Speakers

Following the recent update, when I turn my TV and Beam 2 on the app says I’m only receiving PCM 2, not Dolby plus etc.if I unplug the power and restart the Beam,  full Dolby sound is displayed.this issue was not present before the update to the app.I use a Sony Bravia tv from 2018 using Arc not eArc, plus Apple TV 4K and Manhattan t3r Freeview box.

i havent used my Play 5 for a coule of years.  Software updates are needed (not a surprise).  these seem to be taking longer than a permitted 30 minutes before the speaker resets with a message stating it took longer than. 30 mins to complete set-up since the device was connected.  how can I overcome this?

I really regret buying the Symfonisk Picture frame. I’m constantly having connection issues, every time I want to use it I have to unplug it and sometimes it works and  many times it doesn’t. I had to replace my router and it will no longer connect to the router, says the product can’t be found,  I’ve factory reset numerous times, when I hardwire it works but it’s not convenient. I donlt know why this product is so difficult…I have given up and call it a loss, an expensive one by the way.   

I have a sonos play 5 in one room, which connects to the app when I am nearby, but won't find my other two (bedroom and kitchen).When in the bedroom or kitchen both of these  are visible, but the play 5 isn't. Hence I can't group all three speakers any more. Very frustrating.Can anyone advise?Thanks 

Bought 2 Era 300’s last night to have friends over for sports games. Updated app and it disconnected everything. Nothing will work with new app. LOOPING on WiFi setting. Spent the last hour waiting for support. No solution, not even a coupon or anything. 

unable to register my second sonos one on my sonos account

Help needed🙏🙏🙏I had not used my speaker for a while so tried to set it up again recently. It is on the S2 software so the new app detects the speaker when starting the set up. I then connect to the local Sonos network and have to wait for a ‘chime’ to connect the speaker, however it never makes a noise. Pressing the play/ pause with the flashing light doesn’t work either🤨. I have tried a factory reset, but the speaker just flashes orange and never turns green. Also tried restarting speaker & router etc. Anyone have any ideas on this or experienced something similar😅 Thanks in advance. 

I’m tired with this set it up is so frustrating and waiting on line for assistance is hell I regret buying this is so stressful

Why is the latest update f... ing useless in every way? 

I have a Play 3 that I control through an android tablet. I play music shared from a pc acting as a media server connected through the app. The Sonos app upgraded yesterday and now the media server is not visible and I cannot see how you would even connect to it in the new app. Anyone got any ideas?

Is there a timeline of when the actual useful features will be restored?The three most useful features are missing:No Widget No connection to NAS*Very* Slow access . It seems very resource hungry and wants to load lots of background and images - is this necessary?

I cannot get audio to my 2 new Era 100 speakers from my LG TV through my existing Beam Gen 2 system.  The Era 100 speakers work fine when I use the Beam to play music using the Apple Music app.

My Sonos system continuously stops playing music for 10 seconds, then will start back up. I submitted a diagnostic and got this number: Does anyone know what could be happening?  Moderator edit: Diagnostics number removed, but recorded

HELP?!  i’m getting zero help from sonos support and on hold for hours when i call. suddenly after the new app, i can’t use my system at all.  i’ve unplugged all speakers, rebooted router --multiple times. all the tips i’ve read in posts, etc.  nothing is working.  i’m really sad and frustrated.what do you suggest?  thank you!

No sound from my gen3 sub 

HiI updated the sonos app on monday and now i cant Connect to My speaker systems. When i try to Connect i Get a message that says *Give sonos access to your local network* when the app directs me to the settings I have Already allowed local network for the Sonos app, but the message won’t go away.have anyone had similar problem or know a way around it??

I understand Sonos is currently sending the audio signal to speakers as digital signal over IP, before converting it to analogue, right?But why not sending it as analogue radio signal, much like radio, or those old wireless landline phones? This could reduce latency?I'm probably missing something, but just thought it'd be interesting to address this.

I’ve had a play 1 and 3’for around 10 years now, but lately they keep on loosing connection to the Wi-Fi. They have now dissapesres from the system and not recognised when I try to connect.I’ve also done a factory reset which hasn’t solved the problem.  any suggestions would be appreciated!

Dear all, I think the easiest way to get rid of the material which does not work to the extend brauche of the now missing feature , is to sell it back to Sonos for the entire price you paid, plus the time you wasted in setting it up etc.is here a lawyer in this community who could think of filing this is the US?thx Marc 

i have 2 recently acquired sonos arc's and mini subs to setup in 2 different living rooms. 1st room arc and sub connection no problem. 2nd room arc connected but could not locate sub. I swapped rooms for both subs and now neither can be found by the app. can anyone please help? thanks in advance.

Only one of my 2 one SL will connect when I try to connect the second one it is stuck on getting your Sonos one SL ready

I have 6 Sonos zones through my house with 12 different Sonos products. This latest app update makes me want to throw out all of them. I’m the past, if I’m listening to something on one set of speakers, or a group, and I choose a new song to listen to, the app was smart enough to continue to use those same speakers.  Now every time I choose something new to listen to, it plays it in my Basement first until I can change it. Then it’s super slow to change. Why did you change this behavior? If someone’s listening to music on one set of speakers, just keep using that set of speakers until they choose something else. There’s no reason to always default to the first one in the list of rooms in alphabetical order. 

Really struggling with getting my Sonos back and running. im getting a software update issue within the S2. saying an update is required in order for devices to work properly.  But then it also says I’m not the system owner with the product I have had for a couple years.
