A music video, whether on YouTube or another video medium, sounds better with energy and punch than if I listen to it on Spotify.does sonos apply different equalization for video and another one for music streaming?I enjoy more when I listen to the songs from a video because they are heard with more energy and more punch and it is unfortunate how the music is heard from the bar if I use music that I have on my cell phone or from Spotify, my Sonos Five sounds better the music from Spotify that my Sono arc.Can Sonos improve this on the Sonos arc?

Hi, Im new at SONOS, so Im looking for your advice. Right now, Im bulding a TV room in which I want to have these SONOS products, or at least know if I need them, but anyway I need some advice.I would like to have an Arc Soundbar under my TV, next will be the Sub (Gen 3), also Im looking to get the In-Ceiling Speakers by Sonos and Sonance, all of these for the inside, and for the outside the Outdoor Speakers by Sonos and Sonance.My main question is: do I need just one Amp, or two? Also, will these speakers sound together? Can I just play the inside speakers, and not the outsides, or the other way, just outside and not inside?

Hi there,I used to have 5.1.2 setup with Sonos arc and two play 1’s, but since I moved recently, the play 1’s aren’t really an option anymore. So I was wondering a few things.1. Is it possible to use Sonos Arc + Sub alongside a Sonos Amp + two in-ceiling speakers, and use the in-ceiling speakers as left/right behind the couch in my home theatre setup?2. Is it possible to have the same amp connected to another pair of in-ceiling or wall speakers for instance in the living room, and while running a movie on the home theatre sound setup, to be playing music on these? Hello all, I'm looking at replacing our Playbar (5.1 setup) before Autumn as we do have a fair few Movie nights.I've been looking at the Sony HT-A7000 soundbar as well as the ARC.Cost wise, obviously the ARC wins but I'd be interested if anyone has tried both and what they thought?.The HT-A7000 with sub and surrounds is a fair wack £ wise but looking to get a good 6+ years out of either (like our Playbar).Will Play:1s and a 1st Generation Sonos Sub connect to the ARC?.I know it's an odd question to ask on a Sonos forum but interested in hearung from anyone who's tried both systems.

I bought 2 Sonons ones for my home.  Did not realize they would not work with Bluetooth. I want my tv sound to come out of my Sonos one speakers.  If i buy a Sonos Ray will I be able to connect that to my wifi Sonos one speakers?

I have been taking my Play1’s with me on vacation for 6 years and hooking it up to the local WiFi. This year they installed community WiFi guest network. With the way Sonos works with Guest Networks its not possible to connect. After doing some research I was able to get past the Guest Wifi limitation with a laptop and a router. The laptop will be used to connect to the Guest Network. The router will be used to connect your Sonos speakers. What you need to do is to create a Bridge Connection in the Internet settings between the WiFi and the Ethernet port on your laptop. Very straight forward. Search Network Bridge Connection on Google. This will turn your Ethernet port from a incoming port to outgoing port and allow the the Guest Network connection to be share through the Ethernet port. Once its setup login into the Guest Network on your laptop and connect the Ethernet Port to the router and setup your Sonos speakers as normal. Best part is the router can be used for all your wireless

Hello Sonos,  I love the new app and how it works, but there is one thing that would be really good, is if you have 5.1 setup and you set music playback to full, that you are able to change bass, treble and sub only for music playback. That would be great and would give you the ability to setup the sound for music.  kind regards, Rob

Hi all, I recently got an Arc and paired it with a pair of Ones in my living room. I can get 5.1 when using Netflix or Apple TV+ from my Amazon fire stick. However when I connect an external hard drive to play downloaded movies I can only get PCM stereo. My TV is a 65 inch Xiaomi 4X.  Is there anyway to get 5.1 when playing movies off an external hard drive?it’s the same story with my PS5 - can’t seem to get 5.1 no matter what I try.  I guess it’s possible it’s my tv and maybe I’ll invest in a Fury Arcana.  

Hi,I’ve read a number of posts here and pages on the Sonos site but I would love help confirming I’m understanding all of this.  I currently have two Play 1 speakers. If I buy a turntable with a phono preamp built in, and a Sonos Port, I should be able to use those to play vinyl through my current Play 1 speakers, correct? Do I need any other hardware, besides cabling, to make that work?

I have in my collection a FIVE & One speaker. I decided it would be nice to upgrade my aging sound bar for a Sonos beam with the view for surround sound. Well i am right in thinking because since have the Beam the other 2 speakers will not connect because they are the not the same model. A little disappointed to say the least that i was unaware of this prior to purchase. My understanding was that all Sonos product's were compatible. 

