Hi, everybodyI have a Livebox router (upnp) and the possibility to plug on it a usb key. Using VLC, It is possible to access through upnp services to the files of the usb key. But I don’t know to add these files on the Sonos library. Could you please give me some clews to add these files.All the bestArnaud

Hi everyone,I have a studio space with high ceilings, 10x7m size. I’m wanting to play immersive sound for yoga etc, and on other occasions use a projector for presentations, movies etc. The layout (using my current speakers) could be 4 x Era300 in each ceiling corner, working as mono and grouped, and I could use beam soundbar for the projector. Ideally I’d use my soundbar, sub and rear Era300s as a surround setup for movies, and then all speakers working as monos for immersive sound when playing music. If I set up the surround as above for movies, will the extra Era300s in the ‘front left and front right’ positions try to play along with the movie (but out of sync) if they’re grouped so I can use them all together for immersive music?Or is the only way to have the sub/beam for movies and grouped mono Era300 x 4 for music? Seems unfortunate to sacrifice the rear surrounds during movies and likewise sacrifice the sub and beam for music playback!

We have a set of Sonos AMP in a house and experience that one of the units is disconnecting the local network. It is all cabeled (LAN).What can the reason be and is there anything I con do to make it more stable ?

I have several Sonos speakers in my home in several different rooms.  I just got a new Sonos speaker that I want to use at my office (not in my home, ie, a completely separate location, wifi network, etc).  I am trying to set up the speaker at the office and I want it to be completely independent of the home system but when I go in to the app it is recognizing that I am on a different wi fi network and asking if I want to connect my products to this network.  I am assuming that means ALL products...including those that are in my home.  How do I set up my new office speaker so that I can see two “systems” (home and office) in my Sonos app?  Please provide step by step instructions. 

I recently purchased a fancy new record player with the intent of playing my vinyl songs through RCA cable to my Connect:AMP gen1 on s1 (can’t upgrade to s2 software) and then actually played through my Play:1 gen1 pair (say they CAN be downgraded to s1 software), I’ve been trying to downgrade the Play:1’s for forever and always throw an errror code and say they can’t be downgraded, I NEED HELP!!!!

Frequently unable to connect Sonus Playbar to network.  Says “unable to connect to Sonus network”.  It seems to connect when it wants and when going through the reconnect or find devices it finds the Playbar but gives the above message.  Tried simultaneously hitting the play and + or - and still getting above message.  Tried unplugging and closing Sonos app and opening - nothing!

Quick Gripe and Question: Let's say I own a small home and I have One sonos product. I set it up and personalize the system, music apps, voice, etc. I enjoy it and then after a year or so decide I need to upgrade. So then to get the most out of my situation I use the upgrade program, send in my old device and bring the new device home. We'll now the app won't allow me to set up the new device because it "can't detect my sonos system." So then the app says "did you change your wifi?" I say no so it starts looking for my offline sonos. But it can't find it because I don't have it anymore. So, whats the solution?!?! Reset the app and set up a new system! OK great! Easy fix! ... well not really because now I have to re set up all my music preferences, apps, voice assistant etc. This interface assumes that everyone using sonos will have multiple devices and will upgrade those one at a time. Hi all, By accident (my son) my Sonos beam gen1 has been upgraded to the crap of s2 😩🤮Now I'm trying to rollback to s1 but is not working.Did somehow Sonos decided that it is not possible anymore to rollback? Could someone help me pls

my sonos volume turns up too loud when i turn the television, I would like to set the volume on my sonos to when I turn the sonos on it is at the last set volume when I turned the Sonos off 

why when I install my sonos everything is done My Spotify plus amazon le.spotify connection is on the sonos app too. and when I ask to play spotify it always tells me that I'm offline. what am I doing wrong. it worked for a long time and after a change of router it no longer works. THANKS

I have seven devices running on Sonos S1, even some quite old ones, from the early days. I am an Sonos early adaptor and started with Sonos in 2009. Picture this: in one room I have a TV with the following SONOS products set up to provide a surround experience: arcsub (gen 3)And a pair of Play 5this is a great surround sound setup for my TV and I’m super happy. But..In the extended part of my living room I have another pair of SONOS speakers who are grouped as a stereo pair under the name ‘Livingroom’.  the Sub (gen 3) is in fact placed so that it would be perfect as a sub for my stereo pair, when it’s not busy being a sub for my TV surround. Since these two setups are in fact more or less in the same room, they will never be used at the same time, and it would make for a much better listening experience if the sub could be used as needed.  today it seems the only option is to unpair the sub and pair it with the speakers in question and then unpair and re-pair for next use. This is cumbersome and leaves me using the sub only for TV surround and having a cheaper experie

I recently introduced a Brennan B3 media player to my Sonos systems. Previously I used a “JukeBox” CD player to send analog signals to a Connect and later a Port onwards to Sonos. The Brennan sends WAV/FLAC etc. directly to Sonos not requiring a Port. It outputs the signal via USB to my network and hence Sonos.Is it me? But I’m noticing a reduced volume on many of my ripped CDs, I’m going to try playing the content of the same CD on the B3 CD player and listen if it's different.Anyone able to throw light on this issue.

A lot of TVs and streaming devices have a “quiet mode” where they add some signal processing (probably just a compressor) to reduce loud sounds when watching TV late at night.It would be great is Sonos had a similar mode (preferably customizable) where I could schedule the quiet mode so that it aligns with my apartment building’s rules for being quiet.A compressor would probably not be enough, I think bass should be EQ’d down as well. Maybe there are other audio tricks in order to not disturb neighbours too… this is why I’d like it to be customizable so I can tweak EQ/compressor settings depending on my setup/house/etc.

