I have a pair of sonance outdoor speakers connected to a Sonos amp. I just added a second pair of the sonance speakers to the same amp. When I play music, I only get sound from the new speakers I added. I disconnected the new speakers and only have the original pair connected and they are no longer playing music. Any ideas?
I went through the set up process of adding a new speaker (the first button in the app to add a speaker) the arc from Costco. It connects and then says at the end it may not appear in the system settings and to unplug and replying it in. That doesn’t work. I then clicked connect to existing system and it scans my WiFi connects to the system i set up but then says I need to do a software update (not iOS) to use the speaker. it takes me to a screen with start update, brings the pop up log in page and I try to sign in. I do (even though I’m signed into the app already) and then it crashes I try again and immediately crashes without letting me type like the first time. Then says to sign in as the system owner but there is no log in now. I can only exit this loop by reinstalling the app or restarting my phone but then it just repeats itself over again. I think this might be a new app issue as I’ve heard the new Sonos app update sucks from a UI perspective
I bought two move 2 speakers and one mini sub. The seller didn't know how to tell you that these unfortunate systems don't work together. I'm returning all the crappy gimmicks. This is the last time I will buy your products. I thought you were a quality brand.
Audio drops in and out (lowering volume then back where it was at) after an hour or so of playing device. Drops increasingly closer as time pases. First maybe every 5 minutes then seconds into each other.Submitted a diagnostics for this issue. I dont know if this issue could be heat related (34c where Im at) or equipment showing its age. Have not had this issue until a couple of days ago. thanks.*Moderator Note: Diagnostic number removed*
Hi I have suffered for a decade with your software. I have an almost 20 speaker investment and have wasted 100s of hours trying to get your product to work consistently as advertised.WHEN WILL YOU GET YOUR SOFTWARE STABLE!!!!!!
I have a 13 speaker system. Switching songs is an issue with the speakers staying connected. They never come on all at once. They pop in and out of play. Its a long process to get them to come on all at once. What is my issue?
After the latest app update (the one with the redesign), my Sonos roam was deleted from the list of speakers. I tried re-adding it, and it will not register. I have tried deleting and redownloading the app, factory resetting the Sonos roam, rebooting the router (mesh system), factory resetting the router, rebooting my phone (iOS). The app sees the Roam but says I will have to try registering later. The WiFi is flawless and all other devices in the house work fine. The roam worked fine the morning of the app update, so that appears to be the only change.
I have read the supposed fixes for the incredibly annoying issue with the Sonos Arc sounding going in and out. It seems the only so-called fix is unplugging everything?!!!? Since I did that and it keeps happening again a few weeks or months later am I to just keep unplugging EVERYTHING each time? Is this company serious? There must be a better fix or a class action lawsuit to get them to replace and or fix the issue completely?
I’m not heavily invested in the Sonos ecosystem (owner of a single Roam), but I’m looking to extend my home audio setup and have been considering a couple of Era 100s. The app debacle has me very worried though. I even trialled an Apple Homepod for a week, but the experience with that was not good. I don’t think Bose, Bluesound or other systems mentioned here are viable options either for a variety of reasons, so I’m still looking at the Eras.Anyway, my greatest concern is that Sonos is flogging a dead horse with the updates to its new app. My biggest worry is its slowness, which absolutely destroys the user experience. An app this slow at launch makes me think that the underlying software architecture is badly flawed. I was a software developer for 40 years and occasionally heard an adage about developing systems: “first make it work, then make it fast”, which always riled me because the making it fast part never happens. Speed and responsiveness have to be designed in on day z
My turntable is connected to an Era 100 via line-in. Since the latest update the autoplay function has stopped working, and my other speakers won’t play music from that source. I’ve spoken to customer support and they have no idea what the issue is.WTF is going on here? I though the latest update was supposed to improve things...
when i connect Audible to my sonos system it turns the volume of all affected speakers to max(100)i have only seen this behavior with audible, Tidal doesn’t seem to experience this issue
I have several Ikea SYMFONISKs. Until a week ago I had a fiber optic connection. Now I am getting ready for VanLife and would like to take some Ikea Symfonisk (Sonos) with me.I already have two iPhones (one with data connection) the other I use as a pad with the Sonos app.Now I have tried to set up my new system, everything works until I am asked for WiFi password and to select the network which I don't see. Actually it worked once (I manually entered the network name) but then it asked me to update Symfonisk and something went wrong and I had to start over, but this time I can't enter the network password anymore. any useful advice ?
this morning my sonos app will not upload any of my services (apple music, soundcloud ect) Has there been a new update?
