Along with or Instead of the current charging base option that is all one connected piece. The Sonos Move should have an extra option for purchase that receives power via USB type C and an accompanying 45 watt USB-C PD charging block (as they recommend, also preferably detachable form the cord). Type C to Type C cord preferably for future proofing. This would help stream line the product as it can be charged via the USB type C when being transported or use on the go. This was almost a deal breaker for me when trying to decide between the Sonos Move and the Bose Portable Home Speaker. As the Bose PHS has a type C charging base and can easily be charged with an ordinary android or apple type c charger
Hi, my play 5 which I think is about 4 years old now has suddenly stopped working. Tried hard reset holding mute whilst putting power cord back in. Tried a different power cord. Nothing works, completely unresponsive. What are my options? Thanks.
Hi, What is the lenght of sonos one power cable provided in the box? Thanks,
I have read all of the info about battery level and I’m not see it on the app. In fact it looks for my system and there is no induction of my move nor it battery. I have an iPhone
I'm a happy Sonos customer, and I'm contemplating using Sonos Move speakers for outdoor use. I know I can set up 2 speakers as a stereo pair. Can I group 2 stereo pairs of Move speakers (total of 4)? I've read in the forum that you can do that with Sonos Ones. If I do that with the Move, will the automatic TruePlay work correctly with all 4 speakers in the environment?
I just got my first product, a Sonos One. The speaker does not appear as an AirPlay option. Additionally, even though I have set up the speaker through the app, on the AirPlay screen in the app it shows “no compatible products found.”
Hey all, I’ve had the same problem since we bought our system. I unfortunately can not find the last post that helped us fix the problem. Our beam works fine, our ONE SL speakers do not play TV channel audios. They work fine with Apple Music/Spotify… will someone please advise how we can fix this? thanks in advance
Can I set my WiFi network to 5ghz once I install a Sonos boost to work with the beam?
I just got a Sonos Beam soundbar for our living room and there seems to now be a slight delay on my game controllers for the Nintendo Switch. As soon as I disconnect the speaker it starts working like normal. Any ideas on how to fix this or why this is happening?
hiI noticed that Sonos recently ended the recycle mode on older devices. Now you can get the trade up discount but still use your old devices- albeit on the S1 app. I took up the trade up months ago as I felt I had no choice when the scheme was introduced and we were told old devices would mean your music network wouldn't work even if you had some newer devices like I had. The recycle mode reversal is welcome, but what can people do with devices they have in recycle mode? Is there a way yet for Sonos to re activate them?
I've noticed that when you put the Move into sleep mode, or even completely shut it down, It loses battery fairly quickly. Can you just leave it in the charger base, charging at all times, or will this damage the battery? Many thanks.
So since I downloaded the new sonos control player, I've went from never having any issues at all, to constantly having intermittent issues with my speakers. The speaker will work fine for a few days, and then, usually on my mobile device, android, I get the message unable to connect to Sonos. Before anybody says, I've tried turning it on/off, I have lots of devices using my broadband, and I've changed providers since then and no other device has any issues what do ever. I recently reset my speaker, worked fine for a week until now, mid song. Since the update, it's basically bricked my speaker and all the help given seems to only work short term. It works while wired, bit I didn't want to pay for a premium system to have wires hanging everywhere so it's not really an acceptable alternative for me. Submitted a diagnostic report to Sonos but no reply. Shock. From a product that was used several hours a day to one that can only be used several times is a month is so disappointing. I was a
I plugged my One SL into a measuring device and see it seat at 3.9 watts when idle, which is a bit more than this support document advertises (3.4 watts). I have a pair so that’s about 8 watts, running 24/7 that makes about 6 kwh/month. It seems kind of wasteful to me for devices just sitting there doing nothing. Apple’s HomePod has a low power mode that make it run at 1.76 watts when idle. Surely Sonos can do better.I honestly wouldn’t mind if my device takes a bit longer to start when I get back to it. It’s not doing anything most of the time so saving power would seem to make the most sense. Hopefully Sonos can deliver something in a device update, even if it is an opt-in low power mode, I would gladly enable it.
