I have 2 sonos play 1 speakers that have both stopped working and I can't get them going again. In setting them up ...and failing...sonos has wanted to use a temporary WiFi setting instead of my own WiFi. Any advice? Do I need to reset them or restore factory settings
Hey everyone! I purchased Era 6 300s to replace my Play3s, I noticed when the sub is connected I have to raise the sub volume to 12 or 13 to simply hear it. also this is probably not the cleanest bass pushing it to its peak volume. With my Play3s the Sub was at 1 or 2 the sub was hitting harder. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have purchased a Sonos FIVE, and the mid-tone sounds are poor, the mid-range sound sounds like canned, off, any recommendations? The bass and treble are very good, but the sound is not hifi by any means, it is very far from it
I used to love Sonos. Now I only love their hardware… I have 5 older speakers (4xPlay:1 and 1xPlay:5) that are not compatible with the new S2 system - but I don’t care. After many, many problems caused by relentless Sonos “upgrading” - I now drive my speakers through the Home Assistant integration which is magnificent. It does everything I want, and doesn’t bug me with extras I don’t care about. Unfortunately, it still requires the Sonos app to add a speaker to the system before I can use it in Home Assistant. We just built an extension to the house and I wanted some more speakers in new areas. My investment in Sonos infrastructure was too great to move to another ecosystem. I was incorrectly advised by an Ikea salesperson, that their Sonos based Symphonisk range were S1 compatible - so I bought 3 of them. 2 x Bookshelf and 1 x Table Lamp. When I installed the first of the Bookshelf speakers shortly afterwards I discovered they were S2 only. I was very annoyed - but after some research s
Hello, I moved and am trying to setup my SL, it will not connect and keeps showing an error message. I have already tried: resetting to factory mode, restarted my SONOS app, unplugged and plugged back in and turned my wifi off and on.
I have updated my wifi and managed to get three of four SONOS speakers connected. The Play:5 will not connect to the new network.I have tried a factory reset, then adding it as a new product. My SONOS app recognizes the product and it appears as though it will successfully connect, but it will not connect to the “Play:5’s temporary network:SONOS-Awb… I get this error; “Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your Play:5.I have tried other mobile devices, with no luck. I also have tried using an ethernet cable, and it is undiscoverable.I have tried choosing the temporary wifi SONOS network within my wifi settings on my phone, with no luck (connected momentarily, then nothing). I have changed the network settings in the app. Still nothing.
What am I doing wrong. I can not set up my roam SL. How do I connect the device to my WiFi? I don’t see the option in the app without it finding my speaker device and yet I can’t see it in my Bluetooth screen or WiFi. How do I get the speaker to connect to my home WiFi system
need some help with an unresolved connection problem with one of my Sonos One units. My set up in my UK home is as follows:Lounge - all working fine- Sonos Beam 2: purchased in UK in 2023, connected to Google wi-fi router via ethernet cable- Sonos One x2: purchased in US in 2020, connected to Beam via Sonos network channel 6Bedroom - not working- Sonos One x1: purchased in US in 2020 … the Sonos s2 app can “see” the device but it can’t connect - wireless doesn’t work (either Sonos or Google network) I reached out to Sonos support but have not yet resolved the problem despite sending them a diagnostic via the app (have also rebooted my modem and router, reinstalled the app, and rebooted the One - no joy) Can anybody help me solved this issue ? ... maybe it’s network or firmware related but i’m not an expert. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated - thank you ! Kind regards, Will PS: the Bedroom One used to work 100% fine in our USA apartment wi-fi …. both Lounge One units
I'm having constant dropouts when playing music from Spotify or the Sonos app. It happens approximately once every 5 minutes, the music continues playing but the audio is cut for 10-15 sec. Tried everything but nothing can fix it.I have 2 Play: 5 gen 1 (one wireless and one wired) and 1 IKEA/Sonos Symfonisk (wired) connected to a TP-LINK Deco X60 mesh system.Diagnostics sent: ************ Moderator edit: removed & recorded diagnostic number
I have two Era 300s, that I have just setup as a stereo pair. When I attempt to play a record, using the line in into the right speaker, the sound keeps cutting in and out of the left speaker. Wired connections are solid from the preamp into the right speaker, and both have “good/excellent” wifi connections. Any ideas on solutions, or directions to existing threads on the same issue would be much appreciated!
