I purchased a refurbished Sonos One SL directly from Sonos. The new speaker arrived on 5/3, but I was not able to connect the speaker to my Sonos system. I called Sonos support the same day and worked with a technician to determine that the “infinity button” was not working and the speaker was defective and needed to be replaced. The technician was not able to generate a return request because of “system problems” but he assured me I would hear back from the “Return team” within 24-48 hours. Since then, I have contacted support twice more and both time I was told that my case had been escalated and I would hear from the “Return team” in 24-48 hours and that there was nothing else the technical support team could do to assist me. Unfortunately, I have not received any instructions on how to return the defective speaker and have invested 5-10 hours waiting on hold, talking with support, etc. I find it strange that a premium brand like Sonos is unable to handle a routine task like proces
Simple question. The new app seems to have lost so much functionality and is no longer intuitive. I did not consider myself in the backwaters regarding IT and digital and I am an avid Sonos user. However, I cannot believe that this was released with so many challenges still to be worked through. Is there to be further work done on this to simplify its use.
App automatically upgraded and I now cannot access free Sonos radio content .i have repeatedly tried to re authorise my account but to no avail what a shambles for a premium product you would expect a well tested and premium app and yet again we have not got that whilst I like the speakers the updates to the app are second rate to say the least any ideas as to how I resolve radio issue
App is now garbage and convoluted
HelloThe new Sonos app update hit me unexpectedlyVery disappointed, very non-intuitiveFor starter, anyone know how to go back to old app which is much more user friendly? On this new app, the music keeps shutting off after a few songs. Is there a hidden song limit or time limit? I'm pulling off Spotify. Thanks
I don’t use the alarm function. If I update the app on the one iOS device where I’ve already updated to keep that one up to date, will this mess up the older app on my other iOS devices where I haven’t updated? I’d like to be able to keep the other devices from being updated as long as possible, so I can still control my system, while monitoring the progress of the new app on the one device.i’m thinking there will be a problem because this update involves a firmware update. However, wondering if anyone has actually tried this and, if so, what happened?
In one of the few responses out of the many questions asked at the AMA yesterday, there was mention of new cloud services and speaker control from the web.Does anyone know more about the security model used here?Is there any guidance around what ports need to be blocked if you *never* want access outside of your home?
One thing you can say about the new app debacle is that there has probably never been such passionate and intense engagement by the use community.
Email Sonos CEO ( ceo@sonos.com ) No Alarm or Sleep Timer on New App and can’t download Old App
How do I return my 13 speakers for a refund? The new app is horrible. I don’t care about the alarm, queues, or platforms. What good is that IF the App does not work. I can’t control the speakers. They are slow and clunky. At times the app is non responsive. The soundbar for tv is not recognizable. Tv controls are gone. I can’t use the system. I WILL ONLY KEEP MY SYSTEM IF THERE IS S NON APP BASED WAY TO CONTROL THE SYSTEM.
Why is Sonos not letting me update my music library to the new app from my Mac desktop
Why does my crappy Sonos constantly disconnect three or four times every day!?!?! I’ve checked my intern and WiFi, there’s no problem. It’s Sonos that is *****!! Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I have been trying to figure out what had happened to my setup with Play1, Mini Sub and Playbar… and have discovered a community who are feeling as I do. It is unfortunate that we were made to be an experiment and have our ‘sound’ lives turned upside down. I am not the “teckiest” but can get by….but this latest blunder is going to be a week’s worth of devotion to try and figure out how to fix it. After reading some of the comments, I have deleted the new app from my iPhone and will delete it from my iPad….my laptop has the old SONOS app on it….so I will keep it and try to muddle through until SONOS decides that their timeline is effective in fixing all of the issues that they have bestowed upon their customer base. I am seriously thinking of jumping ship .. very bad, very unprofessional...just so odd why SONOS would do this without first testing it….
Why did you do this,I consider another system right now,it is terrible, all changed, no connection.****!!! Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
After disappointment with being unable to connect my £500 Move 2 and bracket to my app and existing whole house Sonos system i am trying to return. printed off labels packed back in box however the instructions given and illustrations do not match the UPS form so how on earth do i return? can I just stick label on boxes and take to UPS store?
I have purchased 6 ROAMs over the past couple of years. 3 of them have completely died and not rechargeable. I was able to speak to customer support before the app change and have had one replaced. I am trying to get the other 2 replaced but cannot get through to support. Wait times over the past few days have been 145 minutes, 75 minutes, 80 minutes, and 60 minutes. The Live Chat is mostly unavailable. The one time I got a live person, they ended the chat mid chat and no I didn’t go idle for 5 minutes. The one time I waited 75 minutes and got a person, they disconnected me after 3 minutes of conversation. Please let me know when you have time to help me. Thanks
Hallo since the latest update manage network is emty i cannot add it also when i go to my device its not showing a network.
I currently own more Sonos products than I can count, at least 15 to the tune of probably $10k. They have been reliable for the most part and, in the past, when they were not, I simply called Sonos and the unit would be exchanged for a working one in a simple quick, understandable transaction. The last time I had an issue was several years ago.Fast forward to the present. Without question, the absolute WORST customer service!!!!! I recently purchased 2 Roams. The charging wire on one of them was defective. I called Sonos to replace the wire. Very long story short, after over an hour on the phone which included the necessity of a video over my phone to show the defective wire, Sonos told me I would have the wire within 3 to 5 business days. 10 days later - nothing. I called again and spent more than 2 full frustrating hours on the phone with 3 different people 2 of which disconnected me and did not call back. All three representatives asked me the same exact questions at least 10 times
I performed the true play steps but it doesn’t save the information
I listen to my tuner radio stations a lot, after new updates both recently played and favourite stations do not work, something went wrong message appears. I can still get the stations to play by finding them again but it is a bit of a pain. I would love to go back to the previous version if possible, at least it worked, come on sonos get it sorted.
The new app is terrible and very frustrating to use! As a previous Beta tester, I can’t believe this new app was beta tested because there are so many things not working as well as the previous version. Specifically, loading the app is taking up to 15 seconds to come to life; the speaker group does not default to the previously selection and the volume changes with too much latency with the delay irritating. I would love for someone to point out what I am doing wrong or for the app to be fixed ASAP!
So I'm fed up with hardware being forcibly outdated and then an app released which removes functionality and is basically pushing UAT to us consumers. SO... what is the alternative to Sonos? There must be a better platform who respect their customers!!!???
Why are you not giving customers the opportunity to go back to the previous app version ?stating that it with take months to sort out the vast amount of kinks is just a huge disservice to your users. There are so many things that my system is unable to do. Half off the network. Can't add voice support. Alarms.. the list goes on.
What were you thinking, this new app is NOT ready for prime time! No playlists, no alarms, cannot delete music services, my favorites are all missing. Individual volume of rooms that are grouped can only be done in the groupe list!?!. These are issues on both Android and iOS. All you have done is pissed off your customers and created a ton of headaches for your support team as well as your dealers! For anyone who hasn't upgraded yet, DONT! The old version is far better. Once they FINISH the app it should finally be the “better experience” they promised, but right now it's minimally functional at best!
How could Sonos have released such a disgracefully flawed update? Or is this an undiagnosed case of corporate suicide?
