Sonos App Has Trouble Locating Beam Every Morning
I have a new Sonos Beam. I’m using Wifi with as Asus RT-AC88U Router. On the router I have mapped an IP to the Sonos MAC so I always get the same IP.(this issue happened before I did this as well). I’m generally using Tidal to play music. In the routers diagram webpage it shows the beam is connected with 5 bars tx54/rx24, the devices are about 5 feet from each other.Using Airplay via my iPad/iPhone seems to work consistently.(my understanding this is direct and bypasses my router) If the Beam has not been used for a few hours and I open up the Sonos app it will never detect the system. One of the following scenarios happens. #1. Ping the device successfully from router system tools pageIf I ping the device and it responds successfully it seems to maybe wake it up? If I force kill the app on my iOS device it will usually show Sonos connected after 1-2 minutes. #2. Ping doesn’t respondif impress play on the beam it will start playing music from tidal immediately, if I wait 1-2 minute
Humming noise from Sonos One
Hello,I have the same problem described in the two links below. A surround system with one Beam and two One SL. When no sound is coming to any of the two One SL (either because of no source or low volume) I can hear a humming noise.Any idea what the solution could be?Thanks,Rudolf https://en.community.sonos.com/troubleshooting-228999/sonos-one-humming-6818353 https://en.community.sonos.com/troubleshooting-228999/sonos-one-speakers-humming-noise-6847593
One SL drops audio but only when it's part of a surround setup
I have a playbase with a Sonos One and a One SL as surrounds. The Playbase is connected directly to my router. If I am playing audio from Spotify, Sonos radio or my own music library the One SL keeps cutting out sound intermittently. I have swapped the SL with another Sonos One from elsewhere in the house and have found that its only the SL that has the problem.I have removed it from the surround setup as a standalone and the audio is fine however when I put the surround back together the issue comes back.I have been through the motions. Wifi channel. Sonos Channel etc. I have also tried to connect it to the router by cable and the problem still exists which rules out a WiFi issue I think.I have hit a wall guys. Anyone have any suggestions?
Optical Switch Problems
Good Morning Im looking for some advice I recently bought a optical switch for my Sonos Beam so I could hardwire my devices straight to beam as was getting really bad lip sync problems on my Sky Q. The switch has worked for Lip Sync issues & everything is in sync now, though I am getting really bad electrical interference when viewing now. Examples when lighting gas hobs on cooker, boiler kicking in, light switches turning on. Is cutting the sound out though it is only for a small amount of time becoming really frustrating. I have tried bypassing the switch & the electrical interference stops. Has anyone got any ideas how to stop interference if using switch or how to sort lip sync issue out so I don’t need to use switch. Samsung TU8000 and LPCM via Arc
Hello All,I bought a 2020 Samsung TU8000 with eARC. The manual and Samsung support said that it supports multichannel PCM, but upon trying it with both the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, all I get is Stereo 2.0 PCM. I’ve heard there will be an update on Samsung’s end via a couple of forums, but will this be updating all 2020 Samsung TVs? Also, is this definitely something wrong on Samsung’s end or is it, in fact, a Sonos/Samsung compatibility issue? Thanks for your help!
Beam LED light won't turn ON anymore. Voice assistants not working either
This Sonos Beam was working perfectly fine until a couple of days ago. I’ve moved to a new home / new Wifi, so I reset all the speakers and started fresh. After the updates, all speakers seem to be OK, but the Beam has lost its staus LED light. Nothing happens if I toggle the “Status light” setting on and off in the S2 app. I have tried powering it on and off, and nothing. I have tried resetting it again, but it’s hard to follow the procedure, because when trying to follow the steps I don’t get any lights at all on the LED. The speaker seems to work OK otherwise, except that I’ve also found out that neither voice assistant (Alexa/Google) works anymore. I used Google Assistant on this same device before, so I wonder if this is related. Touch controls seem to work, and I get sound feedback when I touch them. If I touch on the “mic” button after setting up Google Assistant, I hear the voice saying “the mic is off” and “the mic’s back on”, but the speaker doesn’t respond to any commands or
Use one of my speakers on its own, even though it's paired
Hello!I have a Beam and two 3s. They are combined and appear as Living Room. They sound great.Sometimes, though, I might want to stream music through one of the 3s on its own. Can I do that? Can I define it as its own entity and leave it as part of the group? Thanks!Nik
app wont recognise sonos speakers
I have recently moved, set up new 5G connection, tv, phones etc all work. I have Play1, 2xPlay3 and Playbar…. all of these are working, however, the Sonos App won’t show my accounts, settings or speakers, even though they are working and being used as a surround sound for my tv.I have spent about 6 hours trying to figure this out, I’m losing patients and getting increasingly annoyed.
