I want to upgrade my system with several ZP120 and ZP 90s with AMPs and PORTs. However my setup is wired in a cabinet and honestly, thinking about rewiring that rack makes me hesitant to upgrade. With that being said, It looks like the power cord input on the AMP looks similar to the ZP120. Are they compatible?
Just absolutely useless despite a million updates which never improve anything.. One second everything find. Next.. Unable to find your sonos system.. 50% of time.. Quit the app 5 times and relaunch and its fixed.. 50% of the time have to reset the app.. Close it. Connect to existing system and Voila.. Wow now you can see it.. Is this the Apple way of forcing you to upgrade products by just giving up support for older items? Ever since the split between s1 and s2 this has been a terrible experience for me
Hi,i would like to get some thoughts on best orientation of pair of Sonos five for great music experience especially with bass heavy music with a lot of emphasis on subtle sounds and sub-bass. my room is 5.5*3.5 open space connected to kitchen.
What happens to the old Play 5, when I upgrade to Five using the upgrade credit? I don’t need it, but Sonos does not appear to want it back.
I have a variety of Sonos One (Gen 2 + SLs) as well as a 3 pairs of Sonos Ikea Symfonsik Speakers around the house. If I try to get them all to play as grouped they only play on the kind of speaker that started the music. For example if I start off on a sonos one speaker and group them all (even the Ikea sonos ones) they only play on Sonos Ones (SL + Gen 2). Likewise if I start with Ikea and hit play all, it only plays on the Symfonsik speakers. In total have 6 Sonos Ones and 6 Ikea Symfonisk, but can only get them to group play with their respective brand not all together. I tried resetting the speakers to no luck. Any help? Thanks!
I recently got a new router. My two sonos speakers reconnected to my network but my Connect isn’t found as a device. I can’t figure out how to reconnect it to the system. I’ve tried unplugging and that hasn’t worked.
Hi,i am relatively new to Sonos and i bought pair of Sonos Five for stereo playing music and now i am about to purchase Beam for the TV sound. Since the 3 devices are physically located in my living room, i would like to know if i can group them to synchronize music but keeping the Sonos Five pair as the main music playback source and the Beam to just support while playing music and if that is possible, can i control the volume separately between the pair of Fives from on side and the Beam on the other? the reason is that i want to capitalize on the powerful bass and rich highs or the Fives while the Beam to just elevate the sound a little bit when i am hosting a house party for example. thanks in advance
Obviously Sonos online help is incorrect when it comes to Switching from wired (SonosNet) to a wireless setup.https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3209?language=EnOn that page is says:Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android. From the Settings tab, tap System > Network > Wireless Setup and follow the prompts to enter your WiFi password.Well, there is no “Wireless Setup” option when you have a wired setup. Instead there is a “manage network” and when clicking the option “update network”. I have tied that path but it doesn’t work.So what is the right approach to Switch to a wireless setup?
I just ordered Sonos HD (the new service) so that I could get rid of the commercials in the middle of the music. Now that I’m subscribed and paying for the service I still hear “you are listening to _____ on Sonos radio” announcement every once in a while. Those announcements are precisely the stuff that I’m paying to get rid of. Am I doing something wrong? If I have guests over to the house the last thing I want is for the music playing to be interrupted for Sonos to promote themselves. If this is a thing that I can’t change I’ll be canceling the service immediately. Is there a way to get rid of them? Thanks!
Can you please stop asking me to try Sonos radio in the app?!?!? If I press X I am NOT interested so why does it keep reappearing inside the app!!!!!
Hi,Has anyone experience if the combo Sony TV A8H and Sonos Arc will work flawless together ? Any known issues ?ThanksFrank
hi, i recently moved into new home, already equiped with in ceiling speakers and outdoor speakers. also, in the wall are a couple knobs for volume, and several L&R wires in the media room which i assume were connected to the source.I am in no way very technical and want to make this as easy to utilizs as possible. i need to know what i need in order to be able to use these pre-wired speakers. i think the way i understand it is this…. i need the amp to connect to the pre-wires, from there i download the sonos app and can start streaming. sound right?but also, if i want to play my cds/vinyl, i would need the port as well to tie into my tuner/ cd player/ record player?does this sound right? any and all insight is appreciated. best,
Just picked up a Sonos Arc soundbar and before I connect the surrounds and sub I wanted to make sure that I'm able to get Atmos output on the soundbar from my Nvidia Shield that is connected to my Marantz Receiver. Here's my equipment:TV: Sony XBR65Z9F (eARC compatible)Receiver: Marantz 6014 (eARC compatible)Media Player: Nvidia Shield TVSoundbar: Sonos Arc Here is how things are connected:ARC is connected to Sony TV via HDMI 3 (eARC enabled)Marantz is connected to Sony TV via HDMI 2Shield is connected to Marantz HDMI 5 Playing apps directly from the Sony TV result in Dolby Atmos being output on the Sonos ARC. The issue like many people have is that I have multiple devices connected to my Marantz and prefer to use the Shield to launch my streaming app (netflix, prime, hbo, plex, etc).If i connect the Shield directly to the Sony TV via HDMI 2 then I can get Dolby Atmos to play on the Sonos. If I then connect it to the marantz then I will only get PCM. Here's the kicker....I enable HDMI p
Was using my Xbox series X with my Sonos ARC when it made a really loud bang/pop noise and I lost all Audio to my ARC. It’s reconnected however the sound is way quieter than before, I have to put the volume up to around 50-60 to get it to a normal volume when in the past I could have it at 20. I ran a diagnostics dunno that would say if a driver was damaged? 1651538776. Any body else had this and needed a replacement ARC?
So, out of the blue, the Artist listing on my android device is now not in alphabetical order, it is extremely annoying and if anyone has any idea how to fix this i would be very appreciative.
