Hi,I suppose that after the streaming from app is stopped the Ray will go after a while in standby mode or I’m wrong?Thank you!
Hello all,About two days ago, I asked a question about adding existing ceiling speakers to my current set up (Beam2, Sub Mini & 2 Play One). I have been advised not to.I still want to use these ceiling speakers (independently of current Home theatre set up) as one of ceiling speaker is in a different room and it’s a pity not using it:)The cheap option I am looking at is to get the ZP100 as an amp for these speakers.1st question (maybe a bit stupid): As ZP100 is quite old, do I need to connect it to my broadband via ethernet cable? or using Sonos bridge? or will it connect automatically to my wifi as any other recent Sonos product?2nd question: Is it ok to have my current home theatre set up on S2...and these ceiling speakers on S1?As I said, I have no intention (anymore) to group these speakers with my other Sonos products… I just want to use them because they are already there :)Many thanks guys
I want a small back speake to fill in the sound from my soundstage and will connect to my network easily !
I am interesting in upgrading my Sonos One speakers. Trying to determine if I should purchase 2x ERA 100's and a sub mini or 2 ERA 300's for an open concept room aprox 620 sq ft. Dolby Atmos is not a priority at the moment
Hi, my setup is: HDFury Vrroom, Panasonic UB820, Sonos Arc, Epson Projector. The settings on UB820, under “Digital Audio Out”: 1) Dolby: bitstream, 2) DTS: bitstream or PCM (same result), 3) Secondary Audio: Off or Auto. When I play DTS-HD bluray, I get no sound. On the Sonos S2 App, it says “silent 7.1”. If I switch the Secondary Audio (on UB820) to ON, I get DTS Surround 5.1. However, if I play Dolby Atmos bluray, I only get Dolby Digital 5.1, and no Dolby Atmos. I can only get Dolby Atmos, if I set the “Secondary Audio” to Off.Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Spotify offers podcasts, but I can’t find any in Sonos apps (iPad and android). Am I missing something ?
I miss the ability to control my sonos volume using my iPhones volume buttons. Is the Sonos App dev team working on making this work again? This was very useful.
Will lossless be avialable using Apple Music/S2 app on March 28th or just Dolby Atmos Moderator note: We updated this article in October 2023 with new information below.Lossless music from Apple Music isn't currently supported on Sonos from the Sonos app or the Apple Music mobile app.Sonos currently supports streaming hi-res audio from Amazon Music Unlimited (which streams up to 24-bit, 192 kHz). In order to listen to hi-res audio from Amazon Music on Sonos (which Amazon calls “Ultra HD”), you’ll need to sign up for Amazon Music Unlimited. (Note: when streaming on Sonos, the maximum sample rate is 48 kHz.)You can stream spatial audio from Apple Music to Sonos speakers that support the format. Here are some more information regarding lossless and Atmos music:The Beginner’s Guide to Hi-Res Audio The Beginner’s Guide to Spatial Audio Listen to Dolby Atmos Music on Sonos
I’m working on a large system for a customer. 95% of the system is all in one large space. We have a mix of subs, Play:5, Fives, Era 300s, and and Arc. Everything that has a network jack is plugged into the network. The network itself is Comcast>Sophos>10 gig Netgear core>Unifi Switch > access points and remote switches. By remote switches I mean several 8-12 port switches throughout that are connected back to the Unifi switch. We are experiencing latency in using the app to pair zones, change music, navigate etc. Also, our players are randomly dropping offline. Here is the network map. Normally I only deal with Ports as sources so this one is a bit out of my usual expertise.
Hi we are making our kitchen bigger and want to install Sonos cealing speakers and need to know cealing placement and how many to install it’s outlined in red it would be just for music. And then the room outlined in blue is a bar room wanted seperate amp and speakers for that one also and would would like same advice. Thank you for any help it’s appreciated.
Setup my first Sonos system in our bedroom. It’s not overly large, but a pretty sizeable space: 17.5’ x 19.3’.I started out with 2 Era 100s as a stereo pair + a Sub Mini. Ran Trueplay and put the system through its paces. My initial reaction: Color me impressed. Solid, full range sound, even at extremely low volumes for nighttime listening. The Eras have impressive imaging and presence in the room, and pair exceptionally well with the Sub Mini. They lack a little bit on the high end, so I applied a +2 Treble to extend the highs a bit before they roll off. I was particularly surprised at the smooth, uniform output from the Sub Mini, even with it being corner-loaded. It’s not going to win any awards in the 25Hz SPL category, but musically, I could not ask for more from such a small sub.Given that I never want to leave a question unanswered, I recently took advantage of the sale on the Sub Gen 3 and ordered one to A/B compare against the Sub Mini. The Sub was placed in the exact same l
I am very new to REAL audio, and with all honesty, if I had not been able to shop at the base exchange, I may never have even found them. After I went home, thought about it, and did a little research, I decided to purchase the Move 2. I was shocked by the clarity and little bit of boom this speaker could give. I looked at my TCL (nothing wrong with them, but it was a Black Friday deal), sound bar, and sub I used to listen to music and decided I am tired of distorted jams…. I needed more… (put on sunglasses)Papa Roach, Pink Floyd, Garth Brooks, 2 Pac, Bone Thugs and Harmony Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Kenny G on and on… I listen to it all, and I like to listen to it loud, and now that I work from home, I do not have to wear the awesome but annoying at times headphones I always did… But I did what I always do: get excited and started looking and ordered two items from Sonos and thought I may have made a mistake… Or my own justification to buy even more and have an awesome surround
Hi there,I have 7 pre existing ceiling speakers spread out through my upstairs floor. 2 in a screened room. 2 in kitchen. 2 in living room. 1 in master bathroom. Each are has wall mounted volume control with all 7 speakers feeding to a receiver in the living room. I’m interested in connecting through Sonos but unsure what unit or units I would need to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone, I am finishing up the last details to open a gym. I have seen similar topic but would still like your feedback. The gym comprises:- A small reception / coffee bar which is 14 m2- A weight lifting area which is 150 m2- A spinning area which is 35 m2- A multi funcional room which is 65 m2- A corridor leading to the changing room which is 25m2Both spinning an multi functional would have their own system as we need to equip the instructors with mics. However the weight lifting, reception and corridor should have the same content with different sound level. I hoped that the Sonos ERA 100 or 300 would create their own network to connect together and that would have been my first choice but it seems like they are not compatible with the Wired Sonos setup. What would you recommend in that case? Note, the gym is located in A small town in south America with unreliable internet… Best regards, Pierre
I have recently moved to an samsung android device. On my apple device it was easy to delete songs in a playlist. How do you delete a song from a playlist on an android device?
