My wall mounted 75” TV protrudes 4-1/4” from the wall. I am planning on wall mounting my Sonos Arc Ultra underneath using Sonos wall mount bracket which is essentially flush to the wall. Will the upfiring speakers be affected (will I have enough clearance) ?
Got just a simple question.Latest app iOS version… how does Sonos developers continue to screw crap up? Once again a new update, once again connections screwed up. Rinse repeat. sincerely, Irritated user
Gday all from Australia I recently purchased an Arc Ultra (placed under the TV - just not pictured) which has been great. Looking at adding either sub mini/4 along two era 100s?Looking for advice and placement on the basis that the space is living/dining/kitchen. (7m x 6m) Where would you place the tears? Also looking to place some speakers outside in the covered alfresco area. Any advice here is appreciated.
Whenever I ask voice control to play a song it plays a different one. I tried rebooting it but it still doesn’t work. If anyone knows how to fix it please share it with me!🤔🙏
i have a pair of sonos 5 and a pair of sonos 1;s i have put the 1;s and the 5’s in the same room then bonded the two rooms together so that i can have them working together...but is their a way to connect the 5;s to the 1;s directly and not through grouping rooms
Bottom line: Connect ALL Sonos speakers directly to Wi-Fi if you have a strong Wi-Fi 6 mesh network.Don’t connect ANY speakers to Ethernet, as often recommended for older Sonos speakers like Play:1. This solved my problems with speakers dropping out of a large group and made older Sonos speakers more responsive while grouped with newer Sonos speakers. The details: Sonos Performance Tip: When Not to Use SonosNet (WM:0) Setup Summary: ~10 Sonos speakers (mostly Play:1 and some newer models) No speakers wired to Ethernet A Boost was available but unplugged Strong Wi-Fi 6 mesh network (e.g., eero, TP-Link, etc.) 1 Gbps fiber internet Findings:After trying both SonosNet (WM:0) and Wi-Fi mode (WM:1): SonosNet made performance worse in this setup — more dropouts and instability Switching all speakers to WM:1 (Wi-Fi) resulted in clear improvement Boost was unplugged, and no speakers were wired via Ethernet — relying purely on the mesh Wi-Fi proved more stable Takeaway: If you
This is worth a read for anyone who still has problems and is still checking the community in the hope that things will improve.https://9to5mac.com/2025/05/12/sonos-ceo-says-the-company-didnt-understand-the-real-world/I’m still not sure that they get how frustrating their negligence has been for some users but it looks like they are aiming to get every feature back in this financial year so end of September 2025. Moderator edit:Google Translate-Hi, I've noticed that whenever I'm not playing music, videos, or anything with sound, my phone starts disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. It happens the second I'm not listening to something, and I'm getting a little tired of this happening. Can anyone give me a solution, or is my product defective?
Really effecting my decision to purchase more speakers. 😔
Room designations in the app do not stay fixed. How to fix?
Hello Community MembersThis is a step by step visual tutorial on how to set an Alarm with Music (in the Sonos App) to wake up to; or as reminder, using your favorite tune. Chimes are set by default. There are a few assumptions made. Such as that you’ve already added at least one (1) music service. This guide is very granular meaning although there are eighteen (18) steps listed many are intuitive. However, rather than leave anything to chance all steps are presented for completeness. One of the steps involves selecting a music station of your choice. It can be a “Sonos Favorite” you've already set up in the app; or you can use the “Search” feature to select a station, genre, song or artist. If you already have a music station set under Sonos Favorites; that you’d like to use as an alarm, you can skip to Step 8. At the end of this tutorial there are also steps on how to “delete” an alarm. It is hoped that you find this tutorial useful and that it enhances your enjoyment of Sonos.D
The Sonos S2 (and S1) app on macOS crashed instantly at launch. This issue was previously raised by @Dikon:I had a similar bugreport stating:Error Formulating Crash Report: dyld_process_snapshot_get_shared_cache failed ChatGPT suggested that rosetta 2 runtime was failing.Rosetta Runtime Crash:The crash occurs in the Rosetta runtime itself (/usr/libexec/rosetta/runtime), which means the Intel (x86_64) version of the Sonos app failed to launch correctly through Rosetta. If rosetta 2 was broken I should try to install/verify the rosetta installation with the following command:/usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-licenseIn my terminal it printed the following lines:2025-05-02 21:54:08.736 softwareupdate[34584:868348] Package Authoring Error: 072-08244: Package reference com.apple.pkg.RosettaUpdateAuto is missing installKBytes attributeInstall of Rosetta 2 finished successfully I am sure Rosetta 2 was already installed on my mac, but it did fix the broken runtime. The app
I have been using Sonos controller to play my iTunes playlists on Sonos. I’ve been using it for over two years. Suddenly only a handful of old playlists (some not even on iTunes at this time) are showing in Sonos music library. None of my recent playlists show up when I update the music library. After looking for solutions, I tried to export the .xml file for the playlist BUT the .xml files are now showing up as Microsoft Edge html files. Is that why Sonos does not recognize them??? The path to the iTunes music folder is correct but the playlist and library files in that folder are html not xml. If I open the file in notepad it looks like the correct .xml file but will not save as an xml file. Is there anyway to fix this and get my playlists back on Sonos??? Thanks
This topic was closed without resolution but I have a comment which may help others as I got mine to work.