How do I connect to someone else’s Sonos system
I have a Sonos Beam by my TV that always works and shows on the app. I have 4 Sonos One SLs that work but every few days they disappear from the app. I have tried unplugging, searching for the them when reconnecting. Restarting my router. I have followed all directions. it is now becoming so frustrating I want to throw them out. sometimes it will work and I will see “living Room, kitchen, bedroom, garage” appear so I can group together to play music. but every now and then they all disappear. Can anyone help? And yes I have tried unplugging them all together and doing individually. I have strong WiFi and never had an issue nor changed it.
I have several Sonos one speakers and 2 Era 100s. They were all working fine. I get a message that the Era speakers need an update and when I started the update I got Error Code 30. I called support and they say that the Era speakers will not communicate with my Spectrum router. But they used to work on this router until the update. I’m about ready to return the speakers. Any ideas on how to get them to work?
“Unable to connect to Sonos Lets fix it”Home wifi network is always up. Sonos every couple of weeks loses the network. Finds the devices then ask to reboot my home router. My Home router is working NO reason to reboot. I off/on speaker for 5 sec. So then app find multiple systems. “let’s confirm”. Find my Qty 2 era 100’s with Mac address. So far so good right? I have to rejoin the same network. “connecting’ takes minutes.”then time out. I do this 2 -3 times and it connects eventually. Speakers are in the same room as the router. Other devices in different rooms and floors are connected and stay connected. What is the deal with the Sonos Network?
I have a couple of Play 5’s in my media room. I want to add a soundbar and send the sound from the TV to the sound bar through the HDMI Arc cable. question, can the play 5’s be wirelessly grouped with the soundbar (such as the Arc) so sound will automatically come from all three speakers
I have a Sonos system that I bought a long time ago, but I Play 1, sub, bar and boost that I have enjoy using for a long time. My dad's friend gave me his old Play 3 that he haven't used for awhile. I tried to reset the Play 3 and add to my system but the Sonos app keeps giving me a warning that the app can't connect to the Play 3 and to contact customer service.I looked up YouTube videos and read that I need to factory reset the speaker than add it. I tried the methods by unplugging, holding down the "mute" button and then plug it back in and wait till the Led turns Amber then green.Well, the speaker LED turns Amber than flash white and the mute button flashes green. I never see the LED flash green. I also tried holding down the volume up + mute button and all I get is the Amber LED and a flashing white LED and flashing Green mute button. Still can't add the Play 3 to my system.Any suggestions?
Hvordan indstiller jeg mine SL højtalere til fabriksindstilling?
Sonos beam2 registered in Spain and English language was selected but emails are all sent in spanish. How do I receive my emails in English?
Hi, does anybody know if it's possible to purchase a replacement power cable for a Gen 1 Play 5? It appears that Sonos no longer supply them. Thanks
When I take a long vacation, I leave my Sonos speakers plugged in. Is that OK
I wrote to Sonos customer service and was told to start a thread because that was the only way to get a change implemented – getting the community to ask for it back. I was told that otherwise, nothing will change. Please bring back lock screen controls to iPhone. The sonos app is slow and has bad user experience, it requires way too many clicks for EVERY thing. Taking the ability to skip songs and change volume from my phone away makes this product a lot worse. Please upvote if you’re having the same issue, as that seems to be the only way someone MIGHT listen to the feedback.
I have just tried to add a Beam Gen2, unfortunately I have found I cannot add my Play1’s or play5 to the same system.in an endeavour to add at least the play1 (I have 3) onto the same system as the beam I disconnected the play5, I now cannot reconnect the play5 back onto my Sonos S1 system.please help.
After having connection issues I decided to re connect my system. An article I read suggested installing with the router 5ghz temporarily disabled. Did this and all fine, enabled it and instantly get the message that Sonos and phone need to be on same network.Message fix suggests updating network, I just don’t that to cause problems, if it’s the only way to go then ok.Short of disabling permanently the 5ghz what can anyone suggest? Router is a Virgin Hub5, I’m sure their is a fairly simple answer to this, please!
