I'm using a Sonos Beam Gen 2 + Era 100 rear speaker. The placement of my speakers varies greatly during the day and night time. Because I move my speakers to the bed at night. But as you know, Trueplay is too loud. So I was always very psychologically uncomfortable at night because I think I'm hurting the person next door to me. So I've been exploring if there's a way to save Trueplay's multiple profiles and found it's not possible. But instead I found a great alternative!

If you have another smartphone, before starting Trueplay, you can set the start volume of Trueplay through another smartphone!

Trueplay sets the default volume value to 50 in the immediate message warning you that you will start the test tone. You can change this default volume as much as you want. Increase or lower it. So if you have to play Trueplay when the surroundings are noisy, you can raise this, and if you have to play Trueplay when you have to be quiet like me, you can lower this.

In the case of Advanced Trueplay, as you know, the test tone plays twice. The default volume changes to 50 in the previous message warning that the first test tone will play, and the default volume changes to 50 again in the previous message warning that the second test tone will play. So you can see with your eyes that the volume default has changed to 50 before the test tone starts, and you can change the volume before you start the test tone.

Before practicing this useful tip, there are two things to note.
1. Don't change the volume when the test tone plays, I mean, the test tone should play at a consistent volume, otherwise the measurement will not be done accurately.
2. If you set the volume of the test tone too low, you may be prompted to re-perform the test tone, so lower the volume properly.

Hello @Blue Windy, welcome back!

I’m glad you’ve found a way to adjust the volume while doing a Trueplay tuning, using a second controller.

I’ve marked this thread as a feature request for the ability to save multiple Trueplay tuning profiles and forwarded it to the appropriate teams for consideration.

Thank you for the post and I hope other users of our Community will find your advice helpful.
