Hello this past spring I told you about my recommendations for adding an equalizer. Since that time, I have not received any news from you or any updates to this effect regarding the potential addition of this one. Since we android smart phone users can in no way optimize and qualify our sound with your feature (only apple), adding ASAP an equalizer would be appropriate and respectable on your part to make it fair for all your customers. Thank you and I am waiting to hear from you.
Hi there,I have been wanting to try Sonos for some time I decided to jump in and bought 2 x Sone One speakers and a Sonos Five. I must say I love the sound and so far have loved the app as well. Generally I have no complaints, however……I have been reading lately about this big Sonos client support dump a year or so ago when they decided to split an S1 and S2 app so older products could keep working. I read the initial plan was to brick older products. I have also been reading a pile of bad reviews about Sonos support, arrogance, bad updates and so on. I gather many long term customers have left Sonos for other product and seem really annoyed. My question and hope for comments - from those who have been around. Is it safe to start building a system with Sonos. Am I likely in 3 years to have bricked equipment and lack of support. Some people I have read about had spent thousands upon thousands of dollars only to be left in the lurch.I don’t have any problem with equipment being superseded
Seeing how I have a $40 pair of speakers I got off Amazon that can play stereo via bluetooth, I find it a major feature missing from Sonos Move that it cannot play stereo in Bluetooth mode. Seriously, a $40 pair of crappy speakers can do it but not two Sonos Moves. I expect more from a high priced speaker!
I had my Roam for just under 4 months when it just stopped working and wouldn’t turn on. I contacted customer support by phone on 25th August. After taking me through a few troubleshooting steps, they concluded that the Roam was faulty and that it should be replace. They sent me an email asking for details of the serial number etc, which I replied to immediately. I then received an email informing me that:“You will receive another email from us soon, with instructions for you to confirm your information and complete the return authorization.”The email never arrived so on the 31st August I contacted Sonos again, this time via chat. The missing email was resent, it contained my return authorization number and a link asking me to confirm the type of exchange I wanted. I didn’t want to pay for another Roam, so chose to return the faulty Roam first, then have a new one dispatched. I was informed that:“To ensure a successful delivery, our logistics partner will be contacting you via email w
So I’m new to Sonos and building a new house in the next 12 months. I get alerts when someone posts and there seems to be a lot of issues. I get it most people don’t post if things are working perfectly. Currently looking at the Arc, gen 3 sub and 2 ceiling speakers (non Sonos) in a large room with vaulted ceiling and open concept. Also putting 2 ceiling speakers in an adjacent screened patio. My installer recommends a Sonos amp in the screened room and another separate amp in the family room. This will be quite expensive when installed and does not include a new tv at that time. I want to hear about people having a similar setup or just the Arc with sub that thinks the sound is amazing. There seems to be a large group that are saying the sound is a mess and needs some kind of software update. I just want to be sure this system is worth the money. Thanks
https://www.techradar.com/amp/news/sonos-speakers-are-getting-more-expensive-for-no-real-reason If you thought Sonos products were already overpriced hold on to your hats because Sonos just decided to increase prices across most of their product range by a lot. Sonos Arc, for example, will now cost just shy of $1000. A thousand bucks for a soundbar is a ridiculous price even if the product was absolutely flawless. Alas, a quick stroll through this forum is proof enough of the many problems and missing features plaguing Sonos products. Let’s put this in context. Sonos is already doing pretty great (and you can read more about it in the article linked above). They are profitable, popular and have a bit of a cult following with some customers (including me until today). Their products most likely have huge profit margins given the relatively common and simple technology involved and the fact that Sonos product cycles are very long.So why the sudden price increase, even on products that ha
I hope Sonos can reduce the length of Beam to 23 inches. 27-inch monitor is around 23 in/ 60 cm wide. It also makes Beam an alternative choice for customers other than Sony S200F, Bose TV speaker, JBL Bar, etc.
Simple Question:If I were to buy a SONSO product today (which i won’t - you lot me as a customer) how long will it be before you hoodwink me with my new SONOS products? We talking 6-years again? Just don’t understand how I, or anyone else could ever trust you again…. Can you give me an honest answer about how long my “new” SONOS product will work before you pull the same tricks?
Sonos had plenty of opportunity in the 00’s to develop the app to include both guest access and decouple the dependency on an account. Unfortunately, marketing ruled over functionality and the result is an arrogant, inflexible product which only dedicated followers will continue to use.
