HiI have a new Move, when I set it up it has connected to my home Wi-Fi not Sonos through boost. How can I change this? RegardsMark
Lately, I have been experiencing increasing issues with my Sonos Move. I have a pair of Sonos 5 set up in my living room and a Sonos Move in my kitchen. While the Sonos 5 works perfectly, my Move has been intermittently losing and regaining contact, resulting in the music being interrupted or going completely silent. At times, it also produces a crackling sound. I have attempted to resolve the issue by rebooting it, but it has not helped. Additionally, the wifi connectivity appears to be functioning normally, and there is nothing nearby the Move that could be causing the problem. I am unsure of what to do next.
I’m using Google Assistant, and keep getting message, “Spotify Premium isn’t currently available. Try again later.” I’ve tried uninstalling Spotify from the Sonos app; reinstalling; reauthorizing. Even resetting the Roam and starting over from scratch.Spotify works fine from the Sonos app on my iPhone, and I can cast it to the Roams. It just won’t work with Google Assistant for some reason.
Speaker ash been working fine and came into shop and one speaker would not work. We have done everything SONOS app recommends. App shows speaker in Blue Tooth mode but we have pressed the button on speaker and top light is white but will not connect to play and SONOS will not recognize WIFI for the speaker. I have 2 Move speakers and the other one is fine.We have reset and turned of the router multiple times, turned the speaker off for a period and powered back up, we have changed the speaker form Blue Tooth to WIFI and back a few times. The white light and sound come on but the Sonos App still shows the speaker is bluetooth and will not play. Moderator edit: Combined posts
I’ve been unable to install an update on my Roam. Keep getting error 30 which has 2 suggestions. First - move it closer to the router. Tried that, got the same error. 2nd plug in Ethernet cable. Can’t do that on a roam. Any other ideas please?
This is a wish for the Sonos Roam.there is a tone for power off.It would be good if there was a different tone for power on.
Hi All, Hope someone can help. I’ve been having major problems getting my Sonos speakers, 2 Roam SLs, to connect with my WiFi through my phone - Android with the S2 app. I occasionally get one speaker (of 2) to connect (let’s call it L) and I think I may have solved this, but the system can’t see the other (R). The system settings claim a speaker is “powered off,” though I’m standing next to it and the light (white) is on. Naturally I’d like to resolve this and set up the stereo pair. I’m not even entirely sure the one that’s connected will stay so, it’ll take a few days to work this out and it seems to connect at random, without changing WiFi settings. Here’s what I’ve tried so far and noticed, over the space of a couple of weeks:factory reset of both speakers. This worked once and I got them set up as a stereo pair, but then the system couldn’t find them again. it found them twice by itself, but failed to about 10 times (I gave up and tried on 3 occasions and would estimate abo
Sonos MOVE When the speaker is switched off, the microphone LED on top lights up white and after that the speaker cannot be switched on.I tried a factory reset, but it didn't respond to that either! What could be wrong?
I have a ROAM and was set up in a small work room. I moved it to another room and then unable to connect to sonos system. When I pressed to start it has a red light so I’m kinda stuck. Looked up help but nothing popped up that was helpful. Any ideasThanks
Can I pair a move with a Ray?
I have 2 Play 5s and 3 Play 1s scattered around a 4,000 sf ranch house. Fills the place with sound … when it works. I don’t use it often, typically Saturday or Sunday mornings like now.It is never as simple as just open the app, start the music. Always some update that has to run. (Why can’t they schedule those to run in the background? I don’t know.) Then the system has to find the units. Hey, not on the right network...Why not? Not sure. I have 2 routers, both with 2.4 and 5 G but the units seem to switch around and attach themselves elsewhere or just drop off. Can you hold the button down? Sure, no problem, let me just get the ladder because 2 of them are way up on top of cabinets. Can you restart the router? Why, that’s no problem, I LOVE to do that stuff. Will it work today? I don’t know. Couldn’t get it running over my phone and now the update is running in the background on my PC, been downloading for 20 minutes. This is great.
How come you cannot use multiple networks on your Sonos Rome every time I bring it home I have to set the network for Wi-Fi
I can't get my move to connect to wifi or Bluetooth any more
I have been trying to get my Sonos Move to connect to my app or the internet for a few days now. It will connect to one or the other, but not to both. I have restarted it, trouble shooted, anything the troubleshooting part of the Sonos website told me to do. Eventually it tells me “connected, you may not see it on the system, you can fix that in the app” and it makes me start all over again.
