I purchased a Sonos Beam unit last week to use in conjunction with my 2013 - Sony Bravia TV model KDL55W900A...the result of this setup is that the Sonos Beam doesn't increase the listening experience with the volume having to be run at around 90/100% to pick up any audio dialogue from my TV. The home etheater] effects enhancement aspect of the Beam doesn't come through. My question is - Is my TV a suitable pairing for your companies Sonos Beam unit?.....I would appreciate some advice.

What is the method of connection you’ve used between the two devices?
When you look at the Audio In line under the Beam’s information in ‘About My System’ in the settings area of the app, what does it say?
Hi Bruce….I’ve reboxed the Beam unit and I’m about to walk my dogs for around two hours…..I’ll respond to your kind reply soon. Thanks.
Hi again Bruce,
The method I used to connect the Beam to the TV was through the use of HDMI - ARC to ARC - ports.….it has “sort” of worked ( after I reset the shebang to factory setting)….saying that the Volume does need to be on at least 75% to hear a dialogue and extra background noises clearly…...is this normal?

No, it certainly isn’t. There’s not a ton of ‘processing’ being done by the Sonos here, but I’d start by doing three things.
First, check the TV for any updates from Sony, and apply them.
Second, unplug the TV from the wall for two minutes, then plug it back in. You’re essentially rebooting the TV, forcing it to reload the Sony software.
Third, I’d unplug both the power and the HDMI cable from the Sonos. While you’re at it, pull the HDMI cable out of the TV’s ARC port, and re-seat it. Wait another two minutes, then plug the Sonos back into power, and plug the HDMI cable in.
If none of these three things ‘fix’ the issue, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic, and call Sonos Support to discuss it, or post the diagnostic number here for a Community Moderator to pick up.
There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.
When you speak directly to the phone folks, there are more options available beyond just the diagnostic analysis.
