I have a Sonos 1 that is on my network with an IP. Additionally, I’m able to ping the Sonos device using the command prompt. However, the only way I can connect to this speaker to play sound is via Bluetooth from my Windows PC. How can I use my network connection to the device to play sound? Basically use it as a network-controlled speaker.
Hello, I have 2 Sonos 5 placed on each side of the TV to listen to music and I just bought a Sonos Ray.I configured my 2 Sonos Five in surround in the app which produces very good sound for movies withe the Ray.The question I ask myself is for the music. When I listen music, the sound comes out of the 3 (it's normal) and I was wondering if that didn't lower the sound quality because the Ray is less powerful than the 5?2nd question: is it possible to have the 3 grouped and create another room where there were only the 2 Sonos five grouped in stereo without the Sonos Ray?thank you
The Sonos Five do not have any mounting holes to allow for ceiling mounting with a safety cable. I can’t think of a way to do this without modifying the actual speaker. Has anyone been able to successfully come up with a way to hang them face down?
I recently purchased a Sonos Roam SL speaker and connected it to my computer. But sometimes the volume balance goes high and sometimes low. Is it the speaker issue or the issue of my computer? I was totally puzzled about what to do. Could someone please suggest a solution that might assist in resolving this issue?
Will the Roam speakers work with Play 1 speakers? We have a paired set of Play 1 speakers in our kitchen overhead and want to use/pair a third portable outdoor speaker for our outside deck as one system.
I consider having 12 Sonos One on the same network: “Room 1” and “Room 2”, being able to play both rooms at the same time or separately. Is this possible, or is it a problem?
Hello, yesterday one of my kids dropped a Sonos 5 we had behind the couch. The case is cracked on one side and it won't turn on or show any life signs. So it is basically dead. My question is, does Sonos do repairs, or do I need to buy a new one? Also wanted to know, in case of Sonos not doing repairs can I take it to a store and maybe they will repair it there?
Is it safe for the Sonos roam to be charging in the bathroom while showering behind a glass door?
I wanted to put this out there in case others are encountering the same problem. I recently purchased a brand new Sonos Sub Mini directly from Sonos. When I received it, I went to set it up, however, the at the step that involves using NFC from my iPhone to input a pin code, the NFC connection didn’t seem to work. I was given the option to enter the pin printed on the device manually, however, this led to a strange notification saying the pin and did not match the device’s serial number. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the serial number in the app did not match the serial number printed on the device & on the box (only the last 3 characters of the serial number were mismatched). I reached out to Sonos support several times. The first time, I was disconnected from the chat service. The second time I chatted in, I was told that I would receive an email in 30 minutes about a replacement being sent to me and how to return the original device. After several hours of not receivin
I got a brand new pair of Sonos One SL’s only a month or two ago and have just had an ant colony error out from inside it. I’ve been in touch with Sonos and they’re denying me a replacement because they say ants aren’t mentioned in the warranty (lol, of course not..why would they be mentioned) and their other excuse is that besides the ants, the postal service won’t ship the speaker back because of the ants (what kind of a bizarre answer is that??) and therefore they won’t honour the speakers warranty. I’m actually quite shocked by the customer service I’ve received. I’m going to contact the ACCC and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. My wife is also in species discovery and has some friends who happen to specialise in ant identification (pure fluke but amazing) so hopefully I can get the species identified pretty quickly. I can see I’m not the first person to experience this issue, however Sonos appears to haveclosed the previous conversations down already. Anyo
Hi,I’m delivering some training this week in a location with only basic facilities (projector onto wall) and the presentation has some audio files. Can I use the Sonos One I have at home as the audio for my pc laptop? If that’s impossible/horrible I will also have an ipad/iphone with me, so would a kludge be to run the powerpoint on ios at the same time as from my pc laptop and just airplay the audio at the relevant time? There’s no video to worry about being in sync with, the relevant slides are audio-only. I’ve no adaptor to *just* run the whole thing from the ipad.
