I live in an apartment that has 2 built in ceiling speakers in the living room that are hard-wired to a sonos connect amp (which is in the closet where the wiring for the ceiling speakers runs to). I also have a 3rd party Denon receiver powering 2 Klipsch tower speakers (both setup in my living room). My Denon receiver is connected to my TV, so the sound output from the tv currently goes through my Klipsch speakers. My goal is to connect my Denon receiver/Klipsch speakers to the existing sonos system and use the ceiling speakers (which are already connected sonos) as surround sound. From what I’ve read online, it sounds like I may be able to accomplish that by connecting a Sonos Port to my Denon receiver in the living room. If I buy the Sonos Port and connect it to the receiver in my living room, will I be able to use both my Klipsch speakers + ceiling speakers at the same time? My Denon receiver is connected to my TV via optical cord, so if I connect a Sonos Port to my Denon receive
I have a gen 1 Sonos connect amp that is just blinking off and on white every 10 seconds; 10 seconds off 4 seconds on. Any help or anyone else experience this? Thanks for any help!
All my Sonos devices but a Play1 are in storage since we are moving.I initially connected the Play1 wireless at the airbnb we were at to the wireless network just fine, but it was intermittent due to a weak signal so tried to connect to the other available network but could not.I got a wireless extender for a stronger signal, but I am still unable to move it to another primary wireless network or to an extended wireless network, or even to the original wireless network.I can run fine only if I plug the Play1 into the enet port on the wireless extender. If I use Sonos2 to ‘Manage Networks/Update Networks’ and say YES when asked to add a trusted network, then hit ‘Find System’ I am prompted again to make sure all products are powered on and to ‘Find System’ again, but nothing is ever found. Is there any other way to change the old wireless network to a new wireless network? Even if I set the S2 app to the old wireless network it no longer works. Since I only have the one Play1 at present,
I will be cancelling my subscription to Spotify and want to switch all my playlists that were set up with Spotify to Apple Music. How do I get a list of the songs currently using Spotify?
Hi there, I'v searched n searched and can't find this anywhere, so just querying. Im using a full Sonos setup Arc 2xSL and a sub with my Xbox, it sounds great. I noticed the other day the Dolby app states that settings are not available for home theatre in the Dolby app itself. Is this just an override and we just use the EQ settings in the S2 app? Many thanks in advance. 🙃
As a SONOS Theatre System owner/user, I am very glad and relieved to share that the long waited 14.10 patch had solved my Surround Speakers and Double Subs dropping out issue. I had been tested it for one day by changing between PS5, Netflix and Broadcast TV and the connection stays strong without a single dropout till this point. This is something commendable. Also, quite a no. of users and myself included feel that the surround speakers sound better and more pronounce after deploying the 14.10 patch which is a great bonus to the fix.At the same time, I would also like to inform that I am so glad not to follow SONOS tech support staff’s instructions to meddle with my WiFi network settings because it has nothing to do with my dropout issue. Who knows the repercussion of modifying the network has to my other IoT devices. Importantly, the dropout resolved itself automatically after the 14.10 patch has been installed and the performance has been great so far. My customer feedback to SONOS
Hi, I have. Sonos Arc with Sonos One surrounds connected to a LG OLED C2 TV. I get loss of audio intermittently when fast forwarding through adverts on recorded TV programmes and movies. When I switch off HDMI-CEC or eARC the sound returns.Anybody else having this issue, and have you got a solution?
Hi all , I'm curious about this , I have my beam 2 and TV connected via arc , been working fine , last night whilst watching TV I turned on in TV settings Earc , carried on being ok but this morning when I turned the TV on there was no sound from the beam , turned off Earc and sound came out of the beam , I only have sky+ hd and I know earc is not needed for mine but just curious as of why it might do that , thanks
I have a pair of play 3’s set up as stereo pair in a separate room. I want to reconfigure them as surround sound speakers in conjunction with my playbar/sub pair. Not sure how to do this…
I am building a new home. I am not looking for a high end theater set up. Attached is my floor plan. I plan to use a soundbar, sub-woofer, and 2 ceiling speakers for TV viewing. Note TV is in the corner. I would use two ceiling speakers which are in marked in red with an amp. It is my understanding the ceiling speakers should be behind the seating area. Does that seem accurate? My second option would be to add two more speakers (blue) and play only music through the whole room with 4 speakers. The room measures 26’8” x 20’6”. Can I have the blue speakers off for the TV and all 4 on for music. Can I accomplish this with one amp? Thanks.
