Hi all, Wonder if you can give me some advice please. I'm thinking of buying a turntable to play all of my old vinyl and I want it to work with my current Sonos setup. Everything that I've read suggests that it needs to be a cable connection between the turntable and speaker. Provided I buy a WiFi enabled turntable, can I connect via WiFi to the speaker? Many thanks 😀

Would like some advice please. I have Virgin TiVo box with a beam 5.1 setup in my room. I also have a beam in my summerhouse. Only thing is I am only getting stereo 2.0 on both TVs with content that should be 5.1. Now I know this is the switch and I don’t mind it being in stereo 2.0 in the summerhouse if it is not possible over cat 7. But I would like the 5.1 setup back in the bedroom. Question is if there are any proven splitters out there that will work with the beam and sound will work at 5.1.thank you in advance 

I saw in the FAQ that the Move battery will last 900 charges or 3 years.    What if I mainly leave it on the charging tray and occasionally use it solely on battery?    Will the battery last longer than 3 years then?    

I have my system updates set to “update automatically” and in the 2 hour morning window. Will I be notified when an update has been applied to my system? Am I better to check for updates manually?

Hi, I am aware that there are multiple Samsung remote issues on these forums, but I believe mine may be distinct. Last night, my Beam suddenly stopped working w/ the Samsung TV. After factory resetting the beam, unplugging the TV for 60 seconds, and then setting everything up anew, it is working again. However, starting tonight, my remote (similar to the one pictured here) won’t control the TV volume (though the Sonos app will). This had worked fine for months and even did last night after I redid the setup. What’s especially strange is that when I hit volume up/down/mute on the remote, the normal popup that an “HDMI” volume change is underway pops up on the screen, so it is receiving some command, the volume just never changes. Any ideas? Thank you for your help.

Hi all senior in Sonos Community. Nice meeting you.  I just got my Sonos Arc and connected to youtube music now and i love the music alot compare to my Yamaha 209.My question is i try connect to my 10 years old LG TV and it cant connect the sound and it does not comes with Optical.Then I try my Xiaomi Laser Projector 150 inch and nothing is available as well. sob sob.May I ask what TV should i get to get Sonos Arc compatible with zero issue with plug in Earc and issue solved. I plan to play PS4/5 with it.Initially I try looking at LG C9 but some senior here mentioning there is issue with it as well.So to cut story short, which is best TV and value for money TV should i got to pair with Sonos Arc.Will TCL 825 does the trick or we need min flagship TV like LG CX or Sony X90H works as well. As kinda on tight budget and does not want to spent alot on OLED as heard it will burn in quickly as well alot samsung cant connect to the sonos arc.Thank you and looking forward to your reply soon.  

I decided to purchase a Sono Move a little over a week ago and so far I am extremly dissappointed.  Sales blurb states 120hrs battery life in STBY, 10hrs playback.  After fully charging and setup I’ve been lucky to get 2 days (48hrs) when in stby (power button on back pressed and all lights off) with  a couple of  hours playback.  It also randomly switches itself back on after being set to stby. A few days ago I fully charged it, switched off the mic, set it to stby and the next morning, some 10hrs later, it was already down to less than 60% charge remaining after no playback.  Presently I’m recharghing every other day with maximum of 5hrs playback.I love the speaker but it’s battery life is at best rubbish, even my power hungary smartphone lasts at least 2days.Is my speaker/battery faulty or is this normal?  If that latter it will be returned for a refund.

When I run the Spotify application on my Windows 10 laptop it (almost) never finds my Sonos speakers. When I start the Spotify app on my Android or Apple phone it immediately shows all available devices. When I start the Sonos app on my laptop it also finds the Sonos speakers within a second. All my devices are on the same wifi network and same vlan. The problem seems to be in the Spotify Windows client. Or is it something in the Sonos system?

I have successfully added the mixcloud music service to Sonos.How do I play a mixcloud live stream?If I follow a mixcloud user, I can see them in the Sonos App:Mixcloud > My Profile > Following > {mixcloud user} > StreamHowever, all I see is ‘No selections are available’Is mixcloud live stream supported in the Sonos Mixcloud Music Service? 

