I set up my 3rd ERA 100 a few weeks ago. Set up went as planned, the Era 100 was found and linked to my Wi-Fi and after unplugging and plugging it back in, it showed up int Sonos App. After about 2 weeks it disappeared from the App and I tried several times to get it back...including resetting it at original location I set it up and also in the same room where I keep my Wi-Fi router. Every time I reset the ERA was found by the App, I got the chime, it connected to my Wi-FI...but under no circumstances could I get it to show up as part of the Sonos System that shows in the App. But the kicker is that it shows up when I use Apple Airplay on my phone, iPad or IMAC. The Airplay list of devices lists my other 2 Era 100 speakers by named room and the 3rd now just at “Unnamed Room”...and it works perfectly fine using Airplay. I guess my question is simple...the ERA 100 is certainly working and connected to my W-Fi, why won’t it show up in the Sonos App?
HelloAs the title suggests I want to discuss the so-called “Known Issue” answer many say they receive when contacting Sonos Tech Support. Before we can discuss it let’s get a better understanding of the phrase. The quotes are not referenced by a link as you can search the web for “Known Issue” an obtain an abundance of hits. A few I found that I believe relevant to this post are:A "Known Issue" is an identified problem or issue with system functionality.I personally dislike the above as it takes the term problem and issue and literally meshes them into one. I much more prefer the following…An issue is much softer than a problem and has a readily recognizable solution. Mostly an issue bears only a slight impact, and causes personal annoyance. A problem is life altering, temporarily or permanently. They can cause others to be affected. A "problem" is something bad that you have to deal with.OK…granted the above primarily deals with the human side of things versus tech. However, I believe
Ever since I moved house and now have virgin and at the same time went over to S2 I now have this message. I now have s2 products so going back to s2 isn't an option. I think my bridge wouid solve it but you cant have that with s2. My sonos move seems fine, but my lounge set up (bar, sub, 2 x sl one) alwasy comes up as unabke to connect to sonos when earlier innthe day it was connected. On the rare occasion is does connect (after I've gone through disconnecting and connecting as if all of my products are new), it is VERY slow to obey commands or instructions and often doesn't obey them at all I.e. volume up, next song..basically everything. Annoying as I've been a customer for over 10 years. Any help gratefully appreciated.
Hello, I have a problem with my Sonos One gen 2. After a power outage, my Sonos refuses to connect to the Wi-Fi network (eternet too...). I want to do a hard reset. By staying pressed on the synchronization button and plugging in the socket but it always flashes white, never orange. I tried on my second and no problem. Is there another solution?
Hi all, To be more energy efficient I would like to use a remote wall outlet so I can cut the power with a Bluetooth remote. Can this repeatedly damage the Sonos speaker? There is no is energy save option for this type of speaker. cheers, Denis
I have purchased the pair of stands for the era 300 speakers. Upon assembly one of the poles seems to have manufacturing issues, as the screw holding either the base or the speaker will not screw into the hole, I assume the thread is faulty. I have tried and tried to the point I am worried about damaging one of the product, but I can not assemble the stand. anyone else had this issue or progressed a replacement part order with Sonos?
I require a female optical receptor/converter to the HDMI/Arc input on my sonos soundbar. Is such a device available?
will the subwoofer that is compatible with playbase work with Arc Soundbar
What is the difference between SONOS ONE SL (black) and the SONOS One SL Shadow Edition? Are they virtually identical except for the slight colour modification?
Merci. GOFIT
Why does my Sonos speaker (normal sized one - one I believe. ) no longer work when I play Spotify. As soon as adverts start it turns off all music and I cannot hear adverts or music. Also Spotify alarms no longer work I used to wake up daily to a playlist and no I just hear a horrible chime and get earache or it ignores all alarms set.The other issues I won’t go in eg. Connecting multiple speakers on sonos app. Ever since sonos 2 app came along it doesn’t work. Some speakers have to be one the s1 app (black icon) and some on the s2 app (gold icon). Can’t get on s2 app due to old speakers and new speakers. Reported via Spotify and Sonos and still no solution 18 months later
About 2-3 weeks ago, I noticed that my Era 300, which is set up in my home office as a single speaker for music, no longer appeared in my app. My other speakers and home theater and Amp were all fine and were still there. I power cycled the 300, and it showed back up in the app, and later that day it was gone again. I thought there must be a network issue, but I was still able to give it voice commands (Alexa and Hey Sonos both) and it would play. It’s also still playable through the Spotify app and Alexa routines with the speaker still work fine. What could be going on here?
This is just for info if you have problems resetting your Play 1.Had to reset my 2 X Play 1.According to Sonos' instructions, you had to press play/pause down when connecting the power cable. After that it started flashing white, then white and orange and then it should flash green after some time and then they should be reset.(They have previously been connected to wifi and part of my surround set) Mine would never flash green, they just flashed white and orange forever. Therefore, I could not connect them again. And believe me I've tried everything :) Found the solution on this page through a lot of searching. Connect your Play 1 with a network cable to your router, power on your Play 1 while holding down play/pause, wait until it flashes orange and then you can release.. After approx. 2min it flashed green. Now I removed the power cable and internet cable and placed it where I wanted.Connected my Play 1 to power, after 1min they flashed green and then could add them to my system via
I have a Sony PS-LX310BT turntable that I was using connecting via bluetooth to my old bose speakers. They worked really well - I recently bought Sonos ERA 300 and I am unable to pair them via bluetooth. I have the latest firmware update on sonos.I hear the chime on era 300 with blinking blue light then I click on bluetooth pairing button on lp player but nothing happens even after waiting for 5 mins. Similar process worked when I paired my bose speaker.Let me know if I am missing something? I understand that I can pair them using sonos line in adapter. My understanding is I can still use bluetooth connectivity without any additional adapter to pair my turntable.
