I am incredibly frustrated with SONOS. I was at a friends house who had a new SONOS 2. It made me download SONOS 2 to use system. Now I am back in my house with SONOS 1 components and it does not recognize my system. When you open Sonos 1 app, it shows my system for a split second, and then reverts to Sonos 2 screen saying it does not recognize network. This is such a ridiculous business strategy. It seems like you created forced obsolescence of your older components that worked perfectly fine!
Bonsoir, Je souhaite fixer mes enceintes SONOS ONE SLau mur et j’hésite entre deux possibilités la fixation murale Sanus et la fixation murale fexson. Quelques conseils svp. Bonne soirée.
Had it working but apparently not with my email account, added 2 SL’s and can’t get the bass and playbase to play in sync
Hi. Started to get a crackling sound on loud scenes on my Sonos ARC, which is a few months old.Happened a lot today when watching ‘Journey 2 The Mysterious Island’ on Netflix TV app. Dolby Digital PlusSubmitted a diagnostic whilst it was happening - number 835660432Look forward to your help
I am messing around with my new Beam and decided to try them with a pair of Play3s that I have in my Kitchen. I added them as surrounds, and set the music playback to “Full”. It seems like they are both pushing out the same mono signal. Is this by design or can I make them play in stereo without uncoupling them from the Beam and setting them up as a pair? Thanks people.
I have had Sonos for years and have Sonos 1 and signed up for YouTube Music a month ago. Recently have been getting: "Error getting stream URL for track." and only one song in a playlist would play. I then deleted Google Play Music since I had signed up for You Tube Music thinking that may be the problem. Now all the songs in all playlists are grayed out and a circle with bar through it in front of each song. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Thanks.
Hi FriendsHere’s a question that I can’t seem to find the answer to elsewhere: If I have two Sonos Moves stereo paired, how do I quickly unpair them and take just one out on the deck? Obviously I don’t want just the right or the left channel playing when I take one of them with me:-) Could I just pres the bluetooth button and that would seperate them? And would they then pair again when I go back on wifi? I hope this question makes sense. Kind regardsMads
I’ve kept my system on the S1 software because I think the S2 software isn’t yet mature and there are no compelling reasons to change. When I try to add a Connect the Controller says it needs to update. When I take that option I’m offered only the S2 app … that I don’t want. There’s no other option. It’s a really simple need: I just want to add a Connect to an existing S1 system. Before anybody asks, yes all my hardware (including the extra Connect) is S2 compatible. But no, I don’t want to migrate to S2.
So, I’ve had my Sonos system for a few years and recently had nothing but problems with it. On my partners phone all three of our devices show up (Sony) and on my iPhone I only get 2 of our three devices. Both logged into the same system. Ive restarted all devices, disconnected them from the system and rejoined them but it still won’t appear on my controller. the missing speaker works fine on his device but I can’t even see it when I search for new devices. two Sonos One devices appear on my phone but not my PLAY:3 any ideas? Fed up of the unpredictability with the system.
Hi everyone, I've recently added two ones to create a suround sound for my television (I already had a beam and sub). First week it's been fine and then last night I settled down to watch The Mandalorian and to my horror only the beam was working. I have tried connecting all my speakers through an ethernet, I get the system working and as soon as I unplug, the other speakers disconnect. This is what I see. Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks
Hi, I have just purchased and set up a new Sonos Beam to my Samsung smart TV. I have linked the Samsung remote to the Beam and this seems to be working OK. I have also linked my two separate Sonos Ones to the Beam as surround speakers and they are also working OK, but only with the Sonos app. However, the Samsung remote (BN59-01315B) only seems to work with the Beam and has no effect on the One’s at all which stay the same volume, irrespective of whether I increase or decrease the Beam volume?I appreciate the Ones are primarily for a ‘surround’ effect but this means I that either I can’t hear them at all (when the Beam volume is increased), or they remain on when when the Beam volume is muted or turned down.Is there any way to resolve this, either via the Sonos app or via reconfiguring the Samsung remote.Any help much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi! Help! I am starting to loose my mind here. For approx. the last year, I have had the same problem with my surround setup. Every time I try to add the 2 play:1's, it says there were a problem adding the surround speakers, and I need to check my internet connection, and that the products are turned on.But after this message, it seems in the app like it has been paired. But there isn't coming any sound from the rear speakers at all. When I disconnect the rear speakers from the surround setup, they both play music just fine. I have tried this a bunch of times, and it seems to work once in a while, but then the rear speakers stop playing after some weeks. My setup is the Beam with 2 play:1. My router is in the same room, and the brand is "Tecnicolor".The diagnostic number I created is 1266293371. I hope you can help 😊
Hi!I already own 2 Sonos Ones plus a Beam, and recently got a Pro-Ject Debut Recordmaster turntable with Pre-Amp. Debating between the Port and the Five to hook up my turntable to my Sonos ecosystem. Which will give me the best quality + bang for my buck? Can I use the Five together with the Ones and Beam? Extra info: I live in a small studio apartment - 400 sq feet/ 40 square metresAs it’s Black Friday, there are some deals to profit from (though not particularly great for either the Five or the Port)
Hi, just picked up a new Arc SL. I already control my TV and do all my streaming via Amazon Fire TV cube, so didn’t see the need for built in voice assistant. I got the Arc set up and it works well when I am streaming video via my Fire Cube from Netflix/ Disney/ Hulu. However, when I try to stream music via my Fire Cube, there is suddenly no sound from the Arc. I was under the impression that the Sonos Arc would play anything that was was input over the HDMI arc connection (I.e. if it’s on my TV and outputting via HDMI arc, it should be playing on the Sonos). Is this correct, or is the Sonos arc actively determining which input material it will play (I.e. it will play sound for streaming video, but will deny sound from streaming audio).I understand I can play Amazon music via the Sonos app, but want to understand why the Amazon Music which is on my TV is not playing over the Sonos.
