My Beam is great when playing from an HD or standard TV source, but when I try and playback HDR or 4K the audio stutters and flutters; the picture, however, has no interference anywhere so it is definitely audio only. This is incredibly annoying and makes the programmes unwatchable, so I’m pretty close to returning it to the shop for my money back. The higher the spec of the signal used the worse the problem it would seemResolutions I have tried include:WiFi Network check - 180MBS at the TV verified on 3 other devicesChange of HDMI cable to Beam - New gold plated cable in place to latest spec. Replaced cable handles UHD perfectly from playerChecked all settings on TV Sony KD-49XF7003 - Sony confirmed all are correctTried all settings on Group Audio delay = Low, medium, high and max. Problem the same on all settingsAnyone got any suggestions before I give up and return the Beam? I like it, but I also like watching HDR and 4K content
with the upgrade from S1 to S2 controller app on Mac OS, the Sonos app stops when the computer goes into sleep mode. This never happened with S1. How can this be resolved?
Hi everyone,I own a Sonos ZP100 and from what I’ve read it seems that I could use both the speakers ouputs AND the analog line-out (plugged to another amplifier) simultaneously in order to play the same music on both my loudspeakers + my old amplifier. I think I’ve read that it is also possible to create two different zones (though it isn’t necessary for my current installation):Zone 1: loudspeakers outputs Zone 2: analog line-outHere is what I have done so far: Line-in is working perfectly fine.BUT, my problem is: When I play music with ‘normal’ settings (meaning Line-out level is set to Variable), I only have the sound coming out on my L 500/1 Loudspeakers and nothing coming out on the amplifier/L710 (analog line-out).When I play music with Line-out level set to Fixed or Pass-through (even if I know that obviously this amplifier isn’t compatible with pass-through) the music only comes out on the Amplifier/L710 and there’s nothing coming out on the L 500/1 / Loudspeakers output. Is th
tl;dr -- is there any way to avoid running a physical HDMI cable to the Sonos Arc? Can I leverage a wireless HDMI transmitter?Context:I’ve seen a few questions posted to these forums in the past with a similar question, all of which resulted in a pretty clear “no solution to this problem”, but things may have changed since then with the introduction of the HDFury Arcana, so I’ll try again. I am using a projector in an open-concept living space which will result in the projector screen dropping from the ceiling between my Living Room and Kitchen (above my Dining area). The complexity of this layout means I cannot expose an HDMI under the projector screen (unless I literally just run it manually every time I want to watch, and then unplug/conceal when not in use).My set-up includes my projector above the sofa (Epson 5050UBe), projector screen over dining (Solo Pro 2). Apple 4KTV + Xbox Series X (soon) are my two primary sources. I plan on stashing both the Apple 4KTV and Xbox Series
I have a samsung tv, sonos sound bar, att u-verse for cable, and a roku. When I watch u-verse the sonos sound bar has to be at 75% just to hear the audio. Then switching to Roku it blows the room out because it's still at 75%. Why does the sonos need to be at 75% to hear anything from u-verse? I've been trying to figure this out on various message boards and multiple people have issues but no one can figure this issue out. Help?!
When I use Sonos search to look for playlists, it only finds public playlists by other people not my own private playlists and services like Spotify and YouTube music and tidal. I am able to see the playlist if I use the browse function from the top menu but that's much slower. Is there any way to make this work? Thanks.
As per the title really. The controller app can still see and play on all my speakers but only when it’s in close proximity to a Sonos One (not an old Play:1) speaker. So I can’t control sets of speakers from my phone when I’m in the same room as them!Nightmare when playing musical statues at my son’s 9th birthday party last week!Any suggestions as to how or if I can fix this? I understand that you can’t make a stereo pair between Play:1s and Ones so that won’t help.Cheers.

I have been using SONOS for several years. I have a wired system connected to my older Amplifier and decided to add SONOS wireless speakers. I purchased CONNECT and BRIDGE, whereupon CONNECT was connected to the Amplifier and I could control everything (the wired speakers and the SONOS speakers) through the SONOS App on my phone. With the release of the S2 controller I decided to upgrade. Neither CONNECT nor BRIDGE is compatible, so I purchased AMP, believing it was a newer replacement for CONNECT. Unfortunately I cannot seem to add my older wired system to my SONOS controlled system. ??? What am I doing wrong? Have I messed up by upgrading?
