 I have a Sonos beam (newest generation) connected to the eARC port on my LG oled tv. The sound is perfect when I play media streaming via WiFi to the beam. When I play tv audio, it’s fine for a few minutes then started sputtering, rapidly cutting in and out to silence. I thought it was the hdmi cable so I replaced it (twice, both with cables that advertised eARC support) but the problem persists. Anyone know how to fix this?

The new sonos arc and sub gen 3 doesn’t connect for any new updates.  Also it is unable to connect to my wifi. No matter what I do in the app

Got two Era300 home yesterday and added them with ease to the network and can play music through them with AirPlay for example. The problem is adding them in stereo to my existing TV-room setup. I’ve reset the devices, updated them.They are added to the network in separate rooms (like sonos says they need to be) but I can’t find them when I’m in the room with the arc+sub. I have the option to ad a pair as surround in the room, but when I try to add them the app doesn’t find any compatible devices. I ordered both of the from Sonos directly and updated everything once they arived.  

So .. reading the threads .. appalling situation from Sonos.sonos soundbar + satellite Ones have been working just fine for years.I moved house and changed the wifi network name. Reconnected the soundbar to the new wifi.App cannot see the update server so can’t complete the soundbar install.soundbar will not play tv audio.no settings on tv have changed.half the time the sonos s2 app doesn’t see the sonos devices.this is rubbish. any help please?

What is the next best system to totally replace Sonos with?

I want to buy a Sonos sound bar, but I have seen that the ARC was launched on June 10, 2020, and I don't want to buy it and the ARC 2 will be released next year, and moreover, Sonos is renewing or updating all the devices, only ARC is left... is there information about it?

I see this is a common problem. My first Sanos product, a Beam Gen 2, will not update. I've tried all suggestions re turning stuff off, giving it a dedicated IP, tried WiFi and wired, tried 2 iOS devices and 2 Android devices, same issue on all!!!! WTF won't this work and WTF won't Sanos admit this problem and fix it!!??!! This will be my first and last Sanos purchase and will be returning it Monday 

With the new App Update now released, our thoughts will be turning to the likely upcoming release of the Headphones. Another rumoured new product for Sonos is a Set Top Box.  You might question the benefits of this device with an already busy market of Streaming boxes and Sticks eg Apple, Amazon, Roku etc. What I'm really hoping is Sonos sees this device as the gateway to Sonos Wireless Home Cinema.  What I really would like to see, is for the Set Top Box to allow for wireless connectivity to Speakers for TV Audio (not just Soundbar).  I listen to more music than I do watch movies and I prefer the Stereo Seperation and wide sound stage of 2 Speakers rather than that of what a Sonos Soundbar produces.  And I don't want multiple devices up front to accommodate different needs eg Soundbar for TV, Speakers for Music. This technology already exists, as seen with Apple, Amazon, Samsung etc providing wireless Home Cinema. How can they do it? My playbar(1)has stopped working since the TCL TV has updated it’ software.  The optical setting is switched on but the playbar will not recognize the optical connection.  Prior to this upgrade the sytem was working perfectly along with my two Play 1 speakers setup as a home theater system.  How can i correct this problem.   I have been through the system setup again on the Sonos app but the playbar is not seen by the TV.

I have a Sonos Playbase, Sub and 2x Play 1s for my home cinema setup.  I’ve been curious about Dolby Atmos, which is compatible with my TV but not the Playbase. I get decent surround sound by using AirPlay but I was wondering if it could be improved by replacing the Playbase with the Beam 2nd Generation to get Dolby Atmos. Is it worth the upgrade? Thank you!

My Sonos5.1 system is composed of playbase, one sl, and sub gen3. All of them are separated and pushed by airplay separately, and each speaker is normal. However, after combining them and pushing with airplay, the sound is trembling. The 2.1 system composed of one sl and sub gen3 is also normal, but it is not normal after adding playbase. I called sonos technical customer service and they said it might be a network problem. After talking for an hour, the problem was not solved. I use spotify connect to push music to the Sonos5.1 system and the sound is completely normal, which means that there is no problem with the network. Now only the sound when pushing to the Sonos5.1 system by airplay is trembling. Is there a compatibility issue between the sonos system and airplay? Have other users encountered this problem, that is, the sonos5.1 system with playbase has the problem of airplay sound trembling?

Hi. I’ve inherited an Amp and managed, eventually, to get it updated and connected to Wi-Fi. Both are showing on the App with the Amp as surround speakers. Because they are in a room far way from the router I didn’t connect both to it using Ethernet. Also the existing (Cambridge Minx Mini 11 - 8hms) speakers are already mounted on the wall. So is the Beam. It would mean physically disassembling. They are both Wi-Fi enabled. The Amp volume controls the Beam volume so there is connectivity.it seems odd in this day and age you have to hard wire products to connect?Needless to say no sound from the speakers. Also I’ve noticed the Music Playback ‘Full’ setting has now disappeared from the Surround setting in the current App update?

