I have a play 5 gen 2 and I have just bought a Sonos 0ne gen 2 with voice control and it say they cannot pair. Can anyone help please. It’s starting to drive me mad!!!
I have two first gen Play 5s, and they both play music individually, but I cannot get them to connect in stereo or play in a group together. I’ve assigned them their own IPs, and connected them to the router via Ethernet, but nothing seems to work.
I have one of my rooms set up with a Play bar and two Play 1 speakers connected as a stereo pair. One of my Play 1 speakers has started to vibrate/buzz when the base is set in the middle which gets worse when the bass is increased. I now have to play music with reduced bass, no loudness and the treble up and it just about works. It sounds like a physical problem rather than anything else.Is there a life expectancy on these speakers as I have only had them a few years whereas my B&O Theater system has been going for more than 15 years with no problems?Just wondering if failure is built in to get you to upgrade to the latest version of the product. Has anyone else had similar issues?
Has anybody had success with any particular model of car charger for the Sonos Move? I bought one that matched the specs on the Move technical support page and it didn’t seem to work so looking for a brand or model that does.
I play record deck via a cartridge amp and Mac book through line in to Play 5 gen 2. I have tried to link a Cowon Plenue D via line in. But there is no sound. Can this work ?
I regularly leave my Move on its base and cant get the contacts to light the charging light meaning I regularly cant use it and would happily chuck it away if it hadnt cost my wife so much money
I have two Play 1 speakers. I connect to these using the controller app installed on my Android phone, and my partner does the same on her iOS phone. Both of us are only able to use the app maybe 50% of the time since we frequently can’t connect to the system. At the top of the app the message is “Unable to connect to Sonos”.This happens anywhere in the house, I can be standing on my porch or next to the Wi-Fi router and Sonos speaker but it makes no difference. This has happened for years, I have tried resolving this multiple times on calls with Sonos tech support, but the issue remains. How likely is it that I just have a pair of lemon speakers? If not then why can’t Sonos help me work this out? When the connection is established/kept then everything works like a dream, so it seems that the issue is getting an initial handshake/connection.Thanks in advance for any helpful comments or suggestions.
I’ve been using my Sonos One in Japan for the last year. If I move to the UK, would it be possible to use the device there if I replace the cable with the UK Angled Power Cable? Or are there differences with voltage/wiring internally in the device? Thank you.
I recently setup a Sonos One at my in-laws. Had some issues with the setup initially but worked through it. I got the speaker to start using Apple airplay successfully. I got the music to start playing, paused it, disconnected airplay to show the in-law how to use it. Went to go select the speaker again through airplay and could not connect again. Now the speaker is no longer being seen on airplay. The speaker is seen in the sonos app, but not in the airplay. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi There I’ve just purchased 2 Ones and tried to add them as surround speakers to my Beam and they won’t connect. Looking at the system I noticed the warning message below. Any ideas as what the issue is and how to resolve it. thanks in advance
Translate with Google from French :-) :Hello,Here is my problem, I currently have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo 2M turntable, connected to a Pro-Ject Phono Box MM DC phono preamplifier, itself connected to a SONOS Five via an Audioquest Evergreen mini-jack RCA 1.5 m cable . (Actually, I changed my previous turntable by this one, thinking that the turntable was involved ...)The problem that I encounter is that the sound saturates on strong voices like Adele or Loreena McKennitt. As soon as the voice increases a little in power, the sound sizzles. I don't have this problem with the digital version of the albums, via Spotify for example. My line input is set to level 2 on AV.So do you have an idea? Why is the quality deteriorating on the input line of the SONOS FIVE?Thank you in advance for your help.Raphael
I have two Sonos One Speakers and a Sonos Connect using an S1 app controller. I want to add a Sonos Move to this system using the S1 app so I can still use the Sonos Connect (older model).During the set up procedure for the Sonos Move, I’m being forced to install the S2 app and there seems to be no other option. Any suggestions before I return the Sonos Move to the store?
My Move isn’t changing from network to Bluetooth mode when I press the mode change button??
I just purchased a Sonos Move and quite frankly I'm unimpressed. I noticed when the speaker is on wifi and I'm using the S2 App that when the volume slider is on minimum there isn't much sound and when the volume slider is on max the sound isn't as loud as I had expected. I read a review that said the speaker at max volume is 105 db. I don't ever see that being possible. I have only listened to music via Sirius XM and Amazon Music. Could it be that said content is so compressed that maybe Tidal HD would be more impressive? Please help me understand why I'm so disappointed in the Moves Sound. Thanks in advance for any help
Any way to adjust the notification chime on the move? It is ridiculously loud.
We have a Sonos play bar and have been happy with it. For Christmas we purchased 2 Sonos 5 speakers to go with it. The one we paired to the playbar goes in and out constantly. We have rebooted everything, reinstalled the app and worked with support. Anyone have more ideas before we send these back?
I don’t think I’m too picky, but for a speaker that has a larger form facfor than a One (accounting for battery), I would expect the Move to at least sound as good as a One. Adjusting EQ or using TruePlay make no real difference… the sound is still very hollow with terrible midrange. On top of that, the battery lasts nowhere near what is advertised; I can only get a few hours out of it at most. Is this thing defective? My experience seems at odds with many others.
I recently had a Sonos one, I replaced that with the Sonos move. music and TV audio constantly skips and breaks coming from the move. I made no connection changes just replaced the one with the move. The Sonos move is 12 ft from my Sonos soundbar and 20 ft from my router all on the same floor in one room. All softwares are up to date. It's horrible.
Hi, I’m currently experiencing a problem whereby my Sonos beam is not discoverable on airplay (bear in mind that at some point it was) is very frustrating at the least that you pay so much money to get a subpar experience. Definitely would not recommend.
I just purchased a Sonos 5 After already owning a play 5 (2nd gen) and am finding that i cannot stereo pair the two? If this is the case that is ridiculous and ill be returning the Sonos 5 such great speakers with such stupid limitations….
Hi, I would like to know if there is latency/delay when you couple wired speakers (Cabasse jersey) and wireless speakers (sonos one or sonos play) with Sonos connect or Port. Thanks,Benjamin
I have exchanged a faulty Sonos Move device with a replacement device. How do I remove the original Move device from the Sonos 2 app. System/Products shows my original ‘Sonos Move’ as being ‘Offline’ with no apparent way to remove it (very irritating to keep seeing a device that has been replaced!!)
So i’ve just bought beam and move and have been woefully disappointed that i neither group two speakers for surround for TV watching or playing spotify in separate rooms at the same time together. For grouping, the app says you need 3 or more rooms! I’ve come across posts such as thissaying you can and also articles https://www.imore.com/does-sonos-move-work-other-sonos-speakers such as this that inspired me to incorporate TV and music about the house. I’m seriously thing about returning these speakers and going full out audiophile with an amp and some fyne’s.
Hi,I have to install 4 Sonos ONE in a room, each one approx. placed in the cornor and connected with netcable (so no wifi). Is there any recommendations to the setup of the speakers. I´m thinking making 2 stereo pairs vs. 4 mono speakers, or is this what suits me best?RegardsRobert
Hi. I have a playbase and 2x Sonos Ones (surrounds) connected to my TV and I am very happy. I am keen on exploring vinyl and I am looking at a Lenco L-85 which is quite cheap at £115 which also contains a pre amp. What I am wondering is can I use my Sonos Ones as a stereo pair using a Sonos connect without disconnecting from my tv setup.