Hi,I’ve got a QNAP TVS-671 where I have one folder which holds my audiobooks and music in 4 sub folders. I link those 4 folders using the Sonos controller app from my laptop. The laptop is connected to the network with an ethernet cable. There are a bunch of Sonos Play 1 and a Sonos Playbar in the network.So under “Music Library” → Folders  I see 4 folders one of them is “music”.One day I see that in the music library the music folder has no entries and “No selections are available” is shown. As I had this issue I called support and they asked me to use a different folder and so I created a new one and moved all my files step by step over to a new folder. It took me 3 days to go through all the indexing and finally I had it working. Then I made some changes to a few files, about 30 of them and in the next morning I see that the whole index is gone. “No selections are available” was again shown in the music folder of the music library - no errors in the controller (Help → Errors Log) -

Hi I am newbie to sonos family. I have a lg oled tv. And i have recently purchase -sonos arc for lcrsonos subsonos amp with two klipsch ceiling speakers 1. Can i setup my ceiling speakers as surround to be used with TV? how to do this? Will there be a lag in surround speakers if it is connected to arc wirelessly? if i play music in my living room, will arc and sub and speakers play together and work perfectly? Or by setting them as surround i cant enjoy the music? someone mentioned to me sonos sub isnt compatible with ceiling speakers even if connected via sonos amp. Whats the practical implication of this if this is correct? If i am okay always playing arc and sub and amp together, am i really losing out on something?thanks a lot  

Hi, I have a Sonos Arc which has been situated above an ethanol fireplace (i.e. not as much heat as regular or gas fire) and I’m curious to know please:1 - heat tolerance of Sonos Arc? Are there any guidelines? 2 - from the picture, does this seem like an appropriate distance?3 - are there any solutions you can suggest if necessary? Thanks  

I have a whole home Sonos system including two mobile players:  One Move and one Roam.  I use Sonos’s own charging bases to charge both of them. The Move seems to recharge relatively quickly but the Roam seems to take FOREVER to recharge while it’s on its base.  Case in point: Today I put the Roam on its charging base when it was reporting a battery level of 23%.  Two and a half hours later it is reporting 70% battery level.  Is this working as intended? (The charger is plugged directly into a mains outlet using the Sonos supplied adapter).

I have a TV that has only a digital output for audio (other than the speakers on the TV).  I’d like to use a Bluetooth adapter in that digital output to connect to my Sonos Move speaker.  I’ve read that connecting Sonos to a TV via Bluetooth is not possible, but wondering if anyone has suggestions.

Hello everyone,I have an Arc, two SL and a Sub. I can play Atmos without problems, or at least in the Sonos App it says so. The problem is that I can't appreciate the sound or Atmos effect.I have Arc placed in front of the TV and there is nothing above it. The volume of the height speakers is at maximum. I play movies with the AppleTV App and the Sonos App shows that it is playing Dolby Atmos. But nothing, I don't appreciate gunshots, rain, or helicopters above my head :)What am I doing wrong? Is Atmos with Arc really appreciated?I would appreciate any suggestion.Greetings. Apologies for the English used in this post ;) I have used Google Translate.

Hi all and happy Saturday!  We just bought a Fire Cube so that we could upgrade our Fire Stick with an ethernet connection (a lot of latency and issues streaming).  We had a Fire Stick and just set up the Cube, porting over settings from Fire Stick and using same HDMI port.  When trying to connect our Sonos Beam, it sees it but we can’t get the sound to work.  We have an older TV (Sharp Aquos from, like, the stone ages … 2011-ish).  Any ideas?  We’ve tried all the suggestions on the Sonos, Amazon and Reddit but haven’t seemed to find the solution.  Thank you!  

Hi, I am planning to buy a new ARC. However, a little bit concerned that after my  purchase in a few months time whether Sonos will introduce a new arc in the market. So really confused whether to buy it now or wait for few more months. Kindly advise. 

HI guys I just bought x2 Sonos Fives for my TurnTable which has a preamp built in.I chose to pair both as stereo - works great with Streaming services however with my turntable the speaker thats playing wireless sounds really terrible. Almost like its blown. How do i fix this so it plays correctly? I also need to know how to change its name as I chose “Family room” which is the same spot my Sonos arc is in and have to choose which the right one is by guessing.

I want to connect a CD jukebox to play throughout my home. I currently have (second-get) Sonos amp, two pairs of “Fives,” a Beam connected to two Fives, a Beam connected to two Play-Ones, two freestanding Play Ones, and another Sound Bar. A sonos Amp, which serves as the internet input for the whole system, plays out to two Klipsch speakers. Can i connect a CD jukebox to the amp and then play through the entire house?Many thanks.

Received a Sonos Roam as a birthday present to add to my seven existing speakers. And then the Hell began.I bought all of my speakers after 2017, but the three 5s are apparently bricks. (Although Sonos sometimes says that 2 of my 5s and both of my 3s are incompatible).I also had not realised that new Sonos products aren’t backwards compatible. Fool me.So I tried to set up two networks, but installing Sonos 2 totally broke my Sonos 1 network so that I can do nothing with it. I can’t even play any music.So I am left with a Roam going back to the shop and a totally broken network where I cannot use any of my existing products since they need ‘upgrades’ but the upgrades fail. I’ve decided to take everything to the tip, which is where Sonos products belong.What a company!