Hello, I have the sub ultra arc, the Sub4 and two era 300. They are set as a surround system under home theater. I have a surround system when. Watching my cable. Channel on TV everything works perfect. When I am on youtube, Netflix or other app only the ultra Arc sub works and the Sub 4. The two eras 300 silent remain silent. I called the the tech support but they could not fiz the issues. While I have a different set up upstairs the arc and the five and sub3 work perfectly even when watching youtube, Amazon etc. Who can help me seolve this issue? It is very frustrated especially when the tech cannot fix it
Hiya, I’ve contacted Sonos regarding an issue, they’ve said it’s best if we do a replacement once we receive the faulty product, I’ve contacted support 4 times to receive my pre paid shipping label, I haven’t got anything, this is a joke, it’s like you lot purposely not sending me a return label. Your customer service is the worst. every time I contact support, all they say is we re sent the email and just flogg me offAll you guys wanna do is take money, and not help. My system Beam (gen 1) Sub (gen 1) 2 x ERA 100 as surround speakers also a Move. Happy with the music playback of my system but thinking of 2x Sonos 5 as dedicated front facing stereo focused HiFi audio -a more conventional sound stage (If that makes sense)I assume this will work but then would i have to deselect the other speaker components (Beam and ERA 100s) manually each time i just want to play music, and similarly when operating as TV home cinema would i then need to revert to the Beam/Sub/ERA 100s each time?Incidentally (i know these questions are asked regularly) are the Fives that good? thanks
Not sure this exists but would really like to see it.Just be able to suspend, not disconnect or unpair, Era 300s and Sub from home theater setup. Mainly due at night when playing a game, it be nice to only have lower volume sound come from just the Arc Ultra.
I find it is impossible in practice to use the Beam (Gen 1) connected to my recently purchased LG OLED TV through the ARC socket. If I want to switch to Bluetooth headphones, the connection lasts for a few seconds before the Beam snatches it back. If, on the other hand, I connect my DVD player via HDMI, the TV tells me that I cannot use the ARC connection. The answer has been to use the optical out connection and everything seems to work perfectly. I can leave them all connected and they function when required. However, I obviously lose some functionality although I have been able to make the volume controllable by the LG remote. Do other people have the same experience? Who do I “blame” for this? Is it something about the Beam or is it that LG have not developed an ARC that functions with all possible connected equipment?
I'm using a Sonos Beam Gen 2 + Era 100 rear speaker. The placement of my speakers varies greatly during the day and night time. Because I move my speakers to the bed at night. But as you know, Trueplay is too loud. So I was always very psychologically uncomfortable at night because I think I'm hurting the person next door to me. So I've been exploring if there's a way to save Trueplay's multiple profiles and found it's not possible. But instead I found a great alternative! If you have another smartphone, before starting Trueplay, you can set the start volume of Trueplay through another smartphone!Trueplay sets the default volume value to 50 in the immediate message warning you that you will start the test tone. You can change this default volume as much as you want. Increase or lower it. So if you have to play Trueplay when the surroundings are noisy, you can raise this, and if you have to play Trueplay when you have to be quiet like me, you can lower this.In the case of Advanced Truepl
I have the Samsung theframe tv and I used to see the volume control number where I am at. When I added Sonus arc to the system I no longer see the volume number and now I just have to rely on the sound I hear to control the volume. How do set it up so that I will see the volume control number again.