Hello, I am trying to determine if this configuration will work for my newly refinished basement. I am a long time Sonos fan, and have 6 zones in my upstairs. I would like to setup a 5.1 surround system in the basement and use both ‘Ports” and “S1” speakers as my side and rear surrounds. (Please see attached diagram). However I think you can only select (1) Line-In as a sonos source. I would like to be able to use the 2 Port’s to send the surround channel output to 2 sets of S1’s concurrently. Can I do this?
Will my TV (QN65Q900RBFXZA) allow for Dolby Atmos audio using the OneConnect ARC port? I just ordered the Sonos Arc which supports Dolby Atmos but not sure if my TV is going to become the issue. I've been reading Samsung hasn't released an update for eARC capability. Honestly, I am not sure what the differences between ARC vs. eARC and if it will be an issue.
I just bought an Arc I have a playbar home theater system. What steps do I take to replace it with the Arc?
Hi there, how do new music apps get added to the list that can be played through Sonos speakers? Have an app that i use but can't get it to play via Sonos system.Cheers
I have a large room and want to use the Echo as an additional speaker. Can it be used as a 3rd “Sonos” speaker to boost the Echo 1’s I already have?
I Have symfonisk wifi speakers i can connect the to turntable project T1Phono SB?
Hello there !I have multiple MKV with AAC 5.1 & 7.1 format. Will the Arc be able to decode it and correctly play it on surround One SL as well ?I know it can play AAC music files but these are 2.0, so i’m still wondering…. Thanks a lot to you !
Just updated the app and all my Sonos devices. Now I can no longer control the volume with the magic remote. I have tried reconnecting it as other support questions suggested, but no change. I tried to reset the connection to the TV, and the app reports that it is not connected to a TV - despite playing the sound from the TV fine. Have tried disconnecting and power cycling everything too.
Hello, I recently moved into a new home and the room where my main television is a large rectangle (roughly 32' x 16'). My TV is mounted on the wall halfway on one of the longer walls. With the audio coming from the television the sound gets lost in the room and is extremely difficult to understand dialogue, requiring my wife and I to use subtitles. We are thinking about getting the arc, but have two concerns. With the side walls being so far away, will I really get full use of the sound bar and the ATMOS experience or will I just be overpaying for the same benefits of the beam? Also, will the arc be enough to help fill the room with audio ( and clear up dialogue) or will I need a pair of ones as well? Thanks for any advice.
Here is the issue: My primary TV is attached to the playbar via optical link and it then wirelessly linked to a sub and two play1 surround sound setup via wifi. Recently added a powered hdmi splitter directly to the output Of my DirectTv reciever to add a TV outside so that I can watch sports on both TVs simultaneously. I have old school wired speakers outside connected to a sonos connect amp so I can take advantage of keeping the sound synced both inside and out. When I turn on The outside tv and add the connect amp In the App to the playbar the sound starts to clip and is jittery...cuts out...but comes back rapidly. Any advice on solving the choppy sound while i run 2 tvs?
I haven’t seen anything on the community about the sound quality of two moves being used in a stereo pair and would like to know how they pair matches up to a play:5. I recently purchased two One SLs as a stereo pair and I love how the stereo separation sounds. I’m looking to expand my system to add speakers to my bedroom and main room of my apartment. My options as of now are either are getting a stereo pair of Sonos moves to move between the two rooms as needed or to get a play:5 for the main room and the move for my bedroom and to bring out as needed. I definitely want to get one move to use as an outdoor speaker as needed.
Is there away to tell sonos to recognize subfolders in when setting up Music Library Settings?
I have already connected to the 2.4GHZ network by mistake when I got my new router. I would like to change that to the 5GHZ network with the same password. HOW DO I DO THAT?
As title said. Recently connected music from one laptop and had no issues. Trying to add from a 2nd laptop on same network and cant do it. I have read many threads about the SMB issues and have tried all the fixes detailed in those threads to no avail. Any support would be great. Diagnostic report submitted: 1136617533.Thanks!
For the living room tv area, I will be buying Sonos Arc with subwoofer. As the space I have is big, so I am thinking of connecting 4 Sonos in-ceiling speakers with Sonos Amp. Can I create Surround Sound, Dolby Atmos sound experience with this set up?Alternatively will I get a better experience if I only connect 2 One SLs instead of 4 In-Ceiling speakers?
HiI have a Yamaha RX A830, Playstation 4, Panasonic Plasma 50”, and Apple TV.For now the Yamaha receiver is the central unit for sound. Everything is connected to that in order to get surround from a 5.1 speaker setup.I want to change to a Sonos 5.1 setup with Arc, sub, and 2 One SL.I just want to make sure that I will still be able to get surround from all my sources with the Sonos setup. Can I connect the Sonos to the Yamaha RX A830?
