After listening to the new SONOS Radio HD for a while, I really enjoy and appreciate the High Quality fidelity! I really does sound like the best HQ compared to other music services. I am on the 1 month trial but I’ll pretty sure I’m going to become a subscriber. I do wish they’d offer a RENEW YEARLY subscription.Since I listen to a lot of Classical music , my recommendation would be that another Classical station would be curated that would present COMPLETE ENTIRE SYMPHONIES/ CONCERTOS, ETC. Right now there are only classical stations that present only single movements but not the COMPLETE piece.please consider this type of station. Thank you for the HQ and functionality of SONOS RADIO HQ! Ron
I have a new Sonos Arc ,sub and rear speakers. Which I am very pleased with it I have a few of issues that i would like some help with . How do I set the volume levels to be different for TV/ films and just music. The volume I need for TV is much higher than for music ( radio- streaming) so if I play music in the morning it comes on very very loud and its annoying . Can I set presets so music starts at one level and TV at another. In some films the dialogue is impossible to follow ( not all films) as the background sound are over powering. I read there is a dialogue enhancer but i cant find one or any way to cut back the background sounds. In some programmes there speech is no quite in sync -especially on channel 4 programmes. I have set the dialogue delay to 0 . Its not much of a delay and only really noticeable when its close ups on people.Any ideas what I can do to solve thee issues? Thanks
HiBest position to mount the Arc? Above or below the TV?
13.4 update includes:Sonos home theater products now support decoding DTS Digital Surround. A new Battery Saver mode is available for portable Sonos products. EQ settings are now accessible by pressing the icon on the Now Playing screen in the Sonos app for iOS. An HD badge now shows on the Now Playing screen while Sonos is playing higher quality audio. For anyone who thinks Sonos isn’t reading these forums or listening to their customers, this update is proof that they most definitely are listening. Thanks, Sonos!
I am traveling and brought my Sonos Roam. I connected my smart phone to my hotel’s wifi, and assumed my Roam would communicate with my phone via Bluetooth. When that didn’t work, I attempted to connect the Roam to the hotel wifi to repeat the Bluetooth pairing process. To connect to the hotel wifi, the end user must complete two separate fields: last name, and room number. The Sonos S2 software provides a single field for a password, so my Roam remains linked to my home wifi and I can’t renew the Bluetooth pairing. I disconnected my phone from the hotel wifi in hope that would make the bluetooth connection work. Oddly enough, my phone does appear to be paired to the Roam, but I can’t play music or connect to a service. How can I fix this?
Hello all, i have a living room with a 17 foot hight ceiling, I need a sound bar for my tv. I own a couple of play1 to possibly set up a surround. Im qorried that with the ARC (which is way over budget) the sound will be off due to my high ceiling. also, if i decide to get the beam, is the gen 2 worth it since i got high ceiling and i know its hard even for atmos ? thank you
Can Sonos AMP replac my NAD stereo amplifier?I currently use the stereo amplifier solely for listening to vinyls. My current setup consists of a Pro-ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable, Dali Oberon 3 speakers and a NAD C316.Around the house we have several Play:1 and a Playbar. The purpose of the Sonos AMP is NOT to get the vinyl sound to my other Sonos speakers but to include my Dali speakers into the rest of the Sonos setup when streaming music. Replacing the NAD amplifier cleans up the area which is preferred over getting a Sonos Port and adding that to the stack of tech gear. (just to keep the wife happy… )Reading about delay settings, compressed/uncompressed makes me wonder if the AMP can in fact work as a stereo amplifier without doing all sorts of audioprocessing. Keeping the sound as analog as possible when playing vinyls.Reading other post about turntables and sonos seems to be more about getting the sound from the turntable to other Sonos speakers. Where in my case this is not the
HiI have recently moved my setup and seemingly reset some settings as I'm no longer getting 5.1 from any Apple TV app.Internal to the TV apps are running 5.1 but anything through the ATV is stereo PCM…I've tried forcing the audio format to be changed to 5.1 through the ATV menu which seems to work but not for all apps, so I'd like to fix it properly if I can.Any other settings I should look at?
Any chance Sonos will bring this feature from Sonos Roam to Sonos Move with a software update?
Hello - I need some help from the community here. I have an outdoor TV (mounted way under the extended patio, no concern with rain issues). I also have a Move that I pair via Bluetooth for sitting in the hot tub so we can watch TV without blasting the sound from the TV itself. I am thinking of purchasing a sound bar on Black Friday and I’m considering the Beam among others. My desire is to have better sound when not in the hot tub than the standard TV speakers, and being able to watch from the patio and the hot tub at the same time.I understand that Beam/Move can’t be paired, but they can be grouped. My question: if I’m watching the TV with a beam underneath, will grouping the Move work? Will there be sync issues? Can I change volume independently on the beam and the move? As I only have one Sonos product now, I am unfamiliar with the process of grouping (wifi? BT?). Is there anything else I should consider?
