Good afternoonI’ve recently purchased the ARC, Sub (gen 3) and Move and have discovered that you only support 24bit streaming up to 44,000hz or 48,000hz. I have a lot of music that’s in 88,000hz, 96,000hz or 192,000hz (.flac container format) and I can see that this isn’t supported! This is real shame and I’m sure many other customers will feel the same? It would be great if your developers could implement this as soon as possible via a support update?
When I went to remove the Google Play service using the Sonos Windows app, I was prompted for my Sonos credentials. A few questions follow:-Why am I required to authenticate to Sonos to change a local configuration?-Is Sonos storing my services configurations in their cloud? If so, how do I opt-out or disable this?-How do I sign out of the Sonos Windows app?Thx
What type of cord do I need to connect my Sonos Move to the router... what type of cord connection goes into the Move
Hello,Is it possible to disable airplay or add a password to airplay?I do not want that everyone is able to play something on one of the Sonos devices…Thanks!kind regards, Michaël
I need an advice on building a home theater system with Dolby Atmos support... I'm planning to use Apple TV (gen 5) as a source of AV-signal to my Denon AVR-S950H receiver. It has two HDMI HDCP 2.2 outputs with eARC support. I want to use one of them to connect a projector and the second one to connect Sonos Arc. All components support Dolby Atmos and theoretically everything should work, but I'm not sure about that... Does anyone have any thoughts on whether Dolby Atmos will work in this type of configuration?
Hi. After a NAS drive failure I have a new Synology DS120. Easoly visible on network but I cannot get Sonos to find it. On PC i ger acWindows security pop up which I cannot progress beyond and on the app I need to write in the address (browse dors not serm ti be an option). I run S1 system. Is this a Sonos, Synology or network problem?
Hi Everyone,(Sorry for multiple questions, I am still learning about the Sonos & home theater systems in general)We recently moved into a new house and the house has been pre-wired for some ceiling speakers. However the ceiling speakers in the living room are right above where we are putting our couch(against the wall). Could these work for surround setup or will it not be as good and we should consider these for atmos down the line.If its decent for rear surround speakers, can I get a Sonos arc or player base and Sonos amp + 2 sonance ceiling speakers to work as rear surround? would a Sonos subwoofer make a diff in this setup? Also we do have couple of other rooms pre-wired for ceiling speakers, can I connect 2 other speakers to the same amp and configure it as such 1st zone to be Sonos arc + 2 ceiling speakers2nd zone to be 2 ceiling speakers in other roomand then switch zones using the app to play music in different rooms. From what I understand, if this is possible then this won
I actually use a bridge and a connect with my Conrad-Johnson amp, CD player and wired speakers. Should I upgrade to Sonos port and boost? If I upgrade to Sonos port, do I need a bridge or a boost or is the port can be used without a bridge or a boost?
Hi,I would suggest small, but very handy feature: possibility to minimize the Sonos control app into the system tray (Windows). The app is a great music player and it is a pity that it cannot be minimized into the tray to be easily accessible to control music and speakers around. That would be awesome! Best regards.
Since S2 added groups it would be great to add groups in the list of speakers while creating an alarm. I want to select a custom group of speakers that are different than the group I was using during the day. it looks like under Alarm Settings right under “Rooms” you could add “Groups” and there I would find my custom groups. seems simple enough
The Move has Auto TruPlay, which is great for us Android peasants. I recently got an Arc with some Ones and a Sub, and even borrowed an iPod Touch to try to TruPlay that setup, but the iPod isn't supported yet :( Wah wah. My question is... if the Arc and One and Beam etc all have microphones, why can't they be Auto TruPlay themselves like the Move, or like a bunch of other smart home speakers? The excuse for Android devices is that there is no common microphone spec between them, but surely Sonos knows their own devices' microphones...?
I recently bought a Sony PS-LX310BT Bluetooth Turntable with built-in Phono Pre-Amp and am trying to play it directly through a Sonos 5, bought at the same time. Turntable connection is red and white audio out so I bought an adapter to go to a jack which is now plugged directly into the back of the 5 but no sound...any help gratefully received.