I’ve tried Google Music, Youtube Music, and Spotify.What is the best music vendor to use on Sonos so I don’t have to worry if someone else is listening to music in another room?

Is it possible to set up a turntable wirelessly/bluetooth to the Amp?

Sonos newbie here. So I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable and a preamp that I would like to set up with a pair of Fives for stereo sound. Is it possible to hardwire both or do I just use a rca to 3.5mm to one of the Fives and then couple the 2nd Five using the software?  Greatul for any advice here!   

Hello everyone, I am having an issue that I believe is related to an iphone. My wife's iphone 8 was working fine with our Sonos network until it decided to not work. The app and said there were no Sonos items on the network. At that point I uninstalled the app, restarted the phone, restarted the router, power cycled speakers, etc.So now we cant even login in the app on one of our devices because it cant see any Sonos devices on the network.My iphone 8 plus is still able to connect, and my daughters iphone 7 both connect fine, we can see all the speaks, connect and link them together in a group.All iphones are running ios 14.3, and the Sonos apps have all been updated to current. The ios sonos app we are using is Sonos 12.2.2the router is a Google Nest mesh network. The Google Home app is version 2.32.11 no idea about hardware version or whatnot. Anyone have a problem aimilar to this?

HI, I have a play bar and 2 play 1’s set on my living room TV. I use optical feed from the TV direct to the play bar.  we have a problem that intermitently the sound changes from surround to what seem like music ambient play setting, so the vocal audio etc is sent to all three speakers, then at a random time ti will revert back to normal surround. So damn annoying!!! :-)Any ideas would be greatly welcomed!!! pleeeeeeeasecheers ALan 

Hi I know this has been asked many times before but it always seems to be in one direction.Now I have my HiFi system with record deck and CD player feeding into an integrated amp (NAD C 368). This drives two pairs of passive speakers. What I want to do is link my HiFi amplifier into Sonos so I can play my vinyl and CDs through my Sonos set up. All the other posts seem to be bringing Sonos into the HiFi or missing the HiFi amplifier out and connecting the record desk direct to Connect. I don't want to do this as I want to retain the record deck playing through the passive speakers in one room - which is much better quality than sonos, but want to be able to switch the HiFi output into Sonos around the rest of my house.My HiFi amplifier has a Pre-out. Maybe it is obvious but its a little unclear to me - can I just feed this into the Port or do I need the Amp?(stupidly I just upgraded to Sonos 2 and this stopped my exiting Connect:AMP from working as I think this may have been a solution!

I have an older PLAY5 plus two PLAY 1s and a BEAM and just  took delivery  of a new PLAY5  to be compatible with S2   I thought I could play all the  new compatible stuff with S2 but then switch back to S1 to include my new PLAY5 . S1 now says the Play 1s and the Beam is incompatible and can only use the old PLAY5 as a stand alone. Is this right as it is now what I previously read?

I have home with built in speakers throughout home in ceilings. I have Connect and output wires going to speakers and it shows playing thru the app but no sound. Do I also need a receiver going into the Connect as a Line in to hear the music?  Or can it just play trough the app and the WiFi. Thanks for any guidance. 

Watching the new series of Dark Materials on BBC iPlayer in UHD this evening through the iPlayer app on my LG Nano TV. I'm definitely getting really good surround sound through the rear speakers connected to my Arc, but the system says Stereo PCM 2.0. I am confused!! Any ideas?

I recently uninstalled and re-installed the Sono desktop controller - the reason being is that the displayed playlist did not reflec the playlist I have setup in iTunes. Specifically I now have under imported playlists, 11 (eleven) instances of a playlist called “downloaded”. There is no such playlist setup in iTunes! The contents of these playlist include non-playable songs (“Unable to play, the saher does not exists”) Its is pointing to an old share which is no longer in use.Is there anything I can do to solve this annoying problem?ThanksEd

Hi,I have recently purchased the Sonos Arc, w/sub & 4 one SL. The electronics store that I purchased it from guaranteed that I would be able to connect the Sonos to this projector and everything they sold me I’ve had nothing but issues. I have checked the forums here and have found this product as a highly recommended product. The video for the projector flows through the device properly but the audio does not.  Am I missing something here?
