I just transitioned from Klipsch to SONOS in Dec 23. I was getting familiar with my ARC - until the update hit.Why would SONOS ever roll back the ability for its users to sync their personal music libraries? It was one of the qualifiers for me to even consider SONOS. Looks like I have to wait for an update now. Where are the “agile methodologies” at SONOS with waiting until essential integrations are ready before pushing out an update??? It’s simple common sense to frustrated consumers/users. Knew I hung on to my Klipsch Heresy II speakers and wireless sub for a reason. They still sound amazing after 39 years and NEVER had a tech or software issue with them!
Mit freundlichen GrüßenB.W.Hello Sonos fans, how is it possible that the current Sonos apps for Windows (Sonos_79.1-53290) and for iPhone (80.02.04) are once again faulty and unusable? Previously, the Windows app (Sonos_79.0-52294) and the iPhone app (80.01.11) at least worked in their basic functions.Best regards, B.W
Since the app update, I can only add one surround sound speaker to my Sonos Beam can you tell me why this is?
I’ve got 4 Ones and a Beam around my apartment. We moved recently and I got 3 Ones and the Beam connected to the network and each other, working perfectly. When I placed my remaining One it wouldn’t connect to the network or set up at all. I kept getting a message after going through set up that it needed registering but wouldn’t register. After a series of app updates, speaker updates, and forced factory resets it connected and played music. The issue is that this speaker only works independently of the system. I can’t connect this One to the system if it’s playing music or if I try to connect it by starting music with another speaker the app says unable to connect. Any ideas?
I’m on IOS 17.5.1 and on the latest app Sonos has and every time I enter the correct room settings it automatically changes to and I quote “Sonos Room” within 24 hours. it’s only connected to Apple Music and not on HomeKit but Google home which states it’s in my living room as per what I want it to be in. I still have to change and it’s so frustrating please advise?
Hi,I have a pair of Sonos 5’s and other Sonos speakers and Home theatre set up. I mainly use my fives for listing to music. However, as many already know playing lossless audios through Apple Airplay isn’t possible with Sonos. Fiio have released the SR11 and i was wondering if this would actually work due to the Sonos Fives having a built in DAC? Would the internal DAC just down grade the Lossless input from the SR11 to lossy as its connecting to the Sonos 5’s via Airplay? https://www.fiio.com/sr11
I need help connecting a play three to a new system. Nothing on the instructions gives me any help whatsoever.
Hi,I’ve recently moved to a new property and I’m trying to set my Sonos Play:1 back up. When I plug the speaker directly into my hub by Ethernet cable, I am able to connect and play music. However, I am unable to find the product when I try to update the network settings. As soon as I unplug the speaker and move it rooms, it doesn’t work, as expected. Does anybody have a solution for this? I’ve tried using the Sonos 1 controller app but it keeps chucking me onto the newer app (S2 OS). Cheers!

I find it strange that I wake up one morning and find my sonos system down, the S1 app suddenly can find any of my speakers all gen1.After many failed attempts of resetting etc sometimes the app would see the speakers other times not. On the times it did it always failed to connect. Now use the new app hey bingo everything is there, I could up date the play ones to use the new app. My Play 5s however whilst can be seen, they are not compatible.I kind of remember they tried to brick these before, looks like they may have done it now. Well sonos as the rest of sonos products give up. I promise you the replacements will not be Sonos. Ben
Hi Sonos Community,I am seeking support and help regarding an issue with my two Symfonisk speakers. I have had them working perfectly in my Wi-Fi network for several years. Recently, I changed my Wi-Fi to a whole new network, and now I’m encountering a problem with one of the speakers.Issue Details: • Speakers: Two Symfonisk speakers • Wi-Fi Change: Moved to a new network • Current Status: • One speaker is connecting and working perfectly fine on the new Wi-Fi. • The other speaker is not connecting via Wi-Fi at all. • Attempts to Fix: • Using an Ethernet cable, the problematic speaker connects and works fine. However, it stops working as soon as I unplug the Ethernet cable. • I have reset the speaker to its original factory settings, but this did not resolve the issue. • Additional Context: • The issue started after the recent Sonos app update a couple of weeks ago. • The problem is unique to only one of the two speakers
I bought a Sonos Era 100 today. It won't play Apple Music.Skip every song. All my other Sonos devices play Apple music without problems. Only the Era 100 does not. Should I return the device?https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/1d3m8dn/new_era_100s_issues_with_apple_music_working/
After recent update I can't play anything on my Sonos One. I connected and updated the WiFi and network, but it still did not solve the problem. Any advice what needs to be done?
