Hi,My first post. Sonos has a page - Sonos Power Consumption While Idle, is there a similar page for the Symfonisk products? Also does SonosNet usage have a large impact on standby consumption? I only stumbled onto SonosNet today, I wonder why Sonos/IKEA don’t promote its use?
Does anyone know how to get better audio through the Sonos app or through airplay? I have a Beam gen 2 with a Sub connected to my TV and two Ones (One in the kitchen and one in my bedroom). The Beam and sub sound amazing when playing music through my Apple TV but when I use the Sonos app or airplay, the sound quality and bass decrease dramatically. The crisp vocals and high tones fade away and the bass loses its punch, especially with the lowest notes. It sounds like the frequency range is being reduced. This is with Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon music. I have also tested different audio formats such as Atmos, Stereo PCM, and Amazon ultra hd. I have also tested different sources with the same results. It is annoying because I like multi room listening, which means I have to listen at a lower quality (in the Sonos app or over airplay). I have heard much better sound quality and bass over air play and bluetooth with much cheaper systems so it’s hard to believe that is the cause.
Hi. Does the new Symfonisk Floor Lamp and wi-if speaker work with Beam? And if so, when I give voice command to my Beam to play music will that also make the Symfonisk speakers play music? Or do I have to turn the symfonsik speakers on manually every time I want to play music? Also, what is the quality of the Symfonisk speakers including the sound and the product itself? Thank you.
Hi, I have a Symfonisk bookshelf Gen 1 and want to buy a Gen 2 to create a stereo system. Will I be able to pair them? Kind regards,Rainer
Hi team,I looked for it but topics are closed and would not answer my point. So I connected an LG Oled 4K audio out (headphones) to the Line in of my Sonos 5 Gen 2. In the app it shows like it is playing (equalizer moving) but I don’t get any sound from the Sonos 5. I checked volume levels, it seems fine. I unplugged couple times still the same. TV is an LG OLEDE955PLA.Your help welcome ;-)
I have two ONEs (Gen 1), a Connect:Amp (Gen 2) and a BEAM (Gen 1) and am looking toward developing my Sonos system. If I buy “new” then I can get a 15% discount on each of my existing items and still continue to use these items along with any new Sonos speakers purchased. This discount is not available if one buys refurbished Sonos equipment, but the refurbished equipment is considerably cheaper than buying new.I am thinking of buying two FIVES.If I bought refurbished speakers then am I right in assuming the Sonos upgrade discount would not be offered if I wanted later on to upgrade my Sonos speakers using the refurbished FIVES against the cost of future new equipment. In other words buying refurbished equipment now would neither give me access to any 15% Sonos upgrade discount on the basis of upgrading my existing equipment and nor would I be able to qualify for a future upgrade discount on the basis of the refurbished items being traded. In other words buying refurbished gets a sort
I would like to know what band of wifi does the sonos speakers use. 2.4 or 5?
Hey team. We have 8 speakers connected to reception and treatment rooms. A few irritating issues we can’t troubleshoot. 1. Our clinic iPad app refuses to connect to the speakers despite being logged onto the same system. 2. Most of the rooms are connected to the “helm”. One or two therapists play their own playlists in their room via their phones. When they connect to just that speaker, the whole system either stops or goes haywire. 3. Sometimes we get an unstable internet connection for the system despite the rest of the internet and the solo connected therapists not having an issue. 4. When songs connect, they play for 5 seconds then skip to another song. Mumford and sons isn’t supposed to sound like EDM. Please help. Appreciation in advance.
I would like to get opinion for replacement of PC speaker to one Sonos One. Any adviser as want to have cable free connection using Bluetooth?
I have a Arc with sub and 2 ones in one room and a pair of fives with sub in another room. In the room where the fives are I would like to adjust the crossover frequencies, but seems like this isn’t possible. Why? This is the first system I have owned with a sub where it isn’t possible to adjust the crossover.
A current sales price is a better deal than the upgrade program, but said credit is preventing me from getting the sales price. I understand that offers cannot be combined, but how can I get those credits cleared out so I can qualify for the sales price?