I’ve recently been gifted a Sonos Roam… Can anyone tell me if I purchase the Qi wireless charger, will the Sonos Roam be able to be left powered on permanently and act as a 24/7 Wi-Fi speaker without auto powering off?Ideally want to use it for 24/7 voice assistant for Alexa and not have to manually power it on to use. Thanks
Hi All,I am having a problem with audio drop-out when my Roam is grouped to my Beam (TV).The system is:3 x Play 31 x Beam1 x Sonos One1 x Roam Controller on smart phone Sonos S2All are WM:1 (WiFi, nothing wired).Network shows SonosNet Channel 6 (greyed out)WiFi is old-ish, 2.4 GHz onlyNothing is in surround sound or stereo pair set-ups.TV is a Sony Bravia. HDMI / ARC connection to BeamNo voice control or services in use I have used the system for several years without hitch. The Sonos One and Roam are new additions. Set-up went as expected and these 2 new units work normally when playing music from my Laptop / Music Library and from mobile phone “On this mobile device” and from mobile phone “BBC Sounds”. (I don’t have any music streaming accounts) The main use of my Sonos system is to hear whatever is playing on the TV throughout the house. Mainly Digital Freeview TV / Radio by aerial and BBC iPlayer via internet. Our family demographic is one where everybody can use the TV remote
Hi, I have disabled the Status Light on my Sonos Roam to prevent it lighting up my bedroom at night, but leaving the Roam on the Wireless Charger, the Battery Light regularly comes on briefly as if I have just placed it on the charger. Despite the Battery Light only being on for brief amount of time it is disturbing in the middle of the night. I’m guessing this is because the Sonos is allowing its battery percentage to drop down to 99%, then start charging again back up to 100%, but surely this should be factored in. What can I do to stop this happening?
Hi,Can I group a Roam SL speaker with my existing pair of Play:1?
I have a small house (840 square feet/78 square meters) with a Sonos One and a Sonos Move, both connected through Amazon Echo (Alexa). When I play music (grouped or ungrouped, using Alexa or using the App, using Amazon Music, Spotify, or Sirius XM as source), the One begins playing immediately, but the Move will take up to 45 seconds before any sound happens. I can be standing right next to the Move, say “Alexa, play <song title>,” and it will respond from that speaker - “Playing <song title> by <artist> from Amazon Music,” and it will take 30-45 seconds for any sound to come out, and it will be 30-45 seconds into the song. If the two speakers are grouped, I’ll hear the first part of the song playing on the Sonos One, and the Move will eventually join the song already in progress. This also happens if I switch music - Don’t like the vibe, so I change stations or playlists. The One picks up right away but the Move takes a while. Once it’s playing there are zero issues -
Sonos app failed to connect to any components my Sonos System (Two Beams - Gen 2 & 1 Move).Followed diagnostic instructions to turn off all 3 speakers, but one of the Beams did not re-connect. One Beam successfully connected, as did the Move.Best Buy - Geek Squad is returning tomorrow morning to troubleshoot this latest connection failure.I’m beginning to think that this Sonos purchase was a very bad idea. I cannot trust it to work properly, it has been unstable and not dependable. Every time I open the app, I’m fearful something else will go wrong. Not a very healthy way to live!
Hi, does someone know if the batteries of the Move will live longer if they stay always on their stand ? What is the best to keep the battery life longer ? Thank you for your help !
Apologies for the long post.Let me first tell you first what I like about Sonos. Sonos products sound good and the user interface is very good. But time spent struggling when things should just work is wasted time. This was not an issue with Sonos... until my Move started failing last November after less than 2 years of ownership. In November, my Move just stopped playing. I have no idea why. I tried to fix it myself, spent hours online, here on the forum and with support. I gave up a few times but persevered. In December, I got it to work. I can't tell you how many reboots of Move, the router, etc etc I did. Or why it came around when it did. Once it started working again, I played it a few times over the Holidays. Then I bought a different portable speaker and stopped using Move for a few months. A few days ago, I sent music to Move for the first time since December. The charger was unplugged and its battery had run out. Plugging in the charger did not bring the speaker to life. Afte
Have 2 Sonos Move speakers. Can they function with a home theater bar (Arc or Beam) and be an extension for home theatre functionality? Thanks.
