Hi,

I have a Symfonisk bookshelf Gen 1 and want to buy a Gen 2 to create a stereo system.

Will I be able to pair them?

Kind regards,

Rainer

Hi @RainerLutz

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Yes, you will be able to pair these two versions of the Bookshelf speaker together.

I hope this helps.

Do the 2 speakers have to be in the same room.  I want to be able to play in 2 rooms in my apartment.

@JerseyGirl131 Pairing 2 speakers together as a stero pair creates a sonos “room” with a left and right speaker. In your situation you want to create two separate rooms, say lounge and kitchen and GROUP them together. Both speakers will play exactly the same music and you can adjust the volume of each speaker independently.

And grouping can even be done with speakers that could not be paired.
