What to get

Does anyone know where I can buy Play:1 mounting screws in Australia? I have tried M5 and M6 screws and they certainly don’t work. the 1/4” x 20 (¼ long) I am finding very difficult to find.Many thanks!

Bought some 16 gauge outdoor speaker wire, 4x 60ft runs to some Yamaha 6 ohm speakers controlled by 2x Sonos Amps.These guys:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00141CTQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001VHARY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1Before buying I researched quickly and bought 16 gauge wire based on this Sonos article:https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4764?language=en_US Once I stripped the wire I started second guessing myself, and now I’m wondering if I should have gotten 14 gauge based on some other things I’ve read.I could pull new wire fairly easily since I haven’t tied everything down yet.  Should I upgrade to 14 gauge, or should 16 gauge be sufficient? 

I’m buiding a 500 sq ft outdoor patio.  The roof is a high pitch (12-14ft).  Opens to backyard.  House is on the other 3 sides (front, right, left). I was considering adding 4 Sonos (Archtectural) in Ceiling speakers.  Realize they aren’t rated for outdoor.  Has anyone tried this?  Again, it’s in the ceiling of the patio and not exposed directly to sunlight or water or even wind. But, it is Houston, Texas, so plenty of humidity. Open for suggestions.  Thank you!

How can I figure out the generation of a Sonos subwoofer? Serial #, UPC etc./other? 

Would I notice much improvement if I upgrade my Playbar to an arc and kept my two play 1s and gen 2 subwoofer

Hello,I would like to create a set up with sonos products where I can have a surround system for my TV or a dolby for my PC but in the same room. The TV and PC are not in the same place in the room: I wonder if its possible with Sonos products, and how would it work.thanks in advance for suggestions 

I am considering putting a couple of Sonos rectangular architectural speakers in this cabinet banister thing and connecting them to a Sonos Amp. Does anyone see any reason why this wont work? Or should I look at a different option?

What sub is recommended to pair with the Sonance Outdoor speakers connected with the Sonos Amp? Is it necessary to use the Sonos sub or is there a cheaper sub that works just as effective?Is the Sonos sub worth the extra $$$? 

Hi I have a beam, sub, + 2 play:1 speakers set up for home theater surround. I’m happy with the system but very tempted to upgrade to the new Arc soundbar. The main problem is my Vizio 75” P-series quantum doesn’t have eArc, so I guess I couldn’t get true Atmos, but I think can pass through Dolby digital. Question is whether it’s worth the upgrade… any thoughts? Has anyone upgraded and can say whether it’s worth it? Thanks!

Looking for a bit of advice: we’ve recently moved, and are offloading much of our old audio equipment. We already own 3 OneSL speakers, which we love and want to keep. However, I have an extensive collection of classical and international CD’s, and am looking at a new CD player to integrate with our current Sonos speakers. Putting aside the longer term need to copy all of my CD’s to electronic files, I am looking at two options for CD playing, and am unclear if the Port or Amp is needed. One option is to purchase a Bose Wave music system, which would then provide the speakers for that room. The other option is to purchase an Onkyo 6-Disc CD carousel, which does not include speakers. I lean toward the second option, so I can just load up a day’s worth of music. I suspect the Port would do for the Bose, but the Amp would be needed for the Onkyo. Any advice (other than I need to offload the CD’s) is most appreciated! Thanks! 

Looking for loud, clear outdoor speakers to connect to the Sonos Amp. What do you recommend and why?

I have the beam & x2 one SL speakers setup as surround sound linked to my tv. sound generally for tv is good but when playing music via Spotify it doesn’t have the sound quality/ base/ loudness I expected ? Is my setup wrong? Do I need more speakers/ amp?any ideas?it’s not a particular large room but is open plan kitchen living. 

I'm building a new construction house and I'm thinking about adding a pair of in-ceiling speakers to the covered deck, which would be wired to a Sonos amp in the IT closet.I was quoted about $1800 for the full setup including parts and installation. The quote says they would provide the Klipsch CS-16C II speakers... But I can't find much about those on Google, so I'm a bit worried that they're not the best quality.What do you guys recommend for in-ceiling outdoor rated speakers for use with the Amp? I could try to get a quote for some different ones instead.And does that quote seem ridiculously high? Seems like about half parts and half labor (based on the price of the Amp and $100 speakers plus adding room for wiring, brackets, etc.). The IT closet is in the basement with my network gear, so they'd need to run wires upstairs then out to the deck on the opposite side of the house and provide brackets, do the wiring, etc.The alternative would be to just buy a couple Move speakers... but

New to sound setups and wanted to know whats better for music, to get a beam and two HomePods which will be used specifically for music or a beam + 2 ones which will serve for both music and tv in terms of overall sound quality.

Is this replacement easy for a consumer to do and how is it done? Thanks 

I’m thinking of buying the Sonos Move and need some advice?The main purpose for me buying the Sonos Move will be to stream and play music from You Tube. With this in mind, I intend to pair the Sonos Move to my Samsung android S10 plus (or new S20 as I’ll be upgrading very soon) and connect via my home Wi-Fi. That said, I have been informed that this is only possible on an iPhone and only possible on an android phone via Bluetooth. Currently I’m using the Bang and Olufsen Beo Plus speaker paired to my Samsung phone and use it as described above without any problems. I want to be able to do the same on the Sonos move without any problems. If it’s not possible to do this via Samsung phone via my home Wi-Fi, then what are the implications of using and relying on Blue Tooth instead of Wi-Fifi? Many thanks,Doug

Hi all. Thinking of getting a Sonos Move to replace my Bose Soundlink Bluetooth speaker for my bathroom which has no power socket. For those long bathtub soaks. Question is, I've read the Move in standby mode doesn't really have good battery life? For my Soundlink it auto powers off and the battery lasts for months as I only tub once every 1-2 weeks. 

Hello,To keep costs down, I am think of getting a pair of SYMFONISK speakers to play music in my store in two different rooms, instead of purchasing a “real” SONOS system for now. Basic setup: Deskstop computer (iMac) running Spotify and Airfoil with wifi coverage in store.Question: Can I purchase 2 SYMFONISK speakers from Ikea and have them play Spotify from my computer over wifi without any other elements?Thanks in advance for your help!Kind regards

Hi allI’ve recently moved houses / countries with a lot of high-quality legacy physical media (jazz vinyl, Criterion Blu Rays, etc) but with only a Sonos 1 - all this other audio gear was left behind in the US. I would like to go as wireless as possible and use Sonos components to rebuild a living room sound setup. The system should be able to hook up to a new TV but also allow me to play Blu Rays, CDs, and records as well as stream music. What is the best set of Sonos components to buy?  My previous system was Onkyo Amplifier based with Sonos as a late “add on.” But I’d rather not deal with wires anymore, especially in a rental apt. I realize that the sound quality won’t be as good as before but I am willing to give that up for convenience.

Can any one tell me why it is so hard to get any one to help with a business set up for sonos i would be buying 7 x play5 speakers and an outdoor set and amp but it seems impossible to speak to any one about this and get any help, is this system just for domestic users if so it would seem utterly mad? Thanks for all help. Kent

hi, i recently moved into new home, already equiped with in ceiling speakers and outdoor speakers.  also, in the wall are a couple knobs for volume, and several L&R wires in the media room which i assume were connected to the source.I am in no way very technical and want to make this as easy to utilizs as possible.  i need to know what i need in order to be able to use these pre-wired speakers. i think the way i understand it is this…. i need the amp to connect to the pre-wires, from there i download the sonos app and can start streaming. sound right?but also, if i want to play my cds/vinyl, i would need the port as well to tie into my tuner/ cd player/ record player?does this sound right? any and all insight is appreciated. best,
