In the UK, is there an additional on-the-go charging cable for the Move better than any other?
Hi, for anyone who has bought the Sonos Roam, have you bought a case for it? If so, which one did you get?
I’ve spent the last 3 hours trying to get my play 1 to connect to my new MacBook as a speaker following all sorts of guides and stuff. No chance. It won’t show up as a speaker. I have no interest in Radio of any kind or any service that chooses the music for me. I want to choose what music I play and when it plays. Is there anything I can do that Play:1 is capable of doing? Cheers Stefan
I want to use my iphones microphone as source and sonos roam as an amplifier. Many people don’t speak very loud and are difficult to hear t.ex. When they are making a speach to a party. I have just been to a birthdayparty - 80 years- and it was very difficult to hear speaches. Maybe sonos could integrate this possibility in the app. I´m sure, that it will be very popular.???
Hi,I have 2 new Sonos roam speakers. The sound quality, design etc is amazing, however the battery life is really poor, only lasting approx 2 hrs after an over night charge. I have enabled battery saving and turned off all other value services to try to improve this but without any success. Any advice or ideas? Cheers
It would be nice to be able to split a sonos one that is paired in 5.1 surround audio zone to use for music while leaving the remaining pieces of surround running TV audio. It makes sense that audio quality might degrade but for simple tv watching and cooking in evening to split up a surround and move speakers around without major reconfiguration of entire system would be extremely useful. For example being able to go in the app and have the option to stream individually Apple Music to the right rear while watching YouTube.
I have a Sonos Beam connected to a Vizio TV via HDMI ARC. The TV speakers are disabled so Sonos is primary speaker. I followed the setup instructions and everything works fine:Volume up/down works Alexa works Beam manual controls workThe problem I have is that when I press the Vizio remote mute button, the Beam will mute for a short period of time but then will unmute on its own. The duration of time that it stays muted varies between a few seconds to a few minutes. Inevitably though, the TV/Beam will unmute. I’ve done all of the following things to try to fix the issue:Unplugged power to TV and everything connected to the TV, waiting a minute before plugging back in. Unpair and re-pair the Beam Re-pair TV Re-pair remote Disable “Use IR” Disable Alexa “Word Wake Chime” Updated TV and Beam firmwareNothing I’ve tried works. Any thoughts?
Hi folks. I have a Move and a Roam. Is there any way to get them to work together when outside (i.e. not on a home wi-fi network). I know that many of the portable speakers like UE Boom or JBL allow multiple speakers to work together while connected via Bluetooth to one phone. Is this functionality available with Sonos? If not - any work arounds - eg hotspotting? Thanks in advance!
Hello, anyone knows if Sonos speakers are compatible to connect via WIFI to a Samsung Freestyle projector?
Hi all, I have 6 Sonos One SL that we play music via AirPlay. Is there a way to connect them via bluetooth instead? We would like to gain some of the bluetooth functionality. The devices are mounted about 16 ft high. Any help is appreciated.
I am no longer in possession of this Roam. Instructions seem to indicate I would have to create a whole new system and re-add all my current devices (minus the Roam). Is there really not a better way?
any one know what is the Power cable’s material? is it recycled material?
I just set up my SONOS Move and installed the app on my phone. It works great with this device. I would like to use the Bluetooth with other devices - mainly a laptop for if I watch a film/tv show. However, my laptop cannot find the Move. Does anyone know why this could be? Or how to fix this?
Hello team, Any plan for such a new feature in the S2 app ?
I have a house-full of Sonos kit, and have been a user for many years. Last year I added a Roam, which has worked well until the last few days. About a week ago it disappeared from the list of products shown on my Android app. I simply reinstalled it and forgot about the problem. Yesterday it again disappeared but this time I have been unable to reinstall it. I’ve done all the usual & recommended things, including deleting the app. from my ‘phone and reinstalling it, all to no avail.Just now I signed on to my Sonos account on my PC, and the Roam is showing. I set it up to play some music, and it works perfectly from my PC. However despite every effort at getting it to show on my Android ‘phone it doesn’t show on the app. This is important as I use the Roam in my garden & don’t want to have to rush into the house to control it! Can you use Bluetooth at home with the Sonos Roam? I know the question is why would you want to and I really don’t but trying to make a point with my obstinate teen daughter.
Hi. On April 26th I bought a Sonos Roam SL through the online store. The order was invoiced on my card. For some reason, the product did not arrive at its destination in Portland. It arrived in Troutdale and, for no reason, returned to the sender on May 13. I've already sent Sonos a lot of emails and talked to two attendants of Sonos, with no solution. What else can I do to receive my product or get the cancellation and chargeback on my card?Any suggestions?Thank you for your attention
So I got a Sonos Roam as a gift. Issue is I have a full S1 system (several Connects and Connect amps) that are only S1 compatible. The Roam is only S2 compatible.so figured I could download the S2 app and use that app with the Roam and the S1 with my existing system But it won’t seem to let me and keeps kicking me out to the S1 app (where the roam won’t work). Can’t I use two different apps on the same phone to control the two different systems?
I did a video chat earlier with one of the Sonos support reps to ask about whether I could use a Roam to connect my bluetooth turntable to the Roam and then to the rest of my Sonos set-up. She was adamant that this would not work. However, I’ve read a number of articles about using the Roam and see a number of chats on here about it as well. I’m assuming that the Roam will work with my bluetooth turntable but Sonos doesn’t want to sanction its use officially as they would prefer me to buy a more expensive solution? Is that the case?
Hi, I have a Sonos setup at work (two Sonos / Ikea lamps) and a Sonos setup at home - couple of Sonos Ones and a Sonos Sub. Everything is running off wifi in both locations.Today I brought my home gear to the office and tried to add it to the Sonos setup there as we have an event, but the products are not found. I have even tried wiring them with a cable, but still not found. My work sonos products uses one email address and my home sonos products another, can this cause an issue when trying to add the products to the work setup? Any other possible reason why we can’t connect them? Thanks Frank
I had an urgent need, and I mean urgent need to get the volume turned down…NOW. Couldn’t get it done because of the pop up ad nonsense from the brains at Sonos. Why does this crap have to hinder an otherwise smooth operation? Ditch the billboard!
I have an outdoor tv that I would like to be able to play over my Sonos amps that have wired outdoor speakers connected. However, I don't want to connect one of the SONOS indoor sound bars to be able to play my TV across all my outdoor speakers. Has SONOS considered some sort of adapter that would connect to the tv audio outputs (but not necessarily a speaker) that would be visible in the app to group other speakers with? Or a very small speaker that would connect to the tv that would be hidden behind a mounted tv?
I have a Sonos one, Sonos one SL and Gen 2 beam. Plus a few other Sonos products. Whenever I connect the Sonos one, it works for a few hours. Then. When I go back to play something, it's gone. I tried to set a stereo setup with sonos one SL and it still disappears. These are $300 speakers. Why does this keep happening? WiFi signal good. 1gb internet. Hard reset done 3 times. Moved closer to router. Reset router. I've done of all the "diy" stuff that I can think of and it is quite frustrating.
What is the range of the Roam in relation to the Amp, using Wi-Fi? And Bluetooth?