Apple Music song library won’t queue after playing either an album or playlist from Apple library...it simply adds song to the album played as the album is the current queue unless I clear it...then the new queue is limited to the song(s) selected, and not a queue fro the entire song library….help?...something simple I’m missing here?...I’m a new Sonos user...many thanks
I had some issues recently where I couldn’t find 2 of my 4 Sonos One speakers. Got that squared away but now I can’t adjust the volume from the app like I used to. If I move the volume control up or down nothing happens. The music is playing but the volume can’t be adjusted from the Sonos app.
I don’t know when it started to happen but I only started realizing 1-2 months ago that the playbase’s sound is lower than my Samsung TV speaker at max volume by 1 or 2 clicks(using clicks as measurement. Each clicks represents you tapping the volume up or down on the playbase physically). I don’t think my TV is supposed to be louder than my playbase at max volume… can someone please tell me what I should do? I tried AirPlay on my phone too see if it was the TV’s fault and the playbase produced the same level of volume as when I test it through the TV… I am not sure
Hi community,I bought a Sonos base to stop my speakers dropping out. Which is working. However my move, which I know it’s not on the same base network, continues to drop out. It defaults to the weak wifi signal. How do I change its default wifi to the stronger signal, which differs from the base/other speakers. thanks heaps
I have playbar sub and two Sonos one’s. my question is can I add two more Sonos one’s to my setup, and will they be surround or main speakers….
I recently purchased the Sonos Playbar at the Costco Store. I have a question when I click the remote “off” to turn the TV off will it also turn off the Soundbar.
This topic is older and might not have the most up to date information. Please click here to see a list of more topics around the same subject. There are tons of posts about how to stream computer audio to Sonos, almost all of which say you can't, or that you have to use a line-in approach with a Connect. I just did it wirelessly in less than five minutes and $0. Note this is only for Windows, and has a several-second delay, so it won't help with video or games, but audio is just fine. I know there is something similar for Mac, but I have not tried it, and have heard it might have issues. Download and install Stream What You Hear (https://www.streamwhatyouhear.com/download/). Launch the app using the Start menu shortcut. Right-click on the app’s icon in the system tray. Go to Tools > HTTP Live Streaming. Copy the on-screen URL. Open the Sonos app. Go to Manage > Add Radio Station. Paste in the URL and give the link a name. Click OK.(Full details from a site I found on Google;http
Hi all. I have Tidal which has hi res audio. How can I tell if this is being streamed now via the S2 app? Cheers Tim
Is there any way to force the hardware keys ons 1 of the speakers to control the group volume?its so frustrating that this only changes the volume of the speaker you touch.I know that i can change it via the app, but i don’t want to search for my phone and start the app every time i want to change the volume...
I am trying to set the correct line-in level of my Sonos Fives when listening to vinyl.I have a Pro-Ject X1 turntable. My previous cartridge, a Pick It S2 MM, had a relatively high output voltage of 7 mV and I had set my RIAA (a Pro-Ject Tube Box S2) to the lowest possible gain of 40 dB, and then set the input level of the Five’s line-in to 1 or 2. Higher than that and I started hearing distortion. My new cartridge is a Sumiko Moonstone and it has a much lower output voltage of 3 mV, so I need to up the gain a bit. But it would be nice to know the sensitivity voltage of the Five’s amp so I can calculate the appropriate gain of my RIAA as well as selecting the optimal input level of the line-in. Does anyone here have that kind of technical insight?
