How can I setup the sonos playbar without connecting to a TV (temporary) ? I go through the configuration wizard for connecting playbar, but it asks to connect to TV.

Guys, I have an event tonight and would like to use a microphone and have the sound output from my Sonos speakers. Two questions: (1) Do I have a special type of mic (2) How do I connect mic to the Sonos system I currently have a play bar, sub, 2 Play 1s and 1 Play 5. I also have two regular plug in microphones... Help! - Julius

Ripped some xmas CDs into iTunes. Worked. Updated "Music Library" on windows 10 Sonos controlled. Worked Stuck on how to now get these new CDs visible to "Music Library" on my Android Sonos controller. I'm in the "manage music library" and am not sure what to do next....

Evening all, Just wondering if this would be possible.... Away in the caravan, with no wifi. Could I create a wireless network using my iPhone, connect the Play 1 to that network, then stream from my iPhone/iPad to that network? There's no such thing as a stupid question, just a stupid person, so go easy on me. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a Mac run-on El Capitan and I have what I think is a firewall problem using Sonos. When I load the Mac Sonos Contoller I get a box that says 'Do you want the application “Sonos.app” to accept incoming network connections?' with Deny or Allow options. Clicking on Allow attaches to my music OK. If I turn the Firewall off then this box does not appear. I have my Firewall set up correctly as per Sonos guidelines with Block all incoming connections not checked and Sonos App included to accept incoming connections. I've tried reinstalling the Sonos Controller software and deleting/readiing my Music share which is on a NAS. As far as I know I have changed nothing to cause this and it just started happening yesterday.

I know that all Sonos products don't have this feature in their streaming capability but I thought that maybe because the Play:5 has a headphone Jack that it doesn't need to do all the high-res digital to analog conversion as that's all done by the source already... Would someone be able to confirm this? Because if so - I may go get a Play:5. :P

Hi everyone, I just purchased a couple of SONOS PLAY 1 in Spain (which is where I live). I am planning to complete befroe end of the year my SONOS System with one more SONOS PLAY 3 and a SONOS: CONNECT, to be bought from UK, where they are certainly cheaper. My questions are: 1) Would these components bought abroad (UK) work properly in Spain? 2) Would any adaptation be needed (power cord, power adaptor, I guess...)? 3) Would be there any incompatibility issue between components bought in different countries as UK/Mainland Europe? Thank you to anyone who could help me decide!!! Best wishes to all the community! :$

I absolutely love the Sonos Windows and Android apps and my new 5.1 and other Play speakers. You did an excellent job on this system! I also want to listen to all the great music sources while working at my PC and don't always want to bother everyone else turning on the real speakers (I develop Windows software at home). Please create a new "Play:Win" device that can be a Sonos "Room" which can send audio to any of the Windows Playback devices. E.G. headset, speakers, digital audio S/PDIF 5.1 etc. same as how a user can select audio playback output on a PC. You can build a Windows device driver to do this. This way I can use my local USB headset and you don't need to come out with those wireless headsets quite so soon. I don't want to have to also run WinAmp or Kodi or something to play my local FLAC files that I can already play via Sonos reading my NAS drive. And I want to use the great features in the Sonos app for internet radio, playlists, favorites etc. which would

Hi All First post....I had a BOOST wired to my router and 4 other PLAY:1's scattered around the house, all using SONOSNET. Everything working ok, and on the Network Matrix I see that the BOOST is the root bridge, and all other units are secondary nodes. Yesterday, I received the new SKYQ hub so switched everything off, installed the new hub, then turned things back on, starting with the BOOST first. Again, everything is working ok and the Network Matrix looks healthy. However, I can now see that the BOOST is a secondary node, and the other units are now tertiary nodes. The root bridge has disappeared. If i go to http://XXX.XXX.X.X:1400/status/showstp I can see that the designated root is the IP address of my new SKYQ hub, so looks like that is the new root bridge. I'm not worried as everything appear to be working ok, but just wondered out of interest why that has happened?

My brand new Samsung RF remote will not control the volume on my Sonos Playbar. Is there any way around this?

The visual aspects and the options are very poors and the way it manages the library is the worst intuitive and usable ways to run...Please tell SONOS if you are agree.

I want to use play 1 with existing Soundbar. set up suggests I need a left and right, so 2. I may also sometimes put it in another room for music. Can I use one play 1 with sound bar AND can I change location and set up of play 1 within my home. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Is there anyway to adjust the volume really low, I want to have my Play:1 on when I go to bed but I can't adjust down the volume low enough through my iPhone 6S Plus.

I just finished purchasing and setting up my Sonos amps and bridge (well, my installer did it, actually) and I am trying to load the music from my ReadyNasNV+ into the Sonos desktop software. My NAS has approximately 90,000 FLAC files, all properly tagged and in redbook resolution. Sonos is very slow to load, and ultimately only a few of my folders showed up in the library. I received the following error message in the log: Wednesday, June 26, 2013 - 11:11 AM Eastern Time Not enough Sonos player memory to complete index of '//NAS-01-3A-DA/media/Music'. A partial index has been stored. After some further reading on this site I noted that there is apparently a limit of 40,000 songs. Sonos claims it can handle large music libraries, so why is the limit only 40,000? Granted, most people don't have 1.6 TB of FLAC files, but I had absolutely no problem streaming all of them using my old Squeezebox system. I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with Sonos. Why on earth is there

Hi, I installed my Playbar today and as it turns out only HDMI 2 returns sound via the playbar. All other devices (not on HDMI 2 don't. If I switch a device to HDMI 2 that device works. Is someone also experiencing the same problem or maybe has a suggestion or fix? Thanks!

sorry

Just bought an additional Gen2 Play 5 and created a stereo pair. Went to tune the speakers and the app stated that it wasn't compatible. I'm on an iPhone 6S+ running iOS 10 Beta 7 since I actively develop apps for apple. The only anomaly I can see is the beta software so I just wanted confirm that the trueplay feature doesn't work with iOS 10.

I get a error message when trying to configure Trueplay with my iphone7.

Surprised that I can use TruePlay with the iPhone 7 Plus.

Hi, i have upgraded to iPhone 7 recently. Understand that i cannot perform True Tuning due to iPhone7/IOS 10 is currently not supported yet. May i know if there is a software update coming soon? Thanks.

Are there plans for Sonos to go beyond the 32 device limitation? I'm looking to set up a large Sonos network of possibly 50+ components.

When we did some house construction three years ago, we had an A/V guy set up a Sonos system and a new Samsung TV. We opted not to get a full home theater, so he installed a CONNECT:AMP (I believe) and hooked it up to some in-ceiling speakers. But he didn't or couldn't connect the TV to those same speakers at the time, and never came back as he had said he would to wrap up the installation. (We won't be using that same company ever again.) Question 1: Can I run the Samsung audio through the CONNECT:AMP to the existing ceiling speakers? If the answer is NO, I will consider buying a Playbar, but that leads to Question 2: Reading the Playbar manual, it says that all components of my system (cable box, modem/router) have to be connected directly to the TV for it to work properly. I have an Xbox One controlling my TV and cable box. How does the Playbar fit in such a system? Thanks.
