Can Arc deliver Atmos sound in an open room with 20 feet high ceiling?
So I just got a 2nd hand Sonos Playbase with 2x Play:3 online and it seems like I can’t connect the Playbase on wifi. It works with LAN cable to my router, I can connect it to my sonos app. Now the other problem occur, I can’t connect the surround 2xPlay:3 to the Playbase.I submitted diagnostics report no 2036271214This thing happened to me before with my Beam and 2x Play:1, I connect the beam through cable/LAN port and Play:1 through wifi. The surround system was failed to setup but the app has the name(Beam, Play:1, Play:1) but the surround not outputting sound. I am pretty sure this is bad wifi card on the Playbase, since a lot of this happened in the forum.

How do I manage my Sonos playlists which feature Google Play Music songs, which will soon no longer be available, and migrate them to YouTube Music? Is there a simple solution? Or do I need to go song by song?Any advice will be welcome. Thanks: Mitchell
I bought an arc a few months ago and constantly struggle with connectivity … I’ve changed cables ports even away from arc and back to the arc and it’s a crap shoot which days it will turn on and which days it won’t… it’s tiring me out and feel like I’ve wasted 1000$
What is the best configuration to connect a turntable wireless to more then one Sonos speakers. I have very good broadband and I need some form of pre-amp as there isn’t one built into the turntable
Ok so I have this tv:https://images.app.goo.gl/QjFcokykdKVXwEKSAThe legs are 88cm apart and the beam is sitting in middle with a tv leg 10cm away each side.As you can see the legs aren't massive but the sound still hits some of them.I am considering mounting tv to wall then beam will sit alone on stand and have full freedom.Should I get better sound quality doing this?
HiI recently purchased a Sonos 5.1 set up (Arc, Play 1, Sub ) with the intention of using it primarily for streaming content (I accepted that I wouldn’t get Dolby Atmos as my TV doesn’t have eARC). However what I didn’t realise (until browsing this lovely forum) is that Sonos doesn’t process DTS, so I am limited to Stereo from my Panny 4K Blu Ray). Given I also have a projector in the same room is there an option to add a “unit” (e.g. a basic A/V receiver) to act as a “hub” so that I can have my cake and eat it (i.e. blu ray ->A/V (process DTS to DD)→ TV->Arc and also blu ray ->Projector (video) and also (somehow) to Arc)Or should I just give up and buy an xbox one x and forget about the projector (or give up altogether on Sonos (or something else altogether.. I am keen to listen to any options!) Thanks
I quite like the idea of the Brennan b2Act as NAS to Sonos 5 It has wifi I can rip CD’s at my convenience. Using a computer to do the ripping is less than ideal My computers do not have inbuilt CD reader CD collection downstairs, main computer upstairs What I do not like about the Brennan b2 is that is uses a Raspberry Pi and therefore has its operating system on an SD card. Have had a lot of problems with SD cards corrupted with power outages of which we get a lot.So is there a better alternative?Needs to haveWifi Work with Sonos 5 i.e. NAS Ideally also output to a Speakercraft cs3 either by bluetooth Output via optical
Dear all,This weekend, I bought my ‘dream spreakes’ (Scandyna SmallPod passive speakers) second-hand. A bose amplifier (Bose SoundTouch SA-4) was part of the deal, but I already own a Sonos Connect:AMP (Gen 2, because it's S2-compatible). Because I already miss the ‘Sonos-environment’, I’m curious to know if these four (small) speakers (specifications below) can be connected (simultaneously) to my Sonos amplifier. I've already read a lot online, but I can seem to figure it out. A small side note; I don't put the volume high, I live in a small (noisy) apartment thus only play - low volume - background music. I hope you can help me! The specifications of the spreakers (I really don't no if these are the specifications for just one speaker, or for two - stereo - speakers together):System 2-way, bassreflexApplications Hi-Fi stereo, AV-Home Theatre systemsAmplifier requirement 10 - 100Watt RMSNominal impedance 4 ΩFrequency response 60 - 25.000 Hz ( ± 3dB )Sensitivity 89dB spl ( 2.83V / 1m )
Hi, I have a Sonos system ( 2 Speakers Play:3 and their bridge) today I have noticed that the entire system stopped to work and be connected to the home wireless with no changes to the main internet or wireless connection. Can you please help me to address the issue and reconnect the Sonos system to wireless?Thank you Carmine