TV to Arc via HDMI, Arc wirelessly to Sub, SL’s (one room) and Amp (another room) and passives wired to Amp. The sound is echoey when the Amp is on and grouped with the Arc. Is this because of delay and how do I fix. My network is super fast and the Arc and Amp are within a couple feet of each other. If indeed the wireless setup is the issue, what’s an alternate setup? 

I recently bought a Sonos ARC.It's been absolutely great apart from when trying to play files on my Plex via Apple TV, the files play but there is no sound.When I put the files on a USB and play via that there is sound. So, it isn't the files.All other apps on Apple TV (iPlayer, YouTube etc...) play fine. So, it isn't Apple TVPlaying via Plex was fine playing through my old Sonos Playbar.The Arc uses HDMI eArc whist the Playbar used optical digital audio outThe only thing that has changed is swapping out the Playbar for an Arc.My TV is an LG G3.Had a look in Plex for audio settings but nothing obvious jumps out.Any ideas?

I have in my home TV setup the Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, and two Era 100 as surrounds. The front speaker sound is abysmal in the lower mid frequencies. I know now that there is unfortunately no way to extend the system using a Sonos product as an additional front speaker. I am now desperately looking for creative solutions. One idea that came to me early was to use the HDMI eARC output on the TV for the Arc, and then hook up a separate analog speaker using the optical audio out. This almost worked, but audio was too much out of sync. Another solution would be to get a receiver hooked up to the TV that could forward output HDMI to the Arc and analog to the front speaker simultaneously. I’m not sure though if that kills off the eARC functionality, or if this also leads to sync issues. What are your thoughts on this? Anyone with an Arc that solved the front speaker midrange problem? Any ideas welcomed.

What is the reason that I can't do Trueplay to my ARC with this new app now? It's the only Sonos speaker that I can't calibrate with my iPad Air 4. When are you going to fix this situation?Sonos ARC+Sub G3+One SL.I had already mentioned in another post that it would be better for Sonos to sell a specialized microphone to do Trueplay from any cell phone using the USB C port, thus saving the problem of calibrating each microphone that Apple uses on its devices.

Bean volume connected to TV going on and off

I have a surround setup with Playbase, OneSL, One Gen1 and Sub Gen2. Is it worth adding a new second Sub Gen3 to the system? Is it going to make that much of a difference as it’s very pricy.. I understand there are app issues at the moment… I’m not after advise on the app.. just the second sub and if its worthwhile.

I currently own a Sonos Beam and Two Sonos One SL speakers functioning as a surround system for my television and for music.  Currently my Sonos Roam (1) cannot join the group of speakers i’m using at home.  If I upgrade to the Sonos Roam 2, is it possible to add this device to my current Sonos Sound system configuration as an additional speaker?  I would optimally like to use the Roam 2 as a speaker in another room while listening to music.  Any help would be appreciated.  

What is the Best way to connect bluetooth to sonos arc and era 300?  Sub also in living room.  I hate the sonos app.

Good morning all, very frustrated.  Long time Sonos user and have recently moved and upgraded to a new Arc & Gen 3 Sub-only had them about a week.  Having multiple issues...the primary issue being the Sub is very quiet.  I can turn it up to 15 and barely hear it.  Aside from that, the settings in the app reset sporadically (yes, I’ve read the horror stories about the app, very disappointing in comparison to the previous app) and put everything back to factory settings.  I moved up from a PlayBar and Gen 2 sub and it would shake the house down...at present, I’m lucky if i can hear it at all.  What I’ve done to try and remedy...removed Wifi extender that was just below the Arc, hard wired the Arc for the internet rather than use Wifi (the app won’t allow me to uncheck “Disable Wifi” despite having a data cord installed).  Removed the Sonos App and reinstalled it.  Removed and reinstalled the Sub.  Unplugged power from the Arc, waited 30 seconds, reconnected.  No change.  The sub IS w

I cannot add my Ray bar to my account. Product is found, It connects to the app and to WiFi. Green/white light. Push button in the back. So far all good. But in the last step it fails to be added to my account. Any tips?

I’ve changed my living room from an Arc, Sub and surrounds to an Amp, third party front speakers and Sonos surrounds. I’m really happy with the sound and it’s honestly transformational for listening to music. The front speakers have enough bass for movies rid etc. My only quibble is that if I’ve been listening to some music with a higher dynamic range on the Amp, and then switch the TV on, the volume is too loud. With the line in you can set up the Amp to autoplay with a default volume but you cannot seem to set this for TV via HDMI eARC. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Sonos Community,I recently purchased a Sonos Ray and I'm having trouble connecting it to my existing home WiFi network. I'm using a Virgin Media Hub 3.0 as my router and modem.Here's what I've tried so far:I performed a factory reset on the Sonos Ray and went through the setup process. The setup process seems to go smoothly until it reaches the page where it tries to get an update. At this point, it fails. The setup then proceeds to say, "Your system is set up," but the Sonos Ray never shows up on the Sonos app. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, such as the ones mentioned in this Virgin Media Community post: https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-WiFi/Sonos-not-connecting-to-hub-3/m-p/5414607#M562535 I've turned things off and on, and I've also tried using an Ethernet connection, but none of these steps have resolved the issue.I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to get my Sonos Ray connected to my WiFi network and showing up in the Sonos
