Hi Team,I have purchased Sonos Sub woofer for this thanks giving and I love bass with beam speaker.. however I hear same noise from the sub but only when you slow to sub and take ear to it, somewhat like a coil whine or old PC fan sound.. I don’t have any problem with surface and tried changing the place as well but I see the noise coming, If I mute the TV sound i can hear the noise clearly.. I checked the forum and I see many people are reported the same issue.. could you please provide your support to fix it or replacement thanksJay
Hi,l have my Beam placed on mantelpiece above fire in my room. The soundbar is not getting hot. What would be the maximum temperature in order not to do any damage?Cheers.
Hi all, I have x2 Sonos ones sitting on opposite ends of a shelf. Obviously this means two power cables/ plug sockets used. Is anyone aware of a Y type power cable where x2 ones could be powered from one plug? Thanks Anthony (in the U.K.)
I have a system I installed for a client that where I swapped out a sonos one sl black for one that’s white. The room is a master bathroom. The problem I have is that when I tap the group button and then click ‘everywhere’ the room won’t select. I can manually click the room and it works fine from there. But the ‘everywhere’ will neither select or unselect that particular room. I’ve factory defaulted the speaker and added it back using a different name and same results. My app is up to date and Sonos the sonos system. This problem is repeatable on multiple iOS devices. Sonos tech support suggested posting this question to the community. They are stumped apparently.
I have never been so frustrated with an upgrade, my system is now down, there is no way to go back to S1….
I believe that Trueplay will only work if you use the Sonos/Sonance speakers with the Amp, is that correct? If so, how does that work. I think I read that the Amp identifies a unique impedance of the Sonance speakers and enables Trueplay. Is the Sonance speaker and odd impedance? Won’t long runs if small diameter speaker wire increase impedance? I would love to use the Amp with a third party in ceiling speaker, but don’t want to lose Trueplay. Is there anyway to make this happen? If you run 2 sets of speakers off the amp you are running at 4 ohms correct? So each speaker is still seeing 125 watts.. If you use 4 Sonance speakers with one amp, can you still you Trueplay? If you pair a Sonos Sub with the Amp, can you run Trueplay? Anyone have any idea where the crossover point is set when using a Sub with Amp? Thanks all,Steve
There was a thread about this topic, but it is closed for comments. It’s still an issue: Sonos can’t see semi-colons as a delimiter for genres. It is musicologically impossible to fit every piece of music into one genre. That’s absurd. If Sonos loves music, it should address this problem!
This is so frustrating spending so much money last month for the most up to date equipment and not having it work. It did at first but for the last week the S2 app can't connect to the Arc, Sub, or one of the Sonos One SL. The app only finds one of the One SLs. That's it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, reset each device and the router, tried an ethernet cable. WTF
I have had Sonos in my home for years with only minor issues. Over those years I’ve learned how to recognize and remedy the usual network problems that can pop up with Sonos. For maybe the past 2-3 years, since I got my new router, I have all 9 boxes on static IPs and the system has been absolutely rock solid. Root zone is wired to the router. All others are on Sonosnet.I bought a Beam. It arrived Sunday and I am now in Sonos hell. I added it with zero issues. It grabbed an IP address and I reserved that in the router like all the other Sonos devices. I converted my stereo pair of Play 3s to surrounds. Now it appears I have an issue. My app (S1 on iOS) takes anywhere from 10 seconds to up to a minute to display my devices, sometimes displaying just the root zone. I’m also getting other wacky behavior - streams dropping out, zones not responding to volume adjustments, zones continuing to play after I mute them. I’ve killed power to all Sonos boxes, rebooted the router, added th
Hello, been looking through this for ages before finally biting the bullet n asking. so basically my Sonos one and One SL are connected to my wifi but I don’t want to connect my iPhone to wifi just cuz it takes ages to do anything on my phone. I want to know is there a way I can connect my Spotify to my Sonos system, in a way that when I click the stream button my Spotify it comes up as a option if I’m connected to wifi or not
Sonos have just produced an Arc SL for Costco. Adds to my view that the Five should have been named the Five SL...and I'm still waiting vainly for the development of a Five with assistant capabilities.https://www.theverge.com/2020/12/2/22011112/sonos-arc-sl-no-microphone-now-available-costco?fbclid=IwAR0xMr9EjyPewCzQhETbEy7_WN-Aij1Mq_Leac8vtzGuLkt8ajRSdElO7qo
I’m having The same issue I see mentioned on the blog several times about the Sonos arc disconnecting from the Samsung TV . The only remedy is to unplug the HDMI from The Arc and then plug it back in. Not a susataible remedyI’ve already done the most recent update to the Samsung frame TV 2020 version. Any other fix for this as I see it’s a known issue for Sonos?