Are there software update plans to allow someone to connect two Sonos Moves using Bluetooth to make a stereo pair? This would make it a significantly better product.
I’ve been trying to find a way of disposing of a Play:1 any other way than binning it. It doesn’t come up on my account to apply for an upgrade and don’t mind. Just want to dispose of it thoughtfully.
Hi, could we get a volume limit based on time? There is already a hardcoded percentage volume limit in S2.Since there are laws like Noise Regulation for Apartment Tenants.I have 2 SONOS Subs and living in an area when after 10 pm, you are not allowed to make any noise that other neighbors can hear. I saw this around, but the post is like 2y old without much change, and this is an easy and vital feature for owners and not owners of Sonos products. Thank you
Hey all! I’m making this post simply to throw my hat into the ring for wanting stereo pairing over Bluetooth using the Sonos Roam. I was pretty disheartened to receive mine and find out that it only works via WiFi. For an otherwise feature-rich and premium product, it seems like a glaring omission. Heck, I’d be satisfied with having the option of pairing two or more together as a group instead of in a stereo pair.Given that I’ve since discovered that the Move has yet to support this also, I’m assuming there must be some significant technical hurdles preventing it, so I’m certainly not going to get my hopes up… that said, I gotta at least ask in the hopes that this can some day be a reality. My Roam is so lonely by itself, but if I can’t make a stereo pair/group over Bluetooth, it’ll just have to get used to it lol. Thanks a bunch!
When playing music with surrounds set to full, please could we have the option to mute the soundbar, thus improving stereo image of music tracks. Many thanks
I was searching for the desktop Sonos app and came across ‘Only Sonos’ (https://only.sonos.com) It is owned by Sonos as it shares the same privacy policy. Unable to sign in with existing Sonos account nor create a new account as it requires an access code. The favicon is a graduation cap and there is mention of ‘academy’
Am I the only person that is moving away from Sonos due to this Sonos 2 compatibility crap that they tried a few years ago and stopped? I’ve invested close to $5,000 for my entire house over a couple years and have had enough. I can’t afford to buy a house full of new sound products every few years. Any suggestions on options?
I’m in the same boat as many other legacy Sonus customers. The lack of integration of new products like Roam and Move with our legacy S1 products is a betrayal of those loyal Customers that helped make the company successful.I could understand Sonus developing S2 to take advantage of additional features that may not be available for S1 compatible equipment, but to not make them backward compatible at some basic level is either lazy or incompetent - the alternative, suggesting this by design smacks of a company seeking to generate future revenue from planned obsolescence rather than innovation.Only option for me at this point is to take both the Roam devices back to the store and no longer consider myself a Sonus Customer.
Hi, my library is bigger then 70000 titles. Is it possible to split my lib in two parts and use two sonos connects to play my music. My idea is to play lib1 with connect 1 and lib2 with connect 2 both? Thanks for any help
I am posting this after reviewing a lot of forum exchanges about the playlist limitations. I recently upgraded my home with four new Amps, replacing the Connect amps (though one is still in line). It was my understanding that these new Amps were more powerful and robust, faster processors and so forth using the S2 app. I get that Sonos and other companies are pushing people to streaming or serving to the masses who stream instead of using their own music (if they even own any). But I’ve been in the radio business all my life. I have 15,000 songs and just shy of 1,000 playlists. Some people have asked on the Sonos forums; “Why do you need so many playlists?” My response is; What does it matter to them? The fact is, I curate my playlists in ways that satisfy my tastes. For example, genres are broken into various categories such as AM Pop (Top 40 for your purposes), Classic Rock, XM, FM Pop, CHR and so forth as well as by eras (e.g. “1970-1975”), ratings (e.g. On top of the just named pl
Currently in the android app, volume can be adjusted as a group or per device when group streaming. Initial volumes vary per device based on prior usage which requires normalizing the volume of each device. After that, volume can be adjusted as group with the phones volume buttons. Adjusting each device is annoying. It would be helpful to be able to select one device on the volume menu and the rest of the devices in the group match the volume of that device. This would be a quick adjust setting (not a permanent toggle) so existing functionality to adjust per device or as an entire group is retained.
Hi. A very small but still annoying issue. I’m using the Sonos app on my iPhone, and when I’m adding songs to my queue I get the ‘One track added to the queue’ banner each time. Fair enough. But why does this banner need to stick here on my screen for like 4-5 seconds? 1 second would do. It’s annoying.