Hi All,I’ve had Sonos products for over 10 years and always loved them. Over the last year I’ve been more and more infuriated buy the app just randomly picking what products it shows me. I’ve tried everything I can think of and it’s been over a year now. I want to add more speakers but it seems pointless spending more money if they won’t work. I Have a Grand Piano that plays with the PianoDisk software.  Some of the tracks have an audio feed as an accompaniment - both voice and instrumental. The Piano location is on the balcony of a two story home.  Looking for the best solution for sound.  My initial thought was a pair of Sonos ERA300’ with the third gen woofer.  Would I need the Sound bar?  I want good bass (woofer). speakers will be placed on carpeted floor under piano so not a lot of spacing.

I have two apartments in Omaha NE, across the hall from each other. I uses macs & iPhones, all up to date. I use an eero mesh wifi, with a CAT5 cable connecting the two apps, so we can use the same wifi addresses etc in both places, one backup system, NAS for music library, etc.   I have 9 SONOS components, 5 new, 4 old. I have them arranged into two separate systems, one connected with an overhead projector working through Roku & CONNECT, using S2. The other in the apartment across the hall using S1. This system has worked flawlessly for several years.    I recently upgraded the eero to 6 PRO (doesn't use the 6GHz band but has multiple 5's for back traffic & continues to has 2.4GHz. This new wifi easily reaches across the hall, with all 9 systems logging on to both zeros, leaving me with the problem. Hello.I’m hoping someone may be able to offer some guidance on apparent connectivity issues I have with my newly-extended set up.In my home I have a ZP80 connected via Ethernet to my BT Home Hub. There is a Play 3, Play 5 and G1 Beam in the house, and these operate with no issue and remain visible in the Sonos App.I have recently built a garden room 30m from my property, CAT6 connects the BT Home Hub to the TP-Link TD-W9970 wireless router in the garden room where there is another Beam plus a ZP100 connected wirelessly I am finding that the devices in the garden room often ‘disappear’ from the Sonos app. Sometimes I also notice that I need to play music from one of the devices in the home then group the garden room devices for music to play. Are there any obvious issues with this that I need to fix? thanks in advance for any replies 

Do a reprograming Sonos’s PCoIP protocol could improve the sonos experience?Better traffic control will induce packetloss but it's less important than higher latency and audio lags.Packet loss within a optimized PCoIP session should target less than 0.1%.Users typically notice performance degradation if the session packet loss is greater than 0.1%, although higher loss may be tolerated.What about to increase the tolerance value of the PCoIP protocol and eliminate the bootleneck which will fix most customer lag complaints? Any thought?

Hi all- We have a home that has been on Centurylink but we’re planning to switch to Starlink. 5 speaker system. I’ve read a few similar posts on this but wanted to ask specifically - if i get the Starlink plus ethernet adapter, use a mesh network, and plug one of the speakers in with ethernet so that they use the Sonos network, do you think that will work? -Sean

I have an existing surround sound system with a Denon X1700 receiver. We just bought a Sonos port on BestBuys advice to be able to play sports audio on the projector inside (through fire stick plugged into the receiver) as well as the sonance outdoor speakers. The sonance are hooked up to an AMP and the receiver will currently play Spotify on both systems through the Sonos app. However, I can’t figure out a way to get the Fire stick audio to play on both speakers. The port is plugged into the main phono audio in on the receiver and the regular out plugs, not using digital… the fire stick is plugged into the HDMI (media player). Right now I have to change the input to phono on the receiver to get Spotify to work on all speakers… does that mean I need to get a different set of plugs to do the TV audio? Do I need to change the audio input on the receiver and use Spotify on the fire stick instead? Is a port going to be able to do what we want? Thanks for your insight Sonos community! 

Hi I am running a Stero pair of Sonos 5 and the sub and want to pair up a turntable , can any one suggest the WIFI connected turntable that I may look at which would connect and play without the RCA cables.Need to connect over wifi please 

I am a custom integrator and just love the Sony Music Connect / Works with Sonos automation built into Sony ES receivers. Pair a Sony ES receiver with a Sonos Port in the “Works with Sonos” settings menu and voila, you can turn a big home theater into another Sonos zone where control on the Sonos app works like any other zone (even bypassing the Sony’s volume control) and you never need a separate remote to play music.The feature works by watching the multicast chatter on the network and when it sees a “play” message coming from the MAC address of the associated Sonos Port, it switches on and goes to the input dedicated to Sonos.I’m having a problem with a new installation utilizing a Sonos Port and Sony STR-AZ5000ES. This feature doesn’t work when all 17 installed Sonos devices are running on the network, although it will start working when you unplug many of the Sonos devices from power. I have a USB HDD connected to my Archer VR1600 router, which is shared and accessible on my Mac://ipaddr/volume(sda1)/..When I attempt to add that path to my Sonos library config and supply the share credentials, it whines that ‘the computer (ie my router) refused to let Sonos connect to it’.[update:] I’m using the S1 version of Sonos software as the device is a Connect/ZonePlayer.---Background: our LaCie NAS is about to die, and it makes sense to move the the data from it to a Google cloud account.I want to keep a local cache of our audio files for streaming through the Sonos Connect.
