Speaker Placement - Sonos Ones at front or rear?

I have an Arc, two Ones and a Sub - all used primarily as audio for our TV

Is it better to place the Ones as front surrounds - or as rear surrounds?

Rear surrounds. That is what the system expects. Your Arc is already playing the 3 front channels.
