Gen 3 Sub in Garage

Have a 3 car garage and converted the single into a home gym. I’ve got 4 One SL’s hooked up and a Gen 3 sub on top of the water heater in the opposite corner. Can anyone tell me why I’m only hearing that true deep bass in certain areas of the garage and not all over? It’s really disappointing to be honest, but hopefully there’s a solution?

I recommend placing the Sub on the floor rather than on top of the water heater. Check out this article about subwoofer placement:
