I tried to take my move to the park to play music but it wouldn’t connect to my phone. The move works fine at my house.
Hello, It’s so frustrating that I cannot connect my regular Sonos Move to the new Sonos App. While the Sonos Move device appears listed on the App along with my other Sonos products, which I ‘tick’ it to stream music to the Move, the App say “Unable to Connect. Please try again later.” This never used to happen in the older app and I have been using the Move without a problem since 2019 on the earlier App. My internet network, bandwidth all is the same and I checked there are no updates required on the Move or the new App. I don’t want to use Bluetooth on Move for various reasons! I am in Australia and when I call the Sonos Australia helpline number, the wait is for more than 2 hours everytime I called! Can anyone PLEASE help me!! Thanks heaps!
I've noticed a bug with the new app in combination with my Roam SL. On the album page of my streaming service (Deezer in my case), when I hit the play button, in some cases, it will start playing the music in the queue, instead of the album. If I press the play button again, it might start the correct album. I haven't noticed this with any of my other Sonos products.Added a screenshot to illustrate what button I'm talking about. Circled in red.Hypothesis: the button calls on two functions. First replace the queue, second start playing the queue. When the first operation fails, the second is still called.
My Sonos doesn’t connect to my iPhone Sonos app, it seems to be connected to TV though..
Hi, I have a Sonos move and a roam and keep having connectivity issues when I’m trying to use them both. They both work fine but when trying to add one to the other a prompt appears saying “unable to connect.”I never had this issue before the recent app update please get this patched soon. Thank you
I have a Sonos Arc with sub and a LG OLED TV.With the new Sonos headphones, will I be able to listen to TV sound thru headphones while my wife still listens to TV sound thru the Arc soundbar at the same time?

Hi. After getting a new iPhone, I am trying to reset my three devices (2X1’s and a first generation move). They do not want to comment. I do a system reset, the internet finds the speakers and sometimes even says they are set up, but nothing actually adds to my Sonos app. Been trying and off for a few days now. Can anyone please help.
Hi,I believe a Roam2 in sleep state (not fully powered off) should wake when the Sonos App is opened, but this is not happening for me.I’ve just bought the Roam2, so after the new app update.Looking at older posts regarding the original Roam, on the original app, the Roam would wake on opening the app. Also, people have referred to the old app indicating that the Roam is ‘offline’, with a red dot, when it is sleeping or powered off.Using the new app, I am not seeing this. The Roam2 disappears from the device list completely when sleeping or powered off and only reappears in the app when woken by physically pressing the power button or placing on charge. This is really inconvenient as I want to wake it up and send music to it while I am in a different area of the house. I don’t want to deactivate battery save because this would drain the battery far more quickly for the times I am not actively using the speaker.Any solutions or is this yet another problem with the new app vs the old one?
Now that I have my new Frontier Fiber with Eero Pro 6 mesh connected and all my Sonos are up and running do I need Boost anymore?
Why do you call a product ROAM if I can’t leave the house with it?!App needs to be updated!!I move around a lot and bought the Roam speaker so that I could take all the great features of the Sonos system I have at home on the road with me. This whole factory reset procedure just because I’m on a hotel WiFi ,a network I can’t change the SSID of, is completely ridiculous. I own Bluetooth speakers that will not play music while I’m doing other things on my phone that cost 1/3 or less than this.
Is the Roam 2 battery replaceable?Roam 1 battery was a shocker lasting 18 to 2 yrs only.
Hello, Before buying the Sonos Move 2, I would like to know if can send from an audio software on Mac a quadraphony or 4 independent mono channels to 4 Sonos Move 2?Is it possible or how would it be possible to do this via Wifi or even with the adapter Line In to each of the 4 Sonos Move 2? How?Many thanks,Best,Christophe
I recently had to replace my Roam unit with a new one. It setup in “my system” just fine and works great. The problem is that the old unit still shows in the app and I want to delete. How to do?