Hi,With growing systems containing different types of components there would be great value in being able to combine these components in different ways depending on use and without having to manually reconfigure the system.Specifically, what I would like to request a feature that allows pre-defined configurations (groups) at the level of individual components. Here is an illustrative example:Group A: Arc + Subwoofer + Amp A (for rear speakers)Group B: Amp B + SubwooferGroup C: Amp A + SubwooferThe above reflects an actual setup I have in our home. The different combinations would optimize the use of my Sonos equipment e.g., for watching TV (Group A), listening to music in the living room (Group B) or listening to music in the kitchen (Group C).I have seen numerous similar requests in the forums. What are the chances of getting this implemented?Kind regards,Peter
Can Sonos Roam connect/disconnect to an already paired Bluetooth phone by google assistant voice command rather than manually connecting from phone's Bluetooth settings? I have a JBL Link which is a similar speaker and I just have to say - "Ok Google, connect phone" and it automatically connects to my phone. Does Roam have a similar feature?
My Sonos Arc purchased in 2020, tonight suddenly started to make low alarming sound every few seconds.I unplugged and plugged back in but still continued.any thoughts?
After last update speakers loosing connection. I am tired restarting system and app.
Hi everyone.do you know where I can find a speaker stand for my play 5 gen 1 ?thank you
A programme broadcast on Radio 6 this morning for example would be accessible a matter of hours later vis Radioplayer or MyTuner. I have attempted this today but no BBC programmes from today appear to be available. This is the case if I look further back on programmes which would otherwise have been available. Has something altered with the licencing does anyone know ? I know the issues with Tunein but thought the other services had escaped for the moment.
Need an Annual plan like every other music service. No ads to subscribe, already subscribed; also like every other music service.
Spotify has added a lyrics feature where you swipe up on the song playing and the lyrics appear highlighting the lines being sung.Sonos has recently added a numeric indication to the sliding volume scale, when operating from an iPhone a haptic is also added that you feel when the volume is being adjusted. It’s interesting that the lyrics feature only appears when your streaming directly from the Spotify app. When streaming Spotify via the Sonos app, the lyrics feature doesn’t appear. I usually always stream from the Sonos app so that’s a bit of a bummer. The volume control feature and haptic only appear when streaming from the Sonos app. I’ve always streamed Spotify from the Sonos app because most of the time I’m doing multi-room and use radio apps so out of habit stick with that. Is there any possibility the lyrics feature will ever be available when streaming Spotify from the Sonos app?
I wanted to buy some stands which are 71.99 on offer on the Sonos store but when I add them while logged in it shoots the price back up to 89.99 in the basket. Anyone else seeing this issue?
I have two CR100s with cradle & wall mount I put in my store prior to the OS update that was going to brick them. I am not searching back to find out the OS# but y’all know… They were working fine. At least one if not both had new batteries. They are physically good - one with a tiny mark when it was dropped. Is anyone still using them and could use two more? I’m not selling but would offer them for collection (preferred) or postage only to anyone that would use them in their system. UK postcode area G61 (Glasgow) though I’ll also probably be travelling down the M6 to Warwick & Bicester start of December. TBH I’ve no idea what is going on in Sonos land any more. Lost interest after this episode. Only really use 2/6 zones and majority of time for radio and S1 OS. Hey ho. The bundle The slight nick on corner of one controller
I just purchased the Sonos Beam.I have a Samsung Curved 65” TV connected with 1 Cable to the Samsung One Connect box (BN91-14846E). So from the TV to the Samsung One Connection box where all HDMI’s connections such as the AT&T DirecTv receiver.and the HT-D5300 Sound system are all interconnected. Before purchasing the Sonos Beam, my sound came from the Samsung HT-D5300 5.1 Channel Blue-ray home theater system. With new Sonos Beam, I get sound from the TV show we are watching including Netflix/Amazon Prime etc. via Sonos Beam except when I play a movie from the HT-D5300 blue ray/DVD player. I have 1 HDMI cable from that sound system to the Samsung All-In-One-Connect. I even connected an Infra-Red cable from that HT-D5300 Sound system to the AT&T Infra-Red but no sound while trying to play the blue ray/DVD player. I have connected the Sonos Beam directly to the HT-D5300 sound system Infra-Red port but no sound while playing the DVD.Any assistance to get sound from our HT-D5300
Can I use my Sonos One speakers to play my music saved on my matchbook Pro
Can we connect Sonos Arc with One SL + One to make them 5.1 together.what I mean is one of friend has just bought Sonos Arc but back home he has One SL and One so can we a proper 5.1 setup or a stereo setup.
We have Sonos home config with several of the older generation of devices (Play:1, Play:3, and Soundbar). We'd like to make these easier to access from our Apple devices, so am contemplating buying e.g. a Sonos ONE based on the claim that this will enable AirPlay to control all the speakers. However posts like these ~3 years definitely suggest that the exact operating functionality and compatibility was not clear:How will extending AirPlay work Access to AirPlay 2 when using One as surround speakrSince it's been 2+ years since this was released, I'm hoping to now understand how this will works and (most importantly) any limitations or "gotchas" we should be ware of (e.g. potentially relative to speaker positioning, models, or grouping). For example:Will this work if I'm closest to one of the existing speakers, potentially out of range from the new Sonos ONE? Will it work if the speakers are part of a group? What if they are not part of a group? Will this work if the speakers are playin
two months since Apple’s iPhone 13 release and Trueplay is still not available to these devices. We all know techinical difficulty is not that hard, so the question is - are Sonos and Apple’s relationship that bad now?
