Does any one know, if a new Sonos Arc speaker is about to release any time soon ??On the Sonos.com ( DK) side, it states that the product is currently ordered as a backorder ( restordre ) . So that’s a bit strange, since that usually happens before a new product launch.. Just curious 👀
My Google-fu is failing me here, I can’t find where to subscribe to Sonos Radio anywhere in my profile, is the subscription product available in Australia?
I just bought a Sonos Roam and regret the decision. Seriously it does not work. Bluetooth volume curs out. Then will not increase in volume Scratchy notices. Absolutely hopeless. Took it on holiday and just a waste of time. Don't buy this product. I have 20 other speakers with Sonos and all (mostly) fine. This product is rubbish.
HelloI am planning on purchasing a refurbished sub gen 3 and since this is my first time buying refurbished from Sonia direct, I had a question about the box. Do the refurbished items come in an exact box that a brand new would come in? Is there any indication on the box (I.e certified replacement) or any other wording that would differentiate it from a brand new non refurbished so is product?
Canadian living in China for the last 8 years now. After a lot of research I decided to purchase a sound bar due to space restrictions living in China. In Canada I always used component AC3 systems but I have read that SB tech has come a long way. I recently purchased a 75r645 TCL which i am super happy with and its equipped with eARC so Sonos Acr and 2x One XL seems like the best choice. Due to likely protectionism taxes this unit is much more expensive (12,000 rmb) than other countries in China so it was a difficult choice over the MUCH cheaper Samsung HW-Q950A. Getting it up and running was not at all easy and a poor experience. Having the eARC and ability to control day to day operation with the TV remote was a big deciding factor over the Samsung. After 3 hours of playing with configurations randomly I finally got it working but the input lag and screen update for the remote is long and annoying. If this was a cheap product or old tech I would accept this…. but not conside
I heard from a friend of mine that technically, S2 is possible on S1 hardware - and all it takes is for Sonos to enable it on your system (which seemingly they can do remotely, presumably though your log on account).I’m told that if you have a big enough setup (ie. you’ve spent enough money with them) and make enough of a fuss, they’ll enable S2 for you. I have no idea if there are limitations once done, but S2 isn’t wildly different from S1 anyway, so probably not.Anyone know any more about this?
Why does my system echo when rear speakers are used?
Hello all, I would like to add a xmas radio, but it doesnt work :(Would somebody be so kind and check if link: https://stream.funradio.sk/xmas128.mp3 works after adding to the sonos radio?Thank you very much
Hi! I have the latest Sonos 5, a Move, two Roams and the Sub. My question is if I want to plug a turntable in via Aux socket into the 5, will it only play on the 5 or will it play on all speakers?
Hi,For many years now (since 2011?) I have been using Sonos Connect:AMP to play music in my study, on or via an iMac, with separate loudspeakers. The Connect:AMP is wired directly to a router (wired to the main modem/access point) in another room; the other Connect:AMP ethernet port is used to wire to the computer.I have always had problems with unstable wifi in this room, so after many experiments with extra routers I went for cabled only, also to make the most of the fast internet connection. This cabled set-up has worked perfectly for many years, but over the past two months or so (can’t remember exactly) I get Sonos dropouts constantly when loading/scrolling (heavier) webpages.I have had the same 2019 40Gb iMac with SSD drive for almost a year and made no recent changes in the system.I have reset the whole chain a few times but the problem persists. It occurs with all music, whether I use Sonos radio or Spotify or play music from my own library.I have not encountered anything similar
Unable to complete true play with my device, telling me it’s not supported
I just got an iPhone 13 and TruePlay is not supported.I also bought an iPad Air 4 and nearly a year later, the feature hasn’t been added yet. But Sonos sure is happy to tell me to buy all its new products instead. How long until this feature is added? Anyone taking bets? How many dollar bills do I have to cram into the HDMI port?
Is there an equivalent to Sonosequencr for Android? I had it on my old work iPhone, but no longer work there and my personal device is an Android. My wife has an ancient work iPhone so I can at least still use Trueplay, but she doesn’t want to install paid for apps. Is there an Android equivalent that’ll allow me to stereo (or surround) pair dissimilar speakers? Currently I’ve got my Playbar, Play:1 and Symfonysk set up as my surround system I think, but I can’t remember, and I may want to tweak that at some point in the future. EDIT: wasn’t clear enough I don’t think - it’s to allow me to stereo pair (a Symfonysk and Play:1 in my case) or configure dissimilar speakers as surround (so adding these 2 as rear surrounds to my Playbar) - not just simply playing across multiple different speakers.