I have 3 speakers. A one and two plays. One of the plays has disappeared from the app. I’ve been on chat and was advised to perform factory reset. Which I’ve done and now I’m trying to add it again. It just says connecting. Has done for about 15 mins
Moderator Edit: Google Translate- I had 2 controllers (s1 and s2) on my phone. The s1 for a play 5(gen1) and the s2 for the rest. After the last update my s2 (yellow) turned black and my play 5 no longer works. How do I get it working again?
I have a Play 1 which is connected to the Ethernet and was working ok yesterday but have orange flashing light today. Any suggestions on how to resolve?BTW Its connected to the Ethernet as it keeps loosing the Wifi when unplugged and the connect to wifi is selected in setup
Since a week or two, my speakers have a green led after being inactive for a few hours. I have switched the status lights off in the settings, to no avail. Why are the lights on, and how do I turn them off?Esprcially in a bedroom at night, I don't want a green glow all over the walls and ceiling.
Before the update, Sonos worked just fine. Now, I need to restart my router, in order for Sonos to play streams from TuneIn or other radio. Otherwise I am getting the "Something went wrong" message.I shouldn't need to do this, but it looks like I have to. Why does it need a restart every day in order to work?
Hello, I had purchased a refurbished Era 300 from Sonos on 06/07/24. I have installed it with the Arc, Subwoofer g3, and another Era 300 (replacing my Ones) as surrounds. For some reason the speaker keeps flashing white and red. I have searched on numerous web forums and looked on YouTube but cannot find an answer to why this is happening. I have tried a hard reset on the speaker, taking the speaker off my system and adding on to it again several times, rebooting my WiFi but the same issue persists. Last night I played again with the system and found out the problem stopped when I turned off the microphone on the speaker. I noticed on the app the microphone was flashing on and off corresponding with the flashing lights on the speaker. I am getting sound from the speaker as it flashes. I am unsure if this is a hardware issue. I have no issues with my other Era 300.Please advise.
It started some weeks ago with a new router. Needed to reinstall from beginning. Really troublesom.tried tried and trie. Then suddenly!Installed the system this morning. Eberything looked well. Got radiostations, spotify and other things in the new app.went for s walk.came home. Start the app. No system. ”No system on your WiFi”Just now I am listening on the speaker. I can see that the Sonosspeaker is connected to the Wifi. But the app does not see it.Really tired of thie now!!
I have two Sonos five in one room. 1 got disconnected from my system due to lost electricity. now it’s only flashing with an white sign and is not reachable in any way. Connected a wire to the router but it hasn’t helped out. Tried to reset it through holding th button on the back while plugging the cable but without response. What should I do???
getting songs working
Despite having an updated system and a great internet connection, it's impossible to listen to an entire song on Spotify without it cutting out at least once... Even downloaded songs.
I need help. I bought 3 new Era 100 speakers for an office we just bought and can not get them to pair on either band of wifi. I’ve tried the delete app, reset speaker and all sorts of combos and nothing works. When I brought them home and tried to add them to my home system, they paired immediately and needed to do an update. I had read this could be a thing and then could work so we then took it back to the office, reset it, but it still failed to set up. Why is this not work? I have other devices like Wyze on the wifi no problem.
I have a problem with a single Sonos One (I have 10 sonos speakers in total)Issue experienced One of a paired of Sonos One speakers suddenly stopped working I factory reset it wirelessly and wired It gets as far as being seen in the App but then fails and says “The connection to your Sonos One was lost. Make sure Sonos One is powered on” The speaker is fully powered on during the whole process A second error says “Your Sonos One couldn't be set up. Unplug the power cord, plug it back in, and try again.” powered off and on - then nothing happens and the speaker is not seen in App I have also reset the Sonos App - still not worked.Anyone see this before - any ideasThanks
