Unable to add new play 5

Just purchased a Play 5 and Era 300.

Era 300 added and updated flewlesly witin minutes.

The app sees the Play 5. And wants to update, but I am unable to. Have tried resetting, restarting, stripping naked, praying, and Allé other tricks in the book. It’s downloading update for 1,5 hours and den error 1014. Makes no sense. Start over. No luck for 2 days.

Is it the new app?

Or is it somthing else?

Is this the Play 5 Gen 2 or Gen 1? The Gen 1 cannot be added to the S2 (new) app. It's a S1 device.

 If it's the Gen 2 Play Five, try resetting it, and connecting it to your main router to do the update.

It is gen 2. Have reset 5 times or more. Have tried connected wired and wifi. Will not update.

I think that continual Factory Reset of the PLAY:5 is a waste of time. Resetting the controller may help.

Other things to try: Temporarily power down the ERA 300. Update using the desktop controller.

I can not Update. Nothing helps.

I see it. But there is an update. Wires to router or wifi i can not update.
