The issue: If you use a pair 300's as surrounds with your ARC in my case, you will not be able to use a second pair as a stereo/atmos pair in a different room with the new update. (worked before). You will start to get 'cannot connect' errors when selecting and deselecting speakers for whole house playback. You notice audio cutouts in the rears with your ARC and music. You may lose your subs even though they are connected in the app. No atmos in rooms with arc + 300 rears in one room and 300 pair in another room when both are selected.I factory reset all my speakers, rebooted my firewall, modem and Access Point, Same problems,I put the media room all on ethernet except of course the 300's, Same problems.Level 1 SupportSonos support level 1 tried but ultimally ssful ok'ed me to go to level 2Level 2 Support:I decided not to call and do more testingMy Testing:I factory reset all my speakers, rebooted my firewall, modem and Access Point, Same problems,I put the media room all on ethernet e
Hello! For my modest sound system, I have a stereo pair of Sonos One SL. I’d like to make it able to work with Bluetooth in order to connect it easily to my computer or my Steam Deck. I heard one way of doing so would be to use another Sonos Bluetooth speaker like the Sonos Roam, but could not find any info about it online. Thus my precise questions are:Is it possible to group a Sonos Roam (or another not too expensive Bluetooth speaker) with a pair of Sonos One SL? Will this whole new sound system be able to receive Bluetooth signal? Will it impact the sound experience in a negative way? I’d still like the two Sonos One SL to act as a stereo pair.Thank you for reading, have a nice day!
Hi,I was wondering if anyone can help. I play a 40hz pure sine wave through my Sonos sub at night to mask infrasound that I can hear. It works well when the audio file plays properly. However, it has started to 'pulse' for some reason. I also get a message flashing up on the screen of my phone saying that it's unable to play the file as it's not encoded properly but then then the message disappears quickly. I'm wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this. Could it be due to a weak WiFi signal? Would a Sonos Bridge help? My sub and Play 5 speaker are 8 years old so not sure if they would be compatible. The Loudness is off on the sub, I have increased Sub Audio to 6 and the overall system volume is at 3, so very low (just enough to mask the infrasound). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Is sonos capable of working with a sonos amp, sonos soundbar, sonos sub and wired outdoor speakers?
Hello, I am wanting to get a sonos setup. The house is wired for speakers and outside. I'd like to get a sonos soundbar and sub along with using an amp for the wired outdoor speakers. Is this possible?
My set up is (was) Arc, Sub, 2 One SLs for surround. 1 of the One’s completely stopped working, not even getting power (swapped power cords and still nothing). Of course I’ve had it 14 months so it’s out of warranty. So now i have 1 working One SL and Sonos doesn’t sell them anymore to replace the broken one. Would pairing a new Era with my old One work ok for surround? Not crazy about spending so much money to replace both One’s barely a year after spending the money on the original purchase. 12 month warranty is pretty pitiful for such expensive items.
I have two Sonos systems: (i) one in a completely detached house, with high-speed internet (1gig download / 16 upload) consisting of two Play 1s and two Sonos Roams, 1 gateway router, and 1 additional hardwired router, and a Beacon; and (ii) a second system in a city apartment also with high speed internet (300mbps / 17 upload) consisting of 1 Sonos Beam, 2 Play One SL, one Roam, 1 gateway router, 2 additional hard-wired routers. All of the residence were professionally wired, and not DIY. In each case -- 5 years plus in the apartment, and 1 year plus in the house -- one or more speakers regularly lose connection without any discernible pattern, and Roams seems to totally disconnect from the system after a few days of non use.TO ME, CLEARLY, ONE OR MORE OF SONOS SOFTWARE, FIRMWARE, OR APP IS FAULY AND CONTINUES TO BE FAULTY. I have a very demanding job and do not have additional hours to spend on the phone with Sonos Technical support...and so, I live with the frustration of the freque
To the Engineers @ Sonos, Its been more than two years as some of us are impatiently waiting for a solution to set up Two fives and Two subs on Stereo mode. Currently home theatre is the available option for adding a second subwoofer. But please note that I am a music enthusiast and prefer to listen to music in stereo mode. Unfortunately the pair of Five with one Sub is not capable to produce amble bass in my large room. Can you please please provide a solution to this. My neighbour use a Bose lifestyle 650 series where it allows adding a second subwoofer and the bass it produces is great on a stereo mode and we both have identical apartment size. Appreciate if you please reconsider giving the option of adding a second subwoofer on a stereo set up. Thanks
how do I transfer my move and Play1 speakers to a S2 controller
Hi ... my ~10year old zonebridge died, so I cannot connect to my Play:3 anymore. Haven't purchased anything from Sonos in a long time, so I have no idea what my options are to connect to my Play:3 wirelessly. What do you recommend? (The Play:3 is not near my router, so connecting via ethernet isn't an option) Thanks!
