Ok so I have this tv:

https://images.app.goo.gl/QjFcokykdKVXwEKSA

The legs are 88cm apart and the beam is sitting in middle with a tv leg 10cm away each side.

As you can see the legs aren't massive but the sound still hits some of them.

I am considering mounting tv to wall then beam will sit alone on stand and have full freedom.

Should I get better sound quality doing this?

Any thoughts?

As long as the Beam isn’t sitting behind the TV, the sound quality should be fine.  I would make sure the Beam doesn’t block the TV screen , in which case you may want to mount the TV or raise it up with block s or something like that.

Before you go to a lot of work just try moving the Beam forward a few inches or the TV back.

If you hear a big difference in the sound then look at a permanent solution. I don’t think you will hear anything but to be sure get an assistant and try a single blind test where you don’t look to see where they are sitting and try to tell from just the sound.
