If I’m playing say on my laptop or iPhone through my headphones on Spotify then I change to one of my Sonos products then no sound comes out and the song is still playing through the timer. Only if I rewind the bar to the start of the song will it start playing. Very annoying

What happens if you pause the music on Spotify before Airplaying to the Sonos? (i.e. pause music, press Airplay to speaker, then press play on Spotify?)
That works.
I should have mentioned previously that this used to work but doesn’t anymore. Is there a fix to get it working without the pause?
Maybe the mods will note this on the list of things to look at...
But presumably now the speakers need to be told “I’m playing something” via the use of the play button, whereas previously they would just notice someone had thrown music to them.
Incidentally, it isn’t always Sonos at fault. I wonder if rebooting your phone might also do something to Airplay that improves/reinitiates the handshake between Spotify and the Sonos speakers…?
