Hello there 🙂 !

I have multiple MKV with AAC 5.1 & 7.1 format.

Will the Arc be able to decode it and correctly play it on surround One SL as well ?

I know it can play AAC music files but these are 2.0, so i’m still wondering….

I would say you might find it selective.

I have multiple MKV files on a hdd all of which work fine on any other device but if I play them through the ARC some (about 25%) of them play with the centre channel missing so you get the music and background sounds but no main speech.

those that do not work are fine on anything else.