HiI have a Beam + 2 One and it works great with the TV.I listen to a lot of music and I am considering an Amp with two nice speakers and also with the TV. So I will have two scenarios A) for Movies/TV and B) for music with the TV off. I will move the Beam for use elsewhere as I believe it wont work with the amp?.So my setup would be TV + Amp for front L+R and 2x Ones for rear surroundMy question is - if I can using the amp for just stereo/hi-fi via Spotify, do the rear speakers participate? Is it possible to set the Amp to be just Stereo (2 channel) for music and then surround when the TV is on ?Thanks in advance.
I need to cancel an order. I understand it’s a very busy time of year but I have waited on hold four times for over an hour each (gave up) and one time was hung up on while waiting. I used the cancel my order link in my email but still no response. Can anyone here help me?Again, I get what time of year it is but not having extra staff to handle everything or even a support chat option seems crazy.Thanks.
Hi, I’m looking for some help and advice. I’m about to buy a Pro ject T1 phono turntable as a Christmas present and have see from the site that it is compatible with the Five, Play:5, Amp, Port, Connect, Connect:Amp, none of which I have (I have a Play1 and Play 3) and so I was planning on buying one of these as well.I’ve since seen in another conversation that a Sonos Move is an option for the turntable. So can somoene confirm, if I purchase a Move with the turntable, we’ll be able to connect and listen on Christmas Day and it wont be a major anti-climax because I’ve ought the wrong thing….Thanks you!G
Hi,I use an Apple TV with an older TV without HDMI ARC and a Sonos Beam. I have already settled on Airplay being the option I most like to get the audio from the Apple TV to the Beam (see here for reasons). However I was wondering about somehow getting HDMI ARC into the system. Technically I think it should be possible to produce an HDMI splitter, which takes HDMI as input from the Apple TV and splits it into HDMI for the TV and HDMI ARC for the Beam. CEC commands would have to go to both devices.Such a device would basically retrofit an older TV with an HDMI ARC port.It seems there are HDMI ARC adapters, like this one, which in combination with an HDMI splitter could do the job. Neatest would be to have it in one box, but I could not find any.Is anyone here using such a setup?Regards, Robert

I’ve been trying to listen to the BBC Sounds app (from an iOS up to date iPhone) but I have struggled to get anything to work/connect whatsoever …. am I supposed to be able to make this happen does anyone know?Stevie T. (UK)
Can I undo an update? My sonos products will no longer work. And they were working perfectly until i updated…
Hello, I ordered some days ago a sonos move lunar white from the website and a couple of days ago the status changed from "Backorder" to Dispatch Acknowledged" . Can you please tell me what does this mean?
Sonos, I would like to better understand a proper shipping date for the Arc. I placed my order over a month ago, and everytime I check your website it moves back a month. I now see January 15th, 2021. I have emailed multiple times with no reply from you all, I am very frustrated with zero communication from your company. I would like a CONFIRMED date please for the shipping of the arc that can be kept to and doesn't move back monthly, or I will just cancel my order. Please confirm. Ben.
Come on SONOS sort out this problem. It’s a disgrace that you have cut loose all those customers that have perfectly good old gen equipment. The very least is that you continue to offer the ability to use our equipment and search for Radio and other content. I fully expect a canned response and zero help, but I’m going to ask the question anyway.
Hi everyone,I am 55 years old and have suffered from tinnitus for years. In my living room where I watch TV and listen to music (which helps with the tinnitus) I currently have the Sonos 5.1 setup with a playbar, a pair of Play 1s and a Gen 2 sub together with a Boost. I am considering upgrading to an Arc (to go with my new Samsung 55inch TV) and upgrading the Play 1s to a pair of Fives. Does anyone have this set-up? Is it a good balance between surround sound TV and music? Or is it overkill? My wife often complains about me having to turn the volume up - will the Arc and 5s allow better volume control at lower volumes? Or will the sound be deafening?
I am unable to connect this speaker to my wifi network. I live in a care home and I have no access to the router, so I am unable to use an Ethernet cable. I have tried everything, including resetting the speaker several times. No dice. This is the result I get. On doing what it says the system tab is greyed out. Looking at the wifi network, I can’t see the sonos attached.