Yesterday my Beam stopped properly responding to Spotify requests whether they were Alexa-voice requests or directly through the Spotify app. It starts to play after a LONG while then stops. The starts again. Very odd. Nothing has changed. Not having this issue with my other Sonos One
Hello, I'd like to be a able to stream podcasts from my Android phone Podcast Republic app to my Sonos beam. Is this possible? At the moment, I listen to podcasts via Podcast Republic app on my Android phone through phone speaker or via bluetooth speaker but it would be great if I could listen to them via the Sonos Beam as well. Thanks, Mark
So I’ve got a set of older speakers (play5 gen1, playbase, 2x play one gen1). I’ve had this problem for a while but finally trying to resolve it. Basically spotify cuts out for 5 seconds or so every now and then. Can be fine for a while, can cut out twice in a single track. Seems pretty random. I’ve had various chats with Sonos and Spotify but no solution. Sonos support now say that basically the play5 gen 1 can’t cope with the data rate from spotify. There doesn’t seem to be a way around this, either play5 requesting lower data rate or spotify sending lower data rate. It’s a little frustrating, and who know when the other speakers will be affected (I’ve not tested them as extensively). And all speakers play radio from Tunein fine, and Tidal is fine as well. So the conversation - do I replace the play5 (and if so what with? Sonos or alternative?) or switch to another streaming service? Or something else (I guess I could hook a Pi up to audio line in to Play5 and live with that, but it’s
I am trying to find out if it’s even possible to find out the battery level without WiFi connected. The app does not let you see anything about the device without WiFi. This is really a huge drawback for a portable speaker. anyone know?
Does adding other pieces to the ARC, off load enough of the the work to say a sub or 5 to make the ARC noticeably cleaner? More dynamic? More headroom? Is it ever going to get close to a studio monitor?Thank you.
Problème de connexion après un changement d'adresse du routeur
I have a stereo paired set of Play 5s that work beautifully with streaming content from the app. I recently purchased a turntable with preamp. I have two cables running out from the preamp to the two speakers (L and R). When I set up the turntable in the Sonos app. I ended up with a configuration that looks like the image below. Which means I can only select one speaker for playing audio. Both are working, but only one at at a time. I’m confident I screwed up the initial set up, But I can’t even figure out how to delete the turntable from the app to start over. Grateful for any help. (Be gentle with me.)
I need to mount the Arc above TV due to fireplace, but in general will it still sound great on a room with 30' ceilings? FP is on the left bottom.
Can you please help me? This room is 33 ft long. Usually while listening to music, we sit in the blue chairs. I have two 5s on either side of the credenza and a sub woofer next to the right speaker. The music doesn’t have the sound I thought it would. Do I have them placed too close together? Can I put them on either side of the room, that means they would be 30 ft apart. Do I need 2 more 5s?
Hi, So this is what I’ve got… 1st gen Apple tv4k sony bravia 43xf7596with standard arc (not eArc), HDCP2.3(for HDMI™1/2/3/4), Dolby™ Digital, Dolby™ Digital Plus, Dolby™ Pulse A Sonos beam gen 2 sound bar (supports arc, eArc, etc) My Apple settings for audio format allows me to choose EITHER auto or 5.1 (followed by a warning that I may get poor sound) if I play sound through the Netflix app on my virgin media box, I get DD atmos etc shown on my Sonos sound bar output. Great! if I play the same sound through the Netflix app (or play any other video) via the Apple TV 4K box, I just get PCM 2.0. On my sono app. No surround sound. Just pcm. So, in layman’s terms, how can I get surround sound (or better) from my Apple TV box through my beam sound bar? I’ve read countless articles, hearing about eArc, buying an arc to eArc converter, updating to gen 2&3 ATV, switching ATV format to just 5.1 despite the warning…. I’m lost… what should I really do? would a newer gen Apple TV help? Ple
HI -I’d like to use my Sonos Moves as a small PA system for gathering. So someone would be using a separate microphone and the idea is for the Moves to amplify it. Is this possible? Ideally I could use both (via airplay?) but i’d settle for just one (bluetooth). BTW, Sonos, how about supporting stereo pairing over bluetooth like some other vendors do??
I was excited that my sub mini arrived today, but not so much now that I've set it up. We've got an open-plan area where I have a beam for the tv and two 5s for music. I assumed I could pair the sub mini to both - ie, that it'd work with the beam when watching tv and with the 5s for music. But it looks like I have to assign it to one or the other. A bit disappointed! Unless I'm missing something?
Keeps dropping devices as I add devices will not maintain all four devices on the network simultaneously. Hot garbage application is hot garbage
I can't group my Sonos Move to my Sonos 5 pair, is it possible?
