How come we can no longer control volume for separate speakers once they are grouped? It has disappeared…a new or returning glitch with the latest app?
Sono i changed my router and then reconnected the Sonos. My app said that my Sonos was not detected and I needed to upgrade the app. I attempted this many times but the upgrade never completed. Now a new message appears saying that I need the Sonos 2 app which I cannot find anywhere on Apple Store. The only Sonos 2 apps I can find are pay for apps not by Sonos and I have noticed that there is also some strange disclaimer about using Sonos in conjunction with other apps. My Sonos has now been unfit for purpose for 2 months. My questions has anyone risolver this problem and has anyone set up a consumer litigation group to bring legal action. I am aware of precedent of a similar case with Audi
Sonos speakers really are bad, I’ve tried everything. Rebooted so many times the play button is wearing away. i have three play 1’s in our pub. All on the same WiFi. The WiFi’s not great but it does it’s job. i connect them all together and they work. WiFi goes off and it’s chaos with Sonos. Reboot them all again and start again. Now a common issue is one speaker will connect and play and the other two won’t. Or the two others work and the single speak won’t. So we have a very quiet room without music. They are all updated recently and rebooted. so what do I do now? I surely just need to replace these rubbish things?
My 18 month old Sonos One just stopped working. It will not power up. I have switched cable, plugged directly into outlet but still not powering up. It was working perfectly the day prior. Thoughts?
Is it normal to have just one entry in the devices list in the router app if I have multiple devices grouped into one? On Google/Nest WiFi I think I saw each show up as their own entry but I recently switched to TP-Link Deco and I am only seeing one IP address. All the speakers work, fyi.
What a terrible customer experience! I have changed router and wanted to connect two SL ones. After many days and hours I have not succeeded. Speakers have been resetted Sonos app have been updated. Sonos app have been deleted as installed again. I have read the instructions on how to connect to speakers, connecting to WiFi etc. When connecting a speaker to the system it pass through:Add productDetect sound codeAdd to local WiFi networkAnd I get the message: …. Is now a WiFi network your Sonos system trust. …however when selecting “done” the speaker doesn’t show and there is no connection. How can Sonos make such a terrible guide and yet the speaker is still not connected? What am I supposed to do here? Your help is much appreciated.
When I play the Sonos music app both my era300 and beam play fine, but when I try to play my tv the era 300 cuts in and out. Any ideas?
Hi,I can’t connect/add Spotify on the S1 app (both iOS and macOS). The option simple doesn’t exist. I have just set the system up (I’m listening on old speakers) and both speakers (play:5) does show up as devices in the Spotify app but won’t connect. I’ve tried removing Sonos from Spotify but still only let me connect with S2.Any ideas for how I’m going to get it fixed or add Spotify on the app. /P
How do you take it off of music and set it to pair with my Beam Gen 2. As I haven't figured it out. Beam works great hdmi connection. Need to have it set so both can play from the TV Any help is appreciated Thx skip
Hi eveyoneI've been having trouble setting up my Play 5 outside (after resetting it) and connecting it to my Sonos system. For some reason when I try to connect it keeps failing (iOS and latest app update) - so I walk it inside and connect it via Ethernet to register it. PROBLEM is, I think it’s then trying to connect to my Sonos Beam (7 brick walls away) on Sonos Net…..instead I want it to connect to my TpLink mesh access point which is literally 2meters from where I have it setup outside. How can I disable SonosNet and force the Play 5 to just simply connect to the Mesh Wifi Access point? I feel like the new app is substandard and doesn’t give the diagnostic information I need (eg WM:0 etc or how it’s connected). My hypothesis that the Play 5 is on SonosNet is my TPLINK shows it connected via Ethernet. Plz Help!
I got a pair of the Era 100’s, and I’m quite disappointed by the bass extension. It is noticeably worse than the Sonos One. I did a nearfield measurement on them and it confirmed what I heard. The brown curve is the Era 100 and the green curve is the One. This is measured with no bass boost, no loudness, and at very low volumes to not trigger the limiter. The -3dB point on the Era 100 is at 50Hz when the -3dB point on the One is at 40Hz. In the video below from Sonos’s own YouTube channel, Sonos claims “a 25% larger woofer increases bass extension, while the volume is turned up, delivering a much deeper low end than the Sonos One” (timestamp 0:48). This is clearly not true. The Era 100 clearly has less bass extension than the Sonos One. To make sure I didn’t have a defective speaker, I even measured 3 different Era 100’s, the response is identical. This is measured on a MacBook Pro with Room EQ Wizard using a cross spectrum calibrated UMIK-1 microphone, placed 1mm away from the speake
Hi. Just moved house and wanting to set up Sonos 1. However getting error message saying can’t connect to your account…?
