I've seen them at best buy and what not, and I know they aren't cheap, but I feel like the cost is mostly about the connectivity and easy of use rather than the audio quality. Is that correct?
I have six legacy devices and for all of them I opted for the Trade Up credit via my Sonos account. I did this yesterday, so no damage to the environment and all devices should keep working. One of the credits I already used, with five remaining in my Sonos account. My question: if I sell the Sonos components, is there any way for the buyer to link the component to their own Sonos account and claim the upgrade credit? Either directly, or by contacting customer services. One obvious solution would be to either wait until I’ve used up all the Trade Up credits in my Offers section, or to trade in and sell one by one. However, if I look at the Trade Up/Upgraded section of my account, it shows “Credit Available” for five devices and “Credit Redeemed” for one. The redeemed one isn’t the first device that I traded up, and I’m not ready to sell that particular device on eBay. My worry is that a buyer would use up the discount. Is this possible, or do I need to wait? As a follow-up, how do
My outdoor Sonos speakers by Sonance recently stopped working correctly. There is no bass and sound terrible. What is the warranty term, and how can I get them repaired or replaced?
Hi folks, I have a few old Sonos devices that aren’t S2 compatible. After screaming “whyyyy” into the night for a while I’ve decided this may be an opportunity to adjust and streamline my setup. My two Play:5 Gen1s are a no brainier. The new Sonos Fives it is. Bye bye bridges (one still brand new in the box). Just switched the router cable from the bridge to the Playbase today and things seem to be working OK. In fact I think grouping/ungrouping rooms is a bit quicker. Maybe the bridge was a pinch point for some of the processing required. Or it’s just a notion of me. Anyway, I had the bridge on a shelf about 4 feet above the Playbase so hoping the SonosNet mesh holds up without it, especially with my outdoor plans. lastly, and the point for the post, I currently have a Connect AMP (ZP120, circa 2010) driving a pair of Monitor Audio Climate 50 speakers. I only purchased the ZP120 (2nd hand) and Speakers last July, which added to the level of screaming above. At the time I couldn’t just
Hoi allemaal, Ik lees dat diverse mensen de Sonos ARC al hebben, Ik surf het hele web af, maar in Nederland is deze nog nergens leverbaar Iemand tips waar ik hem wel kan bestellen en snel geleverd wordt? Gr Toine
I recently purchased 2 very nicely used gen 1 Play 5’s for my basement for $300 (US) for the pair. Did I make a mistake? My budget is limited. Should I sell the gen 1’s and buy 1 gen 3 Play 5 for $500? Do you recommend any other options? Thanks for your time, Rayskies
Hi All, I bought a few items on Friday all of which are either on back order or pre order. I understand that I may not be charged right now until they ship, but I also did not even receive an order confirmation email. As you can imagine, this is concerning, but I think Sonos must have gotten my order since they charged my card $1.00. Is this normal? I have tried calling the line and spent a cumulative 2 hours on hold.
Hi ordered a Sonos ARC but then I’ve found stock in another store so now I wanted to cancel my order here in the website. However I can’t find any option to cancel it. I contacted Sonos support who told me to use the order confirmation email to make modifications to the order, but I never received that email… so as off today, I have no way to cancel the order. Seems a little bit odd. Anyone is facing the same problem?
I have a Beam + Sub for TV an two Play 5s (vertically) for music listening. Sometimes I pair the Sub with the two Play 5s and everytime I think “Wow, that’s much more fullness of sound”, but the Beam needs the Sub more than my Play 5s and unfortunately with Sonos you have to make a decision unless you want to unpair, pair and use Trueplay every time you want to switch. So my idea to get a fixed setup for TV and music: Selling the Play 5s and buy the Sonos Arc for TV (hoping it has enough Bass for enjoying TV, but I guess it has) and pairing two Play Ones with the Sub (I like the Ones and think they even look better than the two Play 5s). To cut a long story short, my actual question is: Can you compare two Play 5s (used vertically) with Sub with two Ones with Sub in terms of Sound? I already had both setups in use but never had a chance for a direct comparison.
Dear Sonos Community I want to set up a sonos sound system at home, but need a little help. I have a turntable with a phono preamp and a samsung tv 6 series (ue50ku6072). My aim is to have just one main sonos speaker (ideally the play 5 or the beam). I know that the play 5 is not suitable for TV. Would this problem be solved if I bought a sonos port and connect the tv and the turntable with this port? Sorry about my layman’s term and many thanks for your help. All the best
I’m new to Sonos and I’m looking at buying the Arc, Sub and Ones for surround. I will mount the surrounds to the back wall and mounting to the wall under my TV. The wall is white so I was thinking about buying the white Arc but not sure what that would look like given the TV is black. Was curious if anyone here has pictures showing what the white Arc looks like mounted to a white wall?