Hi, Ive recently connected my record player to my two Sonos Ones (Stereo Pair) with a Sonos Connect:Gen 2, and I’ve had to leave it set to the max latency (2000ms), as when I set it any lower, I’m experiencing massive dropouts, with just one speaker at a time and then both etc. They're very close in the same room, and I’m wondering if I need to buy a sonos boost or hardwire one of the components, or if I’m missing something. The stereo pair have no issue with other inputs, but clearly the Connect is still transmitting as the dropout only happens on one side. Setting to 2000ms latency fixes, but this is really annoying as it’s such a massive delay from the turntable.
I have new access for my Wi-Fi and need to change how Sonos finds it
We have a new covered deck which 4 flush ceiling speakers were installed. The electrician ran a wire from each speaker to the basement where the Sonos Amp is located. Can I put two speakers on each Sonos banana clip or do I need 2 Sonos Amp to run all 4 since they each have their own wires leading to the basement?
Hi,I am getting deeper and deeper into the Sonos ecosystem. I now want a better speaker for stereo audio, and have decided on a pair of Era 300s.I was wondering what the best placement for the speakers would be. In the old hifi days, the speakers would be at the height you would be, in listening position, slightly toed in, x cm from the wall, x cm from the corner etc. I know trueplay is designed to compensate for poor placement, but if I start with the speakers as well placed as possible, there will be less work for trueplay to do, Thanks.
I have a two ones, a beam gen 1 and a move gen 1. would adding a connect gen 2 improve my sound quality?
My setup:LG 65” OLED (OLED65C3AUA.AUS) Sonos Arc SL No other devices plugged in to TV HDMI plugged in to port 2 in TV (e-arc/arc port) Audio output: “HDMI Arc” with so sound options available (all greyed out on TV)My problem: Sound will stop working after 20-30 minutes. Absoutely no input change, volume change, or app change. Sound goes from working perfectly to being silent. Very frustrating. I unplug/re-plug the power and the HDMI several times and then it works again. What I’ve tried: I bought a new, high-quality HDMI cable and the problem persists, so I am back to the Sonos-included cable. When the sound goes off, the Arc is still on, and the sound still works on the Arc (when I physcially presst he volume buttons in makes the thumping sound) and the led turns on. I have updated the firmware on both the TV and the Sonos, and I have checked the plug connections a million times. Anyways, this is a brand new tv and this is extremely frustrating. Please help. Thanks
I currently have a the large Gen 1 sub, a set sound bar, and a set of surrounds. I also have several bookshelf speaker though my home. I do have at least 1 Gen 3 product, the Era 100. I am wanting to add a sub mini to my system to place in another room. I know that you can add a second sub to a home theatre set up. That is not my goal. I just want more bass in another area of my home when I play something on all of speakers. Is this possible? Further more if I one day add another theater set up to my bedroom will I be all to the second sub for that?
I have a local network that has “smart connect”, meaning that the Wi-Fi SSID (and password) is the same for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. A device, if 5GHz-capable, will connect to the 5GHz Wi-Fi by default. The problem seems to be that my phone, which is 5GHz-capable, will always connect to the 5GHz network, with no option to alternatively select the 2.4Ghz network. When this happens, attempting to add a new Play:1 (2.4GHz only) using the Sonos Android app will hang and never complete, I am assuming, due to the fact that my phone is on the 5GHz network.Disabling “smart connect” and naming the 2.4GHz network differently than the 5GHz network so that I can explicitly connect to that radio will be too disruptive to my IoT devices and everything else in my home that uses Wi-Fi. I do not have access to a device with only a 2.4GHz radio that I can use to configure the speaker either.Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, when did this become so difficult, Sonos? Why can’t you make the a
I would like to install Era 300 speakers on the wall as high if possible. Question is what is the ideal distance from the ceiling the speaker should be installed to work properly. Also I was thinking of getting the outlet and putting the speakers (Sonos mount) right in front of the outlet so it covers the outlet. How have you installed? Is there another better way? I am thinking of installing an arc, two speaker combo and 3rd gen sub in movie media room. (17by18 room) And I am thinking two speakers for outside area where the bar, seating and game room is. What is the ideal distance from ceiling I should install? Will it be different for media room then open area. Please advice. Or pictures would help.
I set my Era 100 to 30% Autoplay Volume. When I start my Chromebox at night, it connects automatically, and the volume is set to 30%.On the next morning, I want to listen to (quiet) music when I’m working. I select a station and select the speaker (SONOS Büro); the volume is still at 30% (picture 1).I change the volume to 2% and click on “Play” (picture 2).The speaker starts playing, but on 30% (picture 3)! This can only be a bug. Please look into this, thank you very much! Picture 1Picture 2 Picture 3
To update a preexisting topic (because it is now closed to comments). There is an excellent utility program available which allows the synchronization of playlists between S1 & S2 Sonos systems... I have just installed this and for the first time in many years I have synchronicity! I am happy to recommend this very useful and quite intuitive to use little program. It does only run on PC's (not android) however.
Hi there. I just got 2 Ones and a sub Mini and when I stereo pair the ones, and then add the sub mini to the system, the music only plays out of 1 of the ones and not the sub either. But if I remove it all, the sub works perfectly with 1 one. I tried resetting everything to “start over” and I have the same problem. Any recommendations?
Is it possible to replace the power cable on a Play 5 Gen 2 ? The current cable is cracked. Thanks