How many generations of the Sonos 5 are there? Is there a big difference between Play 5 and Five?
I am remodeling a back patio and installing 4 ceiling speakers and a TV. With the sonos amp will I be able to stream music to the ceiling speakers and have the TV on minus audio through the tv? How easy is it to switch back to TV audio through the ceiling speakers? Thanks for the help.
Can the Ray be stereo paired with another Sonos speaker (ie a Move)?
I just updated the Microsoft Windows SONOS S2 V14.8 app to V14.10. When I open the app it has “The Queue is empty” with a spinning globe above it. The Help About screen is blank. The update installed without reporting any issues. Has anyone else experienced this issue? UPDATE:I disabled my Norton 360 Smart Firewall. I then launched the S2 SONOS app. The app responds immediately without the empty queue message. The app Help about reports all information. I then closed the SONOS app. I enabled the Norton 360 Smart Firewall. Launched the SONOS V2 app and everything is now working.
We have been using the Arc in surround setup for quite a long while, but recently we have been experiencing problems that it echo’s at times. It is very sporadic. But the two back speakers (Ones) are slightly out of sync. It always happens when watching TV, but today for the first time also happened playing music. The solution for it is to basically to turn the arc off and on (i.e. pull the power and reconnect it). Then it all works perfectly again… sometimes for a few weeks, sometimes for a few days. The Arc itself is connected wired and the two Ones and the Sub are connected through Wifi. We have a Boost.Anyone have any experience with this and perhaps know a solution? I’ve not changes any settings. I’ve played with the lip sych setting when it happens, but that seems unrelated.
We’ve purchased the Sonos architectural in ceiling speakers and amp. Is it possible to place the amp inside a cabinet with correct wiring obviously? Wondering if this will affect performance or temperature. Thanks in advance for the advice.
Hey GuysDo you know if is possible to have in my living room a 5.2 setup? arc doing center Chanel and atmos2 Sonos 5 - Front left and Front right2 Ones SL - Surrounds And 2 subs Thanks guys
Hello everyone, I plan setting up 5.1 with 1 arc, 1amp with 4 passive speakers “2 fronts and 2 backs”, and 1 sub. Is it possible to do this set up?
How to play sound from Samsung phone (e.g. YouTube app or Netflix app) on Sonos Ray?
Hello all, my Playbar (and system) on S1 is still going great. We mainly stream Netflix etc over in built TV or Nvidia Shield Pro (even YouTube in 5.1).There's a few films I'd like to own in 4k and this comes with the DTS conundrum so for me a Blueray player that downmixes to 5.1 is acceptable. So that brings me to the Samsung M9500. Anyone on here still use one and is it.a decent player?, they goo for a big premium ove the K8500 (still UHD).Thanks for any comments.
If I search for music on Spotify, not through Sonos, I have many options of songs and music I don’t get when I search using same names but using Spotify in Sonos.
I know this question has been asked before but there doesn't seem to be a fix and it's the one major issue that will make me return the Sonos Amp. I'm using Google pixel 3a with android 12 and can't get the volume controls to work when the screen is locked. Tried everything the articles suggested. Not sure if it's an android issue or Sonos but Sonos should consider adding small remotes for volume and play/pause. Can be a wifi remote not IR necessary so no need for added complexities and components. This will reduce dependence on iOS and Android.
Hello. I placed an order June 6 for a Move in white. The order status still shows preparing to ship with no backorder date. What is the current expected delivery time? Thanks.
Looks like you can have more than 500 deezer playlists on Sonos now. True?
Sonos wake up alarm no longer plays radio station. Deleted alarm. Reset alarm. St to NPR. Still plays chimes!