Hi,I like a minimalist look and therefore am trying to figure out if I can only use Sonance in ceiling speakers with Sonos Amps for my TV audio (maybe add a subwoofer). I would like to NOT use a soundbar or other speakers, does this work? Our house has 5 in ceiling places speakers close to the TV wired to an AV room:one in the center right on top of the TVone to the left and one to the right on top of the tv two a bit further back behind the tv is a Samsung Neo 85” thanks for any suggestions,T
My 2,300-CD music collection is on a network-attached storage (NAS) drive labeled E:\Music Library. It is a 1-Terabyte external Hard Drive (HD) dedicated solely to music files. I designated that Path in the Sonos Music Library Settings. By and large, I can play what I want to hear and create Playlists. But: Q1: on the NAS HD, Windows Explorer shows “Van Morrison” for the file folder with that artist’s CDs. But, when I see that artist’s listings in Sonos, it shows “van morrison” rather than Van Morrison. What the? Where can I edit the Sonos file directory to fix this silly discrepancy? Q2: using Windows Explorer, I moved the CD “Easy Pieces” FROM the “Lloyd Cole” directory TO the “Lloyd Cole & The Commotions” directory. However, Sonos insists on still showing that CD as a Lloyd Cole release. What the? I DID do “Update Music Library Now” in Sonos with no resulting impact. Do I need to change a Sharing Setting for my File Management fixes to be seen by Sonos? Is there a “
My current living room setup consists of a Playbar, and a Play:1 / Symfonysk stereo pair, I think set up as a surround setup in Sonosequencer (but I can’t remember, as I no longer have an iPhone). The Playbar is connected to my TV via optical, and the living room setup is mostly used for TV audio. My room isn’t enormous. I’m wondering if changing my Playbar for a Beam v2 would be an upgrade, downgrade, or just different? Despite mines being pretty new, the Playbar does feel like it’s being quickly superseded. I can’t justify an Arc (feel I’d be better getting a Sub of somekind before I went to an Arc if I was spending that kind of money). I know the general consensus with the Beam Gen 1 was that the Playbar was still markedly better, but is that still the case with the Gen 2?
We have had the playbar for a few years. We wanted more surround sound so we purchased the Move hoping they would group together. I've searched and watched numerous videos thinking I was missing something. I thought the set up would be a "no brainer" ...easy, but after trying for over 3 hrs, I'm frustrated thinking we wasted money on this speaker hoping it would do something it's not capable of.On the Sonos app both speakers are listed when I click on -group. I get a message that I need 2 or more rooms???? They are both on the same network. Playbar is connected to TV. We use a Firestick. Any suggestions, please help.
I have recently upgraded from the beam to the beam gen 2. Setup is the same on the same TV however now the sound is behind the picture. Pausing the video helps for a bit. Anyone have a similar experience?
Hi - on my Sonos page on the app currently my music service is Spotify. I’m changing to Apple is there a way to change the default? I can’t seem to find an option within the App. Probably missing something basic! thanks
Just want to check my understanding….As I understand it, there currently isn’t a trade in programme is there? It’s simply a straight forward 15% discount (if you register that you might want to upgrade) - you don’t actually trade your device in or send it off, and it’s not bricked any more? Is that correct? So if you register 1 device, or register 5 devices, you’ll get 15% of anything you order - so pointless registering more than one device?and, once you have registered your devices for upgrade, you can’t cancel it can you? I might have accidentally registered, not appreciating that there was no way back… I just wanted to see the prices and options!
HiSetting up two rooms and grateful for your thoughts on best set up, not sure I have the right set up (too much / too little speakers) feel free to give your thoughts, however sofa/tv placement can’t be changed. Room 1 - A mini cinema room left side of pic (see below) with approx 55 inch TV which will be used dailybeam 2 + amp + 2 SL speakers Arc + amp + 2 SL speakers In wall with amp In ceiling with ampRoom 2 - A larger formal lounge but with a smaller TV area (right side of pic) which will be used less. As TV is not centered am I right in thinking corner SL not required and 2 ceiling speakers are sufficient?Or would it just be simpler to scrap ceiling and to just have an Arc/beam with amp? Also is wall/ceiling is superior than a soundbar + speakers or does wall/ceiling still require SL speaker to compliment it?Is it necessary to always have an amp with beam/arc/wall/ceiling (sorry if that’s silly question)? Is it possible for a SL speaker to be paired into more than 1 group e.g. I
I have had no problem with Sonos until I updated my mac to Big Sur. I like to play the music continuously and adjust it at the speakers----lower, higher, no sound. Now Sonos drops for no reason, then I have to go to my computer and restart. I usually play Pandora. Any help out there?
Hi allI just got my new sonos amp connected to my in wall speakers, and I’m having trouble getting a connection from my TV. I have it set up on my Samsung Frame 2019 via sonos optical adapter (eARC not supported with this TV model). I have gotten confirmation from the sonos amp that my TV is setup and heard a confirmation sound that the sonos amp is connected to TV. However, when I play the TV, I have no sound coming from it. I installed Netflix directly on the tv not through Apple TV to test outside of Apple TV, and no sound from sonos. To be clear, the speakers works and I stream audio from my phone to them successfully. The Apple TV is connected to HDMI 1 and sonos amp on optical input.Any ideas why I'm not hearing anything from my sonos amp connected to my TV?Thanks for your help! Looking forward to having this working.
This problem seems to have started after my Windows 11 intstallation. When the controller is opened on my pc at first everything is displayed as normal but once my mouse cursor starts moving over different tabs (like Select a Music Source/Sonos Favorites or Select a Music Source/Sonos Radio or the FILE, EDIT, MANAGE, HELP tabs...acually everything displayed on the Sonos Controller!) they disappear. They then reappear when my cursor moves over them but then after a bit completely disappear and I have to restart the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and also ran as Administrator to no avail. Any help on remedying this annoying problem?
Sonos recently announced 24bit audio output for Amazon Music on some devices…Does the Connect (The one compatible with S2) can output 24bit audio through optical ?Any idea ? Thanks, Denis
