AVR with the supplier phono lead. I initially had problems getting any sound at all but after I watched a YouTube video tutorial I found out that I had to have Zone 2 selected on the AVR and also have the Port plugged into Phono.Although this “works” the sound quality is unbearably bad. Also it only plays through the left and right front speakers (I have the AVR setup to my cinema projector and 5.1 surround speakers).Can anyone help? I would ideally like the sound to come out of all 4 speakers and the subwoofer. Also would like it to be using the aux channel. TIA

I have tried to connect all my components, two Sonos Play 1s, a Playbase and a Connect, to a new, closer and stronger network. The sonos Play 1s were a pair. One of them switched, the other did not. The Playbase switched but the other Sonos Play 1 and the Connect amp did not. The top button on the Connect, not just the little light, is flashing red no matter what I do. How may I get all these back to factory specs and start over with the connections? 

I moved to a new house and I want to use components I have from an old setup to use the 4 in-wall speakers in the family room for surround sound and for music. I need instruction on wiring the Connect Amp or the Connect to the receiver so that I can use the speakers for surround sound and for music. It’s a Denon AVR-X2100W. I have 3 Connect Amps and a Connect from a previous installation and I’m not sure of the best configuration.  

I have 2 Beams in separate rooms (my only Sonos products) and I am trying to get both of them onto my wired network (house is wired for Ethernet).The first Beam connects no problem and recognises the wired connection. The second Beam will only connect on Wi-Fi and does not recognise the wired connection at all (it will not allow me to disable the Wi-Fi).Is there a specific technique for getting this to work?