Ordered a Sonos Move in black, which was on backorder and said it'll ship mid July. My card was charged $1.00 and I never received any email communication regarding the purchase or anything at all. Just wondering if this is normal for back orders or if I should be trying to contact someone. Thanks!
Hi, The black Sonos move that is listed on preorder as well as the new white colour are they newer versions of the ‘original’ Move or are they just releasing a white colour? I want to buy the black one which a local retailer has stock of but if the version on back order is potentially different / updated in some way then I would rather wait. it has the model number MOVE1EU1BLK I know they released a FW update which has given all Move’s an extra hour battery life Thanks
I’m thinking of purchasing a Sonos Arc but can’t find any info on whether the Q8 is compatible with Dolby Atmos. Can anyone point me to this info?
Hello, I plan to acquire the sonos arc and own a Samsung q950r 2019 TV. This TV isn’t eARC (perhaps in the future), but is “atmos compatible”, with 2.1 hdmi ports. This is not quite clear what will happen (atmos or not atmos?) : if I have a atmos source (4K BD, apple tv, PS5) plugged on one hdmi port and sonos ARC on ARC hdmi if i stream from one of the TV apps (netflix, disney+….) (but there i guess it will be loss atmos = DD+?) Your answer for the passthrough atmos is very important and will lead to a sad or not decision of buying this bar. Thank you very much for you answer,
Hi - I own a sonos playbar and have it mounted on the wall with on the sonos playbar bracket. I am interested in the Arc and wonder if it could be mounted on the playbar bracket?
I read a lot of reviews and watched quite a few comparisons online before I purchased a Move. I’ve had it about 10 days now and REALLY want to love this speaker as much as my others but have been slightly underwhelmed.... I mean it’s a nice speaker and all, but I was hoping to be as impressed as I have been with all my other Sonos speakers (Beam for TV, pair of Ones w Sub in LR, One in Kitchen, One SL in Bathroom and One SL in Bedroom). Some of the online reviews I read said that the Move is more powerful than the One (a reviewer claimed it’s “like 1.5 Ones” and others had similar sentiments), but frankly I can hardly tell any difference whatsoever between a One and the Move when I put them side-by-side (tested by toggling back and forth, muting one and then the other with different types of music). The Move may have slightly more bass, but if anything a One actually sounds a little more crisp to my ear, and the volume difference when the two are at the same point on the slider is
Hi there I’m considering buying the new Arc and also, upgrading my tv. how important is it, for my new tv to have eArc capability? what about hdmi 2.1? what sort of functions of the Sonos Arc will not be available to me if my TV doesn’t support eArc/HDMI 2.1? Thank you.
Is it possible to get sound coming out of Sonos Amp - driving 4 speakers Sonos Sub - connected wirelessly Sonos Arc Can I get music to play from them all as well as getting whatever is on the TV playing through all the speakers too? Ta
my electrician cut 10” holes for my ceiling speakers. Is that too big? I know the recommended cut out is 8.25”
I am moving to a new home and would like to purchase a Sonos system. However my home has some limitations that necessitate a bit of a custom setup. I would like to run sonos ARC for my LCR Sonos amp to power rear surround (in-ceiling) I would also like the Amp to feed an lfe signal to my subwoofer. This is where things get fuzzy, there following article states it can’t be done: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/2237?language=en_US “Note that the Subwoofer and Line-In connections are disabled when Connect:Amp is used as surrounds.” However it appears to be referencing the old Connect:Amp. I would like to know if my setup is viable. Unfortunately sonos subs are simply not an option due to how large the space is
I have a few Sonos Connect devices around the house and enjoy them very much. I also have a Sonos Amp and several Play 1’s, One’s and Sub. Having recently been bitten by the Vinyl bug and cautiously entering this world with the acquisition of a Fluance turnable + external preamp (has not arrived at), I was wondering if the Sonos Port offers better performance when compared to the Sonos Connect. I could connect it to my Sonos Amp, but would prefer to connect it to another Sonos Connect setup I have in the house. I would then stream form that setup to other Sonos devices in my houshold. I have no need for Apple AirPlay.
I wish to purchase the Sonos Arc, would they take the money immediately for back ordered products or when item is in stock and despatched? Thanks
Hi, Trying to figure out if the Arc creates an immersive 3D-like experience during music playback ?(streaming or mp3) How many drivers will be used during music streaming? Just 2? The entire 11? Thanks