HiSonos newbie here. I currently have a traditional 5.1 set up. Denon receiver, needs to be replaced running Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers, including towers in the front. Wife never liked the look of the towers.Moving into a new home, and to simplify some things, wiring the rears will be a pain because of the layout, I am looking at a Sonos bar to start, and add a sub and rears at a later time. The living room is about 19.5 feet by about 14.5 feet. The television will sit along one of the 14.5 foot walls, and seating will be at the other end of the room. The television is a Sony X80L 65”.My question is this, will the Beam Gen 2 work in this space. I am not worried about Atmos right now, and would like to add a sub and maybe some old Ones or 100’s in time. Or would a previous version bar work, I see some great deals on Facebook Marketplace.Mostly used for streaming content, shows, occasional movies. Thanks in advance.
Se podría conectar mi Sonos one a una android tv or escuchar la tv por el altavoz Sonos!?
How do I get these to work? No matter what i do I can not get any luck. No luck with being a Sunday and customer service being closed
Planning a Sonos home theatre set-up (not music) and I’m considering two different solutions:4.1 SurroundSonos amp with Elac dbr62 stereo speakers (which I already own and use for music) Sonos Sub Mini Sonos One/Play:1 as rears7.1.4 Spatial audioSonos Arc Sonos Sub Mini Sonos Era 100 as rearsI’m looking to compare performance not cost as I can get both set-ups at similar prices. Specifically I’m interested about these tradeoffs:Centre channel: virtual vs real Soundstage: narrow with smaller drivers vs wide with larger ones Obviously I’d rather have spatial audio capabilities but I wouldn’t compromise sound quality from the front channels for it.Can’t test both set-ups before committing so I’d like to hear if someone has experience with both set-ups or similar ones. Thanks!
Ok so my setup has several network SONOS AMPs and speakers throughout the house. i also have Samsung TVs I’d like to have the TV’s playing the videos Spotify delivers while audio is provided by the Amps. I’m I just too far ahead in terms of what’s possible?
I have dropped my Sonos ERA 300 to the floor and the back cover has fractured, I want to know two things, are there any tool or program that I can try to know if this hit cause problems of the sound? and do you know sopport service in latin america?
I’d like to get a speaker that I can use to play music and that also connects to our projector for movie night. It’s worth noting that the projector is the primary TV in the home. It’d be tricky to put a soundbar in the front of the room, as it wouldn’t be anywhere near the projector. However, we could trivially use a line-in to connect the projector to an Era 300 (or other speaker) on a nearby table. My thought is that the speaker will lend itself well enough for both TV/movies and music - we’d simply connect the line to watch a movie. Is this notion ill-conceived? I would also consider a Play5, though I suspect that the 300 is better suited for this dual purpose. I’m also unsure about how well this would work if we expanded down the line - for example if we paired two Era 300s and/or maybe a sub later, all using the line-in from one 300 as input. Seems like something that might introduce lag? At a minimum it’s not eArc, and I imagine that will introduce some loss.Worth noting that we
Per the Sonos app, I was informed of the Voice capability of the Sonos Roam but could not find instructions on how to implement it. Thoughts?
Hi guys, are you able to add the Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3 speakers to an AV Receiver?I have an Onkyo TX-NR626 which seems to have a lot of functions. I am not looking to simply use the Sonos app via the amp, my objective is to use the Sonos Arc Soundbar as centre speaker and the Sub Gen 3 as a Subwoofer as surround speakers with the AV Onkyo amp instead of buying traditional Speakers.Thanks,Kens.
Hey folks, I’m currently planning out the setup for our new yoga/fitness studio and hope to get some feed back from you. Status QuoThe room is quite big, 10m x 10m, with 3,70m ceilings. Only one pillar in the middle. RequirementMost of the classes will be quite with ambient music only, but some of them will be HIIT-bodyweight workouts. Therefore it should be a louder to motivate them, so a little bit of power is needed. ThoughtsI was thinking of putting Fives in every corner at almost max height, vertical, facing down. Even duh I’m using UniFi AP Pro in the main room, I’m thinking of going ethernet to each Five. The Sub can be placed in the center back or on the sides in the back. On the picture you can see the yogamats facing QuestionsIs this even enough? Do I need more? Another Sub? Shall I put some Era100 in the middle of the room on the pillar facing outwards? Do we need more Subs? Am I using the wrong products completly? Floorplan Thank you very much in advance!