Hi, I recently received delivery of a Sonos Arc, I’m enjoying it a lot since. I’ve luckily not noticed either the harsh highs or muddy bass tones, and am quite happy with the sound. One thing I’ve noticed is that often the score to a movie or show is much louder than the rest of sound. I noticed this on a lot of shows during their intro song, but also movies. For example, on Captain America: Civil War on D+ with Atmos, right after they get into the car at the very beginning, the music feels drastically loud compared to everything before. Is this just the dynamic range of the media, or do I potentially have something set up incorrectly?I can turn on night mode to flatten the range, but I figured I’d see if that’s actually necessary. I’ve also tried turning the volume down and using speech boost, but I often don’t like what it does to the sound. Thanks for any help
We are in the process of finalising our plans and builder has suggested we explore option of pre-wiring Sonos for four different zones. House also has provisions for some Cat6. Can provide copy of proposed floor /electrical plan if required
I really enjoy Concert Hall. But could we be given more information about the piece please, the Composer, Piece Name, Movement and Artist would be nice. Thanks
hi all, just got my sonos home theater setup and am very happy with the system. my question is about the surround sound speakers...sonos one. i’m thinking about using speaker stands but i’ve read all the reviews/posts and it seems that there aren’t any speaker stands that keep the ones very secure. anyone have any experience or make a recommendation on stands that would keep the ones secure on a stand? i have kids and dogs and i would rather not take the chance. thx!
My Sonos Beam out of the box will not connect to multiple Samsung TVs through the HDMI Arc or Optical audio ports. When setting up with the TV is states that for the HDMI Arc “A device is interfering with the HDMI connection. Disconnect any other home theater products, then try again.” However there are no other devices connected to my TV, they have all been disconnected. When I try to use the Optical audio port it states that “No signal detected. Make sure the adapter is connected to the HDMI cable and the HDMI cable is connected to your Beam.” All connections are there and for both the HDMI Arc and Optical audio I have used multiple HDMI cables to see if that was the issue that I saw in other threads. Right now I have the most expensive speaker to stream to.
My app states that the date and time is not set. I have been to settings and turned on set time from internet but it turns off again. I am unable to access alarms as it states date and time not set. This problem seems to have resolved itself. It would appear that we had a power cut which might have caused the issue.
Working on a Christmas gift. My son recently purchased a One SL, great speaker. And later purchased a UTurn turntable with built in pre amp. I have been trying to figure out the best option to incorporate his turntable with this speaker. I have been looking at the Five and also the Port. If you connect the turntable to the Five can you also connect the One SL to play music? Or would the Port be the better option? I’m an old guy so please keep it simple lol. So would the Five or Port be a better solution and why. Thank you for time and explanation
Is 7.1 available with Dolby Atmos and Sonos Arc, Amp and set of One’s and sub? Is there a limit of speaker sets in a system?
OK, so I fancy a stereo pair of Fives as my main system, but as far as I know the Five is not Alexa enabled, so if I also have a Move, could I ask Alexa on the Move to play through the Fives? I know I could do this cheaply with an Echo Dot but I fancy a Move anyway, as a portable
Can I connect my passive speakers to Sonos Amp with wire and then connect Amp with PC via analog audio-in (RCA) without having any audio lag?
Hi there,I have a Sonos Arc and Samsung QLED 75Q80T (2020) problem. The sounds cuts out. I can “solve” this by unplugging the Arc. Everything worked for a week and then the problem started. I see that I’m not the only one with this problem. Don’t say it’s a problem Samsung has to solve. The TV audio works. It’s when I connect the Arc that there’s a problem. So Sonos needs to fix this or get in touch with the Samsung people. Please fix this, thank you.Peter