I am currently listening to a station and the ballgame because sonis won’t turn off. I can’t reach Sonos customer service because they don’t care. At least crowdstrike gave customers $10 for ruining their lives.
I have 2 Sonos speakers and would never recommend this product to anyone. You need to go elsewhere! I constantly have connection problems, and Sonos Support takes hours to assist. This is a terrible product!!!
I have two Sonos Play 1’s bought in 2017 and rarely used. I like the look of the speakers which are stylish and discrete. They were set up on my wifi in England and I thought I would use them more in my house in France. I stream Apple music from my ipad. However, the wifi network in France is not great as we have 500mm thick stone walls between the router and the sitting room - which is where I want to use the speakers as a connected pair. I have lost the will to live whilst trying to get them onto the French wifi network and am thinking that I will upgrade to Era 100s using the 15% upgrade discount. These speakers are advertised as offering Bluetooth connectivity. However, my blood ran cold when I saw that you need to set them up initially using wifi!!!I now have two questions before I buy:Will the speakers work as a pair when connecting via Bluetooth?if so,Could I set them up on my English wifi and stream from my Ipad there and then bring them to France to continue to connect
So I have spent HOURS on calls with Sonos support, and with HP Aruba to try to fix issues that were down to a badly tested app?I’ve even bought a new network to replace ArubaI’ve lost all my Sonos favourites, and playlists built over many yearsMy speakers either won’t connect or won’t react to controlThe desktop controller app (Mac) is now in an endless update loop WHAT A MESS! And now we get some half baked apology and statements about fixing some issues over THREE MONTHS What are the best alternatives to Sonos? Where is everyone going to go to?
HiAny help or advice would be greatly appreciated. On top of the app upgrade debacle which has wreaked havoc on my SONOS system, I have now upgraded my internet package to full fibre (UK), so I am switching from a regular router from British Telecom to an ONT and router from another UK ISP.Due to Wi-Fi issues in my house, I have decided to move to a mesh system and have purchased the TP-link Deco X75 Pro 3 pack (it is overkill, but it was a great deal and hopefully future-proofs things for my network). I have not installed the Deco routers yet.My current SONOS set up is a Beam (gen 2) hard wired to a 5 port switch which is then wired to the router. The Beam is connected to an LG C2 Oled TV, which also has an Apple TV 4K connected but using Wi-Fi.I have an Era 100 in the next room along with a BT Complete Wi-Fi disc.In the room next to that I have a SONOS One.Upstairs, I have a SONOS One and an Era 100.My local music is currently stored and accessed on a Synology NAS (but not since the
I have factory reset my Sonos One to connect it to a new WiFi network. I have connected it to the new WiFi network, added Amazon music and Global player. I have also added Alexa voice assistant. When I ask Alexa to play Amazon music or a Global player radio station, Alexa says it’s going to play but no audio plays. Can someone advise what to do?
New Sonos user here. Boxes arrived yesterday! My plan was to install 2 in-wall architectural speakers and 2 ceiling speakers on the same amp. Then connect my TV to that amp with the HDMI ARC. My thought was that this gives me a surround feel when watching TV (playing all 4 when on) and ability to play music on these 4 speakers if not using the TV. I’ve read I should have 2 amps using this setup (one for in-wall and one for ceiling “rears”) but why? Can I do what I’m planning? No soundbar or sub needed/wanted.. the soundbar is just not desired even though I know that plus a sub would be ideal. Thanks for the help!
Hola, ¿puedo conectar 2 era 100 a mi amplificador análogo Yamaha 5.1 ? Agradezco respuesta.
I have assigned IPs to each speaker and they connected for 1 day. This morning I opened the app only to find “no products found”. In system settings it tells me to “update network “ which finds both speakers, connects to the WiFi, only to revert back to “no products found. I did this routine 3 times and still have no music. What is wrong with this scenario?
Sometimes after a Sonos update (such as the current one that’s available now) you may see in System Settings that a component is not connected. The warning may appear even though there was no “Update Failed” screen at the end. Unless you can readily identify the room containing the component discovery may be a PITA 😂Sonos suggests following the steps in this link. Those steps can appear a bit daunting at times. Especially, if you have several Sonos components of the same type. Here are some steps you can try that are less time consuming and may yield quicker results:Wait a few minutes to see if the component(s) reappears and the warning goes away Close the Sonos app and Reopen It Stop the Sonos app and Restart it _iPhone users click here / Android users click here Start a music stream to the room via Spotify, Apple Music, SirusXM or other service to awaken the component If none of the above resolve the issue then follow the steps suggested by Sonos in the link above * * Never Factor
No connection at all this am to any room or devices #quiet house #sonos junk FIX IT!
I know the update was terrible and buggy and everything that is bad about software development, but I think the fidelity of the sound has improved… or am I going insane?
I swapped internet provider and can’t update my Sonos one tried reset and plugging into Ethernet cable ?