My Roam has stopped working. It has disappeared from the S2 app. When plugged into mains charger, the amber light on the bottom is on.When sitting on charger base, no lights show at all.The white LED has stopped lighting.I have tried reset (hold down play/pause, press and release power button on rear). This does nothing.Any suggestions?
Hi everyone, I would like to seek some help with regards to my sub. When I switch on my TV it mutes my arc and my sub. The arc unmutes itself but I notice that the sub stays muted. Even if I adjust my volume level, the sub stays muted. The only way for me to get it unmuted is to remove the sub from the arc and then add it back on. Has anyone encountered this issue before and have you been able to resolve this?
Just wondering whether the wireless charger for Roam works with the first generation/original model of the product?
My TV has only optical Audio output, but I wanna connect my TV to Sonos five
How do I know if my sonos one are 2nd. generation?
How can I connect my Sonos 5:PLAY speaker and a Sony CDP-CX355 CD Changer? Do I need an amp and pre-amp?
I’m buying a receiver that has Sonos capabilities and I need to know where the wireless signal comes from? Does it come from the Sound Bar or does it come from the Sub Woofer?
Hi, I have got two nintedo switches in the house and they run wirelessly. I also have my sonos system. The Swithches are furthest from the router in our house and both sit relativly close to a sonos product. The wireless signal is somewhat low for both the swithches so was wondering if I could hook each switch via the eathernet ports on the sonoses. Will this provide a more stable network for the Swithches to run on?
Three months is all it took for Sonos Move to stop working. 3 MONTHS for a $450 speaker. Well they Sonos team replaced it with a refurbished speaker. Good job, Sonos team!My question to community is - Do you feel comfortable paying $450 for a brand new speaker from SONOS website and within 3 months getting your product replaced by a refurbished one. Are you okay with this customer service. I am not, and would appreciate your feedback.
First off, when I bought my Sonos One SL everything was fine out of the box with the old phone app. I loved it so much I bought 3 more, so I have 4 total Sonos One SL systems. When I was FORCED to upgrade to the new app, all hell broke loose and it’s never been the same. A quick look at the Google Play Store reviews section for the current Sonos app confirms that MANY people are having DISASTROUSLY TERRIBLE experiences with Sonos now.Originally I bought the system for my wife so she registered it and was the system owner/admin. When I had her move ownership to me, everything became literally unusable. The FOUR Sonos systems I own cannot be used at all.It appears you have some kind of heuristics based theft or hardware cloning protection that has kicked in viciously and rendered my products unusable.Possible trigger points:moving ownership to a new account geo-IP location in Eastern Europe 3 of the systems were sold at a U.S. military base exchange so they were “intended” for North
My daughter likes to put her hand on the actual subwoofer speakers while a song plays with big bass. Could that potentially damage the sub or is that okay? We have a Sonos Sub Mini.
Now that my Fives arrived and successfully paired and grouped with my Sub & PlayBase (TV Room) I put my Ones in the garage repaired and sounding good. Now my Play 1’s are looking for a new room. Can I keep them paired and put them in the same room as my other 2 Play1’s (paired)? So I would have a total of 4 Play1’s (2 paired) in the room. And how would it sound?
I have 5 Sonos speakers. I simply restarted my router and now all my speakers are gone. Can Sonos explain this and not blame the user, ISP or router manufacturer. Rather than spend half an hour reconnecting all of them many that are physically out of reach can Sonos explain their incredibly poor performance? If there’s a technical bypass please let me know. Otherwise I tell every person to run from this brand for there technical ineptitude and lack of reliability. so tired of going thru this process every time the router gets reset
My Sonos Roam is 14 months old and has stopped charging and functioning completely. When sat on the wireless charger no lights turn on. When plugged in to USB-C the orange light comes on, but nothing works. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps (factory reset, charging overnight). According to the support line my only option is to get a 30% off coupon code and buy a new one. Any experience with this.