The issue: If you use a pair 300's as surrounds with your ARC in my case, you will not be able to use a second pair as a stereo/atmos pair in a different room with the new update. (worked before). You will start to get 'cannot connect' errors when selecting and deselecting speakers for whole house playback. You notice audio cutouts in the rears with your ARC and music. You may lose your subs even though they are connected in the app. No atmos in rooms with arc + 300 rears in one room and 300 pair in another room when both are selected.I factory reset all my speakers, rebooted my firewall, modem and Access Point, Same problems,I put the media room all on ethernet except of course the 300's, Same problems.Level 1 SupportSonos support level 1 tried but ultimally ssful ok'ed me to go to level 2Level 2 Support:I decided not to call and do more testingMy Testing:I factory reset all my speakers, rebooted my firewall, modem and Access Point, Same problems,I put the media room all on ethernet e
Hello! For my modest sound system, I have a stereo pair of Sonos One SL. I’d like to make it able to work with Bluetooth in order to connect it easily to my computer or my Steam Deck. I heard one way of doing so would be to use another Sonos Bluetooth speaker like the Sonos Roam, but could not find any info about it online. Thus my precise questions are:Is it possible to group a Sonos Roam (or another not too expensive Bluetooth speaker) with a pair of Sonos One SL? Will this whole new sound system be able to receive Bluetooth signal? Will it impact the sound experience in a negative way? I’d still like the two Sonos One SL to act as a stereo pair.Thank you for reading, have a nice day!
Hi,I was wondering if anyone can help. I play a 40hz pure sine wave through my Sonos sub at night to mask infrasound that I can hear. It works well when the audio file plays properly. However, it has started to 'pulse' for some reason. I also get a message flashing up on the screen of my phone saying that it's unable to play the file as it's not encoded properly but then then the message disappears quickly. I'm wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this. Could it be due to a weak WiFi signal? Would a Sonos Bridge help? My sub and Play 5 speaker are 8 years old so not sure if they would be compatible. The Loudness is off on the sub, I have increased Sub Audio to 6 and the overall system volume is at 3, so very low (just enough to mask the infrasound). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Is sonos capable of working with a sonos amp, sonos soundbar, sonos sub and wired outdoor speakers?
Hello, I am wanting to get a sonos setup. The house is wired for speakers and outside. I'd like to get a sonos soundbar and sub along with using an amp for the wired outdoor speakers. Is this possible?
My set up is (was) Arc, Sub, 2 One SLs for surround. 1 of the One’s completely stopped working, not even getting power (swapped power cords and still nothing). Of course I’ve had it 14 months so it’s out of warranty. So now i have 1 working One SL and Sonos doesn’t sell them anymore to replace the broken one. Would pairing a new Era with my old One work ok for surround? Not crazy about spending so much money to replace both One’s barely a year after spending the money on the original purchase. 12 month warranty is pretty pitiful for such expensive items.
I have two Sonos systems: (i) one in a completely detached house, with high-speed internet (1gig download / 16 upload) consisting of two Play 1s and two Sonos Roams, 1 gateway router, and 1 additional hardwired router, and a Beacon; and (ii) a second system in a city apartment also with high speed internet (300mbps / 17 upload) consisting of 1 Sonos Beam, 2 Play One SL, one Roam, 1 gateway router, 2 additional hard-wired routers. All of the residence were professionally wired, and not DIY. In each case -- 5 years plus in the apartment, and 1 year plus in the house -- one or more speakers regularly lose connection without any discernible pattern, and Roams seems to totally disconnect from the system after a few days of non use.TO ME, CLEARLY, ONE OR MORE OF SONOS SOFTWARE, FIRMWARE, OR APP IS FAULY AND CONTINUES TO BE FAULTY. I have a very demanding job and do not have additional hours to spend on the phone with Sonos Technical support...and so, I live with the frustration of the freque
To the Engineers @ Sonos, Its been more than two years as some of us are impatiently waiting for a solution to set up Two fives and Two subs on Stereo mode. Currently home theatre is the available option for adding a second subwoofer. But please note that I am a music enthusiast and prefer to listen to music in stereo mode. Unfortunately the pair of Five with one Sub is not capable to produce amble bass in my large room. Can you please please provide a solution to this. My neighbour use a Bose lifestyle 650 series where it allows adding a second subwoofer and the bass it produces is great on a stereo mode and we both have identical apartment size. Appreciate if you please reconsider giving the option of adding a second subwoofer on a stereo set up. Thanks
how do I transfer my move and Play1 speakers to a S2 controller
Hi ... my ~10year old zonebridge died, so I cannot connect to my Play:3 anymore. Haven't purchased anything from Sonos in a long time, so I have no idea what my options are to connect to my Play:3 wirelessly. What do you recommend? (The Play:3 is not near my router, so connecting via ethernet isn't an option) Thanks!
Bonjour, mon sonos plat 5 génération 1, ne ce met pas pus tension le câble et ok et Je n’arrive pas à le réinitialiser. Que dois-je faire