Hello everyone, I am having an issue that I believe is related to an iphone. My wife's iphone 8 was working fine with our Sonos network until it decided to not work. The app and said there were no Sonos items on the network. At that point I uninstalled the app, restarted the phone, restarted the router, power cycled speakers, etc.So now we cant even login in the app on one of our devices because it cant see any Sonos devices on the network. My iphone 8 plus is still able to connect, and my daughters iphone 7 both connect fine, we can see all the speaks, connect and link them together in a group. All iphones are running ios 14.3, and the Sonos apps have all been updated to current. The ios sonos app we are using is Sonos 12.2.2the router is a Google Nest mesh network. The Google Home app is version 2.32.11 no idea about hardware version or whatnot. Anyone have a problem aimilar to this?
Hi, i have a “problem” with my setup, that i can read many people have. My setup is: TV: Samsung UE49KS7005 Nvidia Shield 16gb 2017 version Sonos Beam+2play:1 rear speaker. Cable: HDMI ARC between TV and beam Shield connected to HDMI port on samsung tv HDMI input. When ever i play Netflix, plex movies on the build in app on my TV, the sound is decoded fine to Dolby digital 5.1. but everything on my shield i play is mainly “Stereo 2.0” when i look in my sonos. i know it has something to do with the sonos beam dont support DTS and whatever more. first i thought i would look for a new soundbar setup, that could handle almost all codec from the shield, but before i do that. Could this be solved by buying a media player, maybe apple tv or whatever, that can “decode” or transfer the signals to Dolby digital plus? i just want a setup where everything i play isnt being downgraded to stereo, but either DTS / dolby dependent on what i watch on plex / netflix. or a sma
I have play 3’s are all the sub generations compatible? thank you
I’m trying to setup an alarm with a Sonos Radio station, but thats next to impossible. There is no search for radio stations in the alarm setup, nor is the Sonos favorites list available. How the heck do I find my station among the thousands of stations? Give it a try: try set up an alarm with egoFM. egoFM is available at Sonos Radio, but I couldn’t manage!
Après l’avoir éteint, mon Sonos Move s’allume automatiquement et finit par complètement se décharger. Comment empêcher cela ?Merci d’avance
Hi All, I finally got my Sonos home theater (Arc, Sub and One SL) after waiting for 3 months. I unboxed it today and after trying for good 8 hours still can’t connect it with my LG TV. Message on Sonos APP : HDMI ARC not detected. Make sure the HDMI cable is connected to the ARC port and your TV is on.Following are the steps which I already performed after reading many forums.Reset factory settings of TV Reboot and unplug source Tried different HDMI Cables CEC/Simplink on LG is on. Sound option is connected to HDMI ARC and checked with all options (PCM, AUTO and Pass Through). Checkec Arc port (HDMI 2 on side) Device connector ( HDMI 2 (ARC) -- Connected to sonos (Set for Universal remote) complete. TV remote is responding when volume reduce (-) button is pressed and it blinks on sonos sound bar.Outcome : When sound mode is selected to Arc, no output from TV.This is my first sonos but my experience so far is not that great. However I was able to connect Arc through music app. Please
I was looking to replace the PolkAudio sound bar in my home theater setup and the Sonos ARC came highly recommended. The problem is I can’t figure out a way to connect my Pioneer receiver to properly work with my system. Currently I have:Sonos ARCLG OLED65CXPUA TVPioneer Elite VSX-84TXSi Receiver with the following plugged in:Apple TV Xbox Series X Onkyo Laserdisc Player Panasonic Blu-Ray Verizon Fios TunerI want to use the Pioneer to keep managing my HDMI connections, but have the sound play properly through my Sonos ARC. My receiver does have a TOSLINK optical Audio out, and my TV is e-arc compatible, but I am not sure what would be the best way to get optimal sound from my Sonos.I know my setup is unique, but I am hoping that others have gone the route of going from a “dumb” soundbar to a more modern one using their older receiver.I am not looking to buy more components at this point, so any thoughts the community may have in regards to helping, please keep that in mind.Thank you al
From Amp / Port to Arc: Can the Arc play music from analog devices connected to Sonos Amp or Sonos Port? I have a CD player and a turntable which I would like to listen to using the Arc. Is it possible to connect them to Port or Amp and stream the music to the Arc speakers or do I need to get an additional speakers? From Arc to Amp / Port: Can input from the TV going to Arc be streamed to Amp or Port and played over the wired speaker connected to them? Thanks!
I upgraded my Sonos system to S2 a few weeks ago. I have one Sonos Beam and two Sonos Play:1 speakers. A complicating factor is that I also switched to a new router a couple of weeks prior to the update, but the system seemed to be working well prior to the software upgrade to S2. Since the upgrade to S2, the connectivity to my speakers over the Sonos Mac OS X app has been very shoddy. On many occcasions, one or more speakers will not appear on the menu. Sometimes I will see the speaker on the menu, but when I attempt to play music I have difficulty getting a song to start. There are some occasions when the system seems to work, but it seems sporadic. Additionally, my ability to use my Sonos speakers directly from the Spotify application has essentially ceased. Please help!
I have an almost one your old Sonos Beam. Until today, the white status LED was on whenever the Beam was playing, and after a while idle the LED turned off automatically.Since today, the white led stays on all the time, also after hours ofo being idle. I know I can turn off the LED permanently in the app, but I don't want to do that. I like the led being one when the device is in use, and disappear when it's not.I already factory resetted the Beam as well as reinstalled the app, but this didn't help.Funny enough I read everywhere on the internet that the white led never turns off itself. But I am 100% sure mine did. It's frustrating me.Does anyone hava a solution? Is the white status light on your Beam turning off after being idle for a while?