Hello! We just purchased a Bluetooth enabled record player and we are trying to figure out how to play the sound through our new Sonos Arc system (Arc + a few Ones + subwoofer), but having no luck. All the chat threads here refer to the Play:5. Do we need to buy something else to get this to work? Nice, new and highly-rated record player doesn’t seem to connect as easily as we thought even though BT enabled. No line-in on the new Arc (other than HDMI). We welcome any/all insights please! TIA.
is there any chance to connect SYMFONISK to a television?
My original Sonos Move had to be replaced back in January as it was in a permanent fault state (red flashing charging light) and wouldn’t charge. My replacement Move just flashed this red light again when I put it on the charger, and required a reboot to carry on playing music. This is the first time I’ve seen this behaviour - i.e the first model just died with no prior warning and my replacement has continued to work. It is now working again as normal, but now I’m paranoid I’m going to have a situation like my first Move! Is this a known issue? Cheers. (Diags Submitted 710121452)
My Sonos Play 1 keeps playing random music from spotify that isnt in my library around 6am everyday - I have no idea how to stop or how its even doing this! It has happend 3 times now I have even began turning off my wifi and bluetooth on my phone but it still keeps doing it! Any help please?
Hi,I´m having trouble with my Sonos move and want to sync it with Sonos one (that I can now use)Both come up on the app, but when I press the Sync button is comes up as ´you have to have 2 compatable Sonos products to sync´ and thats it.Can you help please? Best,Lilja
Hi ForumHere is a new problem… I like to have music in the house all day. I start the music from my MacBook Pro M1, it streams from Apple Music or Spotify to Sonos One and Beam. On the same computer I do Teams meetings at work, I use a Jabra Evolve 75 Bluetooth headset for this meetings. Every time I turn the headset off, the music in the house is paused. After the meetings, I turn off the headset, I need to go into Spotify or Apple Music and press play again to let the music flow in all the rooms again. If I start the music from my iPhone 12 Pro Max and AirPlay to the devices the music is not affected when I turn off the headset, but the headset is not paired with the phone, just the Mac. Anyone else that has the same problem ?
As the Sonos Play 5 has Bluetooth and the Project s2 Juke Box Turntable has bluetooth. Can i play my vinyl via bluetooth connection or will it have to go through pre amp (2rca to 3.3 mm etc)Thank you
I have +10 Sonos speakers that were purchased at different times. I have no idea which are first generation speakers that will not work with the new S2 app. I would like to upgrade the old speakers but do not know which one was purchased when or really anything about them. Is there somewhere within the app or online tools to identify the old speakers?
I have a house with an excellent wifi system, 8 AMP units hooked to ceiling speakers, and everything plays fine and is reliable.I am trying to add 2 SL-One speakers. They won’t join, I go through the procedures but they never show up in the list of rooms after I am done.I take them to the wifi rack, hard wire them in and they join and work. Unplug them from the Ethernet wire, and they still play in the system. Unplug them from power, take them upstairs, and plug them back in and they are gone.
My Sonos One speaker has stopped working and there is no LED light coming on at all. I tried the power cable from my Sonos One SL speaker and this didn't do anything. It worked fine and then suddenly stopped working. A few months ago a fuse was blown that effected the electrics in the house but was sorted. Could something have blown in the speaker when this happened?
Hi All,Wondering everyone’s thoughts on keeping a Sonos Move in our detached and uninsulated garage. We live in an area where temperatures can stay below freezing for weeks at a time and can get to single digits Fahrenheit (-13 C) or colder. My question is, what damage could be done to the battery or the Move itself if we keep the Move in the garage at those temperatures? Also I see the specs state that charging occurs from 0 C and above. What happens if I leave the Move plugged in and the temperature is below 0 C? Would it do any damage to the battery or it would just not charge? Thanks!
Yes, don't shoot me down just yet, I know electronics and water are not good bedfellows.I have a Sonos Move in the bathroom, which is rated for IP56, so it's splash proof and can operate in very humid / extreme temperature ranges -25°C (-13°F) to 70°C (158°F).The battery isn't great on the Sonos Move and I need to charge it fairly often. So, I was thinking, maybe I could run a USB-C into the bathroom from a power socket outside the bathroom. The Sonos Move isn't close to any running water (6ft away from shower/sink), my main concern is actually humidity forming around the USB-C port/cable of the device.Being a bathroom it can get quite humid and lots of condensation/steam in the air.Do you think this would work? Any concerns?