Sonos beam only playing sterio 2.0
Hi all can anyone help me? I have purchased a Sonos beam and am having difficulties getting it to send anything other than a Stereo 2.0 my tv is Panasonic 3D Plasma TX-P42ST60B. The tv doesn’t seem to give me the audio options I need to resolve the issue. I’ve considered buying a new tv but this seems a drastic and expensive solution. I need some advise.
Does Sonos beam support channel 13 on 2.4GHz?
Hi team Ever since I changed my 2.4Ghz radio to channel 13 (Yes it is legal in where I live) across all my APs. The Sonos Beam has been unable to associate to to the SSID and de-registered itself from the app…After a factory reset the beam still can’t see the SSID at all during the setup process. As soon as I changed the channel to channel 6. It started working again. My question is - does the Beam support channel 13? If not, Why it doesn’t and is it on the roadmap? Does Sonos radios aware of wireless regulatory domains and will auto geo-comply? Btw channel 13 is a vast more cleaner channel to use. Bonus question - is it normal for the product to deregister itself after offline for a while? This is bad design? Setting it up all over again is not cool.

Sonos Arc / Arcana / Apple TV question
I’ve got a question about the audio output from my Sonos Arc. Currently, I have my Apple TV 4K connected to a HD Fury Arcana, which in turn is connected to my Sonos Arc for audio output and Vizio P75-F1 for video output. Ever since I hooked up the Arcana back in September, I’ve been able to experience audio outputs from the Apple TV 4K ranging from Dolby Atmos to Dolby Digital 5.1 to Stereo 2.0, as confirmed in the About My System section of the Sonos app. However, tonight I noticed in the Sonos app that Dolby Digital 5.1 is now listed as Multichannel PCM 5.1 and Stereo 2.0 is listed as Stereo PCM 2.0. Does anyone know what might’ve changed in my A/V setup? I’m assuming one of these components had a recent software update which lead to these differences. More importantly, can someone clarify for me if Dolby Digital 5.1 and Multichannel PCM 5.1 are the same audio output? Sonos OS: S2 Sonos Arc: version 12.2Apple TV 4K: tvOS 14.2
Sonos Arc volume levels different across TV and streaming services
Hi,I have recently purchased a Sonos Arc and Sub (Gen 3). I notice that the volume level is significantly different between services (TV, Netflix, Youtube). For example:When watching TV, I need to have the volume very high (60% - 70%) to hear it well. the volume level through on the native TV is much louder than through the Arc. When I turn on the TV the volume jumps up to a good level for a second then drops to the level that I’m talking about. It’s like it tried to set at the right level then something happens. When watching Netflix, the volume level still need to be Approx 50% but is louder than the TVWhen watching YouTube, volume is very loud (what I expect) and only need to have it at 10% - 20%. No need to have it anywhere near half as it fills the room. This is the kind of performance I’m expecting with the new Arc and comparable to my old Bose soundbar which was consistently loud and high quality across all services.I am connected via eARC from a new, 2020 LG OLED 65inch C
Sonos Arc - Switching back to TV Audio In - a few seconds after playing music from app
When I play audio on the sonos arc through the app, or ask Alexa to play a song, it plays through the arc for a few seconds and then switches back to the TV Audio In status in the app. My TV is off, so TV sound is not actually coming through the Sonos. Set upI am using Xfinity X1 box, which is connected to an HD Furry Arcana eArc adapter, which then connects to both the TV and the Sonos. Wondering if this is my issue? Any ideas?

My sonos sub is not playing music while connected to my beam.
Hi All, I connected a new Sonos Sub to the beam in my room and the sync went well until I turned on the sub from my app. The buffer is not playing any music, any idea why? Is it related to a defect on the product or my wifi connection?Any help is greatly appreciated.
eARC interrupts every couple of seconds
Hi,We’ve setup a Samsung Frame 2020 TV and connected eARC with the Sonos ARC. Worked fine till the latest Sonos Update. When starting up TV, the ARC outputs sound, then 2 seconds nothing, then 1 sec sound, then nothing ,… etc. This is quite annoying for a 3K setup… it has nothing to do with cables, only solution which works so far is turning off electricity for 10 seconds… i can still return the ARC to the store but rather have a solution or fix instead.
connecting Sonos Move with Sonos Beam
I have had a Sonos Beam for about a year now and like it alot. I was going to buy a sub but kinda don't have the room for it. Did read about the Move not being able to be paired as a surround but still able to pair to the Beam. I got the Move today but am unable to pair it with the Beam. Can't put them in the same room nor play the same music on them. I can play music on both devices.. Just not the same music at once. Please help me get them grouped to gather