Hi, i have a sonos sl and sonos roam and - for the love of god and after too many attempts - cannot connect them to the app. I always get through the setup process but they then dont appear as devices - even if I follow the instructions to unplug. anyone? I might otherwise be inclined to throw them out of the window..
New Sonos app keeps dropping out and doesn’t pick up speakers
The app was working perfectly fine before the update, I work at a retail company so I play music at work all the time. Just recently as soon as I get home when I go to the app there is nothing there like I have nothing created or no speakers. Says i have to join system but still won’t connect anything unless I uninstall and reinstall the app. This is getting really annoying, I’m not trying to do that all the time. My coworker also is have the same issue unfortunately. We both love Sonos a lot but this is getting really annoying please fix it.
I’ve had trouble getting things set up and making sure my Play:3 devices work on my current Sonos network. I have them working now, connected by ethernet, and I’m using the current control app on my Mac and my iPhone. I’ve been testing them and when I hit “Play” on my phone or Mac, it can take 4-6 seconds (it seems to vary) before the music starts playing. When I hit Pause, there’s still a delay, but it doesn’t seem to be as long as when I hit Play.Once I make sure these are working properly, I’d like to put them into a home theater grouping with a Playbar and Sub. (Right now I have a One and One SL in there. I want to remove them so I can use them with AirPlay in other rooms and put the Play:3s in that room in place of the newer speakers.) I’m thinking if I’m going to use these in a theater setup, a delay will either keep them out of sync with the other speakers, or may cause other problems. What can I do about this delay? (I have looked at this page, but I don’t see a way to get to So
I can’t get my sub to work
Hi — ever since the app update, my entire Sonos system is very unreliable and keeps cutting out. I’ve got 1 Amp and 6 SL One speakers. The most frustrating thing is that my Amp (which is hardwired via Ethernet) keeps cutting out the most of all my products. I had no issues with the Amp connectivity all before the app update, if anything it was the One speakers that would sometimes cut out. I have a TP Link 3-router mesh system in my apartment, so it’s seems unbelievable to me that I don’t have a very reliable connection here. For example, I was just playing some music on my system, and the Amp cut out a bunch of times until it completely stopped playing any music and it hasn’t come back on, even though it says it’s still playing in the app. The SL’s cut out too now, but it’s not as bad as the Amp.Without the ability to change the SonosNet channel, I have no clue how to make this better. I never had this issue before updating the app. Any suggestions? Thank you!
I used to use Sonos frequently (daily, for many years), but over the past 4 years or so, have been more and more frustrated and have gone through long periods without directly using the system because when I’d start to use it, I’d have to fix things first. That happened today with a Play:1.I have several Play:1 devices in my system, which spans 2 buildings, each building with a different wifi network. Today I just wanted to play what was on my iPhone through my Play:1 while taking a break on my porch. But this Play:1 didn’t show up on my Airplay list. Some of my other Sonos devices did, including some One SL devices.I tend to prefer to use ethernet for devices that don’t move around and the Play:1 was on ethernet, but that’s part of the same LAN my wifi covers. So I tried to enable wifi and the new app showed that wifi wasn’t working. I tried to update the network name and password, but there was no way, on the phone app, to update that information.I went to my Mac and ran my Sonos app
Sonos sure add computer speakers with the subwoofer sound like 5.1
