I just purchased a Sonos 5 After already owning a play 5 (2nd gen) and am finding that i cannot stereo pair the two? If this is the case that is ridiculous and ill be returning the Sonos 5 
such great speakers with such stupid limitations….

Unfortunately you cannot pair the Five with the Play:5 as they are two different speakers. You can probably find a used Play:5 (Gen 2) on eBay for a good deal though.
