I moved to Germany a while back and had connection issues ever since. I recently read that in Europe additional WiFi channels are supported and hence I wanted to change my speaker’s region to EU by accessing http://<sonos_ip>:1400/region.htm. They all show US as default and when I try to change that I get a 403 because I don’t have the correct password. What pw is being asked for here? Where do I get the info from? Is it possible to change all speakers’ regions together (I changed the country settings in my account but to no avail). Thanks for any suggestions!!
I used to be able to pause a radio station by using the mute button on the speaker and then resume it by pressing the same button 24 hours later. This no longer works. Trying to resume using the button no longer works and I have to use the app. However, even in the app it is not possible to start the play again by tapping on the radio station image. I now have to select the station again from favourites. This change has been relatively recent (a few months ago) and before all was fine.
I recently purchased the move and I am very happy with it. I plan to update my TV and purchase the Arch and play ones. If I am watching a YouTube music video on my TV with the sound playing out of the arch and play ones, can I also play the sound out of the move?
Is it just me or has the Sonos Move really improved the sound quality of the system?
I am a current Sonos product user. I have two Five’s in stereo. I’ve previously had a 1st Gen Beam, two One SL’s and a 1st Gen Play:5. My issue of hissing/white noise was first noticed with my Beam. It was replaced under warranty for a different reason but the hissing remained. All of my previous and also current Sonos equipment experience the same issue. I don’t recall the Play:5 being as bad though. The hissing/white noise starts as soon as audio starts playing. It continues when you pause whatever is playing for 15 seconds (every time as I have timed it). This hissing/white noise remains at the same level no matter the level of volume from the speakers. The quieter the audio, the more you notice it when audio is playing. I have tinnitus but I seem to be able to notice it far more than I thought I would. This hissing/white noise happens with HDMI inputs, line-in inputs and streaming via the S2 app, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Roon (Roon to Five, with Five Stereo as an endpoint
Has anyone on here bought the new “Mountson Premium Wall Mount for Sonos Move”. I’ve just received mine but it comes with the front cover attached, which needs removing to access the screw holes, but I cannot remove it! I was wondering if anyone else had one and had any tips to remove the cover? https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08ZNR42WV
I run a split system, usually without issue. However after the Desktop S1 app recently got confused and needed a Reset, one of my Play:5 Gen 1s has become quarantined. It shows in the ZoneGroupState like this:The IP address is correct, but the name is wrong (that is the name of a Beam Gen 2 on my S2 system). If I run the S1 Mobile app, it lists “Den” as “Needs update”. If I try to take the update, it says none is available. How do I get my Play:5 back into a usable state?
So I have a beam with x2 One SLs connected to the TV for surround & WiFi for multi room where I have other One's around the house. All are fine except when I'm near the One sl's (around 2ft) in the living room that are linked to the beam where they start cutting out & in like interference. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Is there any difference between having a Boost connected to the router vs a Play 1 connected to the router?Do they both provide the same quality of mesh? Or is the Boost better because that’s is only function?thanks
People are talking all the greatness of the Arc, my system started with the Playbase!I was wondering why Sonos got of the Playbase and the play 3’s.
Hi,Do you know if it’s possible to connect SONO ONE speaker directly to the electricity power and not on a plug ?We would like to have the speakers set up on the wall and if possible, we would like the cable to go directly into the wall to avoid having a plugThank you,Loic
I see that you recommend 10W for the Roam, but how much can it handle? Would a 60-75W be too much? If that is not too much would the Roam change alot faster with 75W or is there a point when more watts would not mean faster charging?
How do I merge speakers from two different rooms?
I have seen lots of topics all around the same thing - Sonos Move not playing. This seems wrong to me for such an expensive product. Are Sonos looking into this and trying to determine what the bug is because it can’t be a coincidence that so many people have the same issue.
How many generations of the Sonos 5 are there? Is there a big difference between Play 5 and Five?
More random software issues…. I have had a Move for 2 days. First day it was fine, added to my network, etc worked great.Today I moved it outside with me (well within wifi range, the router is just on the other side of a window) and it worked fine until I pressed Pause and went away for a few hours. Now I cannot get it to work at all. The Sonos app shows its connected and playing music but no sound comes out.I’ve got a solid white light and if press Play on the Move itself, it blink white for a bit and then back to solid white, still without any music. What do I do?
Hi there, I recently purchased a Sonos One for my girlfriend as she had a rubbish TV (without Bluetooth) and terrible sound. however, it is not working well as a solution as I have to connect the sonos to the Apple TV via BT, and it is not a permanent connection, meaning that I have to select it as the audio source on the Apple TV everytime and controlling the volume with the ATV remote only works once the airplay connection is established. how can I get a permanent/seemless experience without having to buy her a BT tv?
So I got a second Roam to enjoy the stereo greatness. Both are online and connected, paired in stereo. Only 1 speaker will play music at a time. If I turn off the speaker that works the other one suddenly works again. When they are both on the working speaker is playing in stereo but the other is silent. I have reset the speakers twice now, reset the router a few times, Uninstaller and reinstalled the app. I am wits end and completely bummed put with all of this. I worked for a bit and was amazing.... now not so much
I was going to buy another two speakers today. I put them in my cart and it indicated that I would get a 20% discount. I then realized that I qualified for a 15% upgrade discount. I removed the two speakers from my cart, select two of my existing speakers to upgrade, and returned to add the two speakers I wanted to purchase to my cart. To my surprise I was only credited with a 15% discount, not a 15% discount on the price that had been discounted by 20%. I still wanted the speakers so I figured that I would be able to choose the 20% discount instead of the 15% upgrade discount. No such luck! There is now no way to remove the 15% discount and return to the 20% discount. My attempt to save some money would actually cost me 5% and use up two of my upgrades. I will not be buying any Sonos speakers today.
Is it possible to pair the sonos ray tv speaker with ikea symfonisk picture frame ?
Hello...I’ve searched the library but have yet to confirm that Sonos Ones can be used with a Windows 11 Dell desktop. Could someone let me know if this is a seamless solution for music listening via my desktop?Much appreciated!
Just finished a software update to my Sonos Roam (second one I've had the first one died and had to be returned). I'm now getting a warning about "insufficient power supply" when charging. The power supply I'm using meets the minimum requirements. So just for fun I took a 65W USB-C power supply for a laptop and plugged it in. Getting the same error.Anyone else have this issue?
I'm not sure if this subject has been beaten to death but here goes my question..… I'm considering purchasing a used Play 3 or 5 but I'm worried they will age out making my purchase a waste. I'd like to add one larger speaker to my two Play ones and my built in kitchen ceiling speakers powered by a Connect:amp. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. One way or the other I'm in the market for one more speaker. Thanks,Rob
Hi all We’re getting a second Five for a stereo setup. From what I’ve gathered on these forums, vertical with tweeters on the outside should give the best results in a room like this, which is pretty narrow but long. I hope this setup will cover both this floor (often used) and the one above (only used occasionally for music). Please correct me if this is wrong.I’m expecting to use the Flexson vertical wall mounts on the locations drawn on the first picture, which looks to have the recommended 5 cm of air behind the speakers. But what about the horizontal placement? Are there any recommendations on how much space there should be from the side of the speaker (tweeters) to the adjacent wall? Thanks :)
Are there going to be any updates to the sonos roam. It’s horrible now. The Sonia’s move is intuitive. It has separate button Bluetooth, network connection, resetting. This has one button and it’s very confusing. I do not use the volume up or down, or the voice button at all. I use my phone for all of that. Right now I want to simply set up another network on the sonos and it is ten minutes process. This is ridiculous.