Hi everyone, Can I use both S1 & S2 app to control my audio.Anytime when I trying to use S1 app. It direct me to "More option page" and reset app.…Because I have some products not compatible with S2 Thanks
The time has come to replace my AV receiver, I am looking at an Onkyo 696 which has “Works with Sonos” however I have a 7 room S1 system which I have no intention of upgrading to S2. So would anyone know if “Works with Sonos” is S1 app compatible?
Hey Sonos Community. First post. I’m sorry if it’s a duplicate. Tried to search first. For a while now I noticed that the “Group Non-Airplay Products” setting is lacking reliability. Since iOS 14.2 and the new AirPlay interface on iOS devices it seems completely broken: music playback initiated via iOS device via AirPlay 2 does not integrate my non-AirPlay Sonos speakers (a play:1 and a play:3) even though I have a host of devices that support AirPlay 2 (a Play One, and two sets of the IKEA speakers) and the setting is definitely set to “group non-AirPlay products” am I doing something wrong? Am I misunderstanding what this feature does? Ideally I’d like to completely ignore the Sonos app, but it’s not possible currently.
If I group Sonos Move with my Sonos One and my Sonos One SL speakers (total 3 Sonos Speakers Group) would I be able to play audio at unison on all 3 Sonos Speakers group if I play my music or audio via Bluetooth connection on Sonos Move? In other words, would Sonos Move Bluetooth connection allow me to feed music via Bluetooth from any device (phone or tv Bluetooth Audio) and have the sound playing on all 3 Sonos Speaker Group the same way I would be able to play audio on a Sonos Five grouped with 2 Other Sonos One speakers when Sonos Five is receiving audio via 3.5mm input connector?I’m simply trying to create the most affordable Sonos Sound System Grouping to play audio from my phone or tv via Bluetooth instead of the more expensive Sonos Five 3.5mm input connector.
I’m putting a Sunbbrite Tv in an outdoor cabana open to weather so it appears the arc or beam will not work to connect the TV to My Sonos system. Is there a way to connect the Tv to Sonos and what hardware is needed. Maybe the sunbrite sound bar to what device? IAny help appreciated.
My youngest child broke the lamp of my black Ikea Symfonisk Is there any replacement part that I can purchase? I could not find it anywhere…. Is there any site for replacement parts? Many Thanks
Hi there! I have reported this as a potential bug, but I wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this. Ever since upgrading to S2, my iOS controller will not stay connected if the Sonos app is force closed. To reconnect the app, I have to reset the app and join existing system. As long as the Sonos app is not forced closed, all is well. As soon as it’s force closed...issue. I did not have this issue with S1. I have performed the troubleshooting steps which lead me to this observation. It’s been a few days now with no issues since leaving the app open. Thank you for any insight provided.
Will blu-ray discs played on a PS5 work with the Sonos Arc and an LG CX? Is there a DTS decoding issue at hand here?
Hi, How do you connect back to the TV sound through the Sonos app, after it connects to radio, Spotify etc?Only way I can seem to do it is turn my TV off and back on.
Hi, I’ve recently set up my Sonos Arc, I have an LG C8, I know I won’t get true Atmos due to only using the arc port as the C8 doesn’t have earc i tried Netflix and Disney+ programmes but everything on the Sonos app suggested the Arc is in Stereo 2.0 Ive tried changing the TV to Auto and Digital Plus, but neither seem to make a difference has anyone else experienced this? thanks
I only have 1 cat6 home run cable running to my TV area from my internet router. Currently I have it plugged into my TV to give me a hard-wired connection. I would also like to hard-wire my Sonos Playbar at the same location. I noticed my playbar has 2 ethernet ports. Do these two ports on the playbar work like a network switch? In other words, can I plug the cat6 home run cable into one ethernet port on the playbar and my TV that sits above my playbar into the other ethernet port on the playbar and effectively get 2 hardwired connections back to my internet router? See wiring diagram below.
I have an Arc, two Ones and a Sub - all used primarily as audio for our TVIs it better to place the Ones as front surrounds - or as rear surrounds?
I purchased a Sonos Beam unit last week to use in conjunction with my 2013 - Sony Bravia TV model KDL55W900A...the result of this setup is that the Sonos Beam doesn't increase the listening experience with the volume having to be run at around 90/100% to pick up any audio dialogue from my TV. The home [theater] effects enhancement aspect of the Beam doesn't come through. My question is - Is my TV a suitable pairing for your companies Sonos Beam unit?.....I would appreciate some advice.