I own 2 homes with a Sonos system in each home. I have recently purchased a roam speaker and connected it to the Sonos system in 1 home. Can I take this same speaker to the second home and connect it to that network without deleting the connection to the network in home number 1?
I am trying to connect my Sonos Move (1st gen) to my existing Sonos system. In the app, my Move shows in the system list of devices but it says “Not registered”. So I click on Fix It and follow all the steps. But always get the following messages during setup: ”There was a problem linking your Sonos Move to your account.”“There was a problem adding your Sonos Move to your system. Try again later.““We couldn't link your Sonos Move to your account. Check your Wi-Fi connection and try again later.”“Your Sonos Move has been added. Audio playback will be available once this product is updated and linked to your account.“ And then nothing. It just says contact supportI have done the following: Run the setup process several times Factory reset the Sonos Move Restarted my phone Rebooted my WiFi Deleted and re-installed the appNothing works. The device is connected to the power supply. Would greatly appreciate some help with this.
Saludos comunidad , tengo la duda si se puede dejar conectada la sonos roam a la corriente para que siempre esté disponible para reproducir contenido? Moderator Note - Translation by Google:Greetings community, I have a question if the Sonos roam can be left connected to the power so that it is always available to play content?
I guess they want the message coming from Google searches to be as positive as possible.
I have two Sonos Move speakers that are paired. Is it possible to play music from only one speaker without unpairing? When I unpair them, sometimes I have difficulty re-pairing them, so I would prefer to not have to unpair but be able to play one speaker at a time. The reason for this is at times I take one speaker to my backyard and leave the other in the house. But the one in the house is also playing which at times is disturbs those sleeping or watching tv. If I hit the power button on one speaker it turns both speakers off
Has anyone experienced the same problem that the roam will not connect to any other speakers in group? It will only play individually.all other speakers in my house can group, but this problem has now only came around since the update
Do I require Wi-Fi in my home to use the “ Move” speaker, or can I blue tooth from. I phone after set up?
We use our Roam to play white noise in our daughters room. The speaker is set up in her room on the wireless charger. Previously it always worked fine, and then now it randomly just drops out and appears as “not connected” in the Sonos app. It’ll play for an hour or so, and then it disappears. Hard rebooting the speaker via the button on the back returns it to the app and makes it usable again, but it’ll play for another hour or so and then randomly stop and disappear. For reference: my home sonos system runs on Sonosnet channel 6
When I connect my phone to my sonos roam via bluetooth, I initially don’t get any music from the speaker, although music is playing on the phone. Also when I hit the Play button on the Roam, I can’t pause the music. I still get the “connection successful” sound by the roam and my phone also shows that I am connected. This only happens, when the bluetooth volume is below a certain level (about 2/3 max level). What helps is turning the bluetooth volume to maximum after connecting and once I hear the music turn it back down. At this point I can also control the music with the buttons on the roam such as pause or next song. Is there a certain input thrshold, before the roam acknowledges the connection, and if yes, can I lower it? I use my roam a lot to listen to quiet music in the middle of the night, and it is a real pain to always have to max the volume for a successful connection.
Hi! First post here. Live in Norway, but I guess the details are the same all over. I currently own a Boost, Sub gen 2, Arc, 4 Sonos One and one Play: 3.I’m thinking of replacing the Sonos One we have on the kitchen counter with a Move (gen 1) so I can remove the wire that makes a clutter, and be able to take it outside on the roof terrace.I know that the Move can be charged through the docking station or via USB-C, but what I would like to know is if the wire connected to the docking station can be removed when it’s not used. I know that the adapter itself can be removed from the wire, but my question is if the wire is permanently conneted to the docking station or not. I was hoping that the Move can be places on the docking station permanently on the kitchen counter, but don’t want the wire to be attached to the station, unless I’m using it. The alternative is to keep the docking station somewhere else, and just charge via USB-C.
