Sonos Beam disrupts the TV picture periodically with black out of TV. The TV and speaker will be working well and then the TV will have two black outs where picture goes away. Between first and second black out the sound gets distorted. If we disconnect the sound bar TV works perfectly.  We replaced the HTMI cable and still have the same problem.

Have a generation 3 sub and it has a persistent ticking noise. Sub is sat on carpet and has been moved to three different places. Its paired with the beam but still ticks constantly when listening to anything. Sub is exactly one week old Any ideas ?

Hello, for 2 years now i have problem that my sonos beam is having a crackling sound.I think the most of the time is happening when the netflix-app is used. When changing input, the issue seems to be solved for a moment.I am using the following setup : Nvidia -shield → HDMI to Philips Oled TVReceiver → HDMI to Philips Oled TVHDMI with ARC from Oled tv to Sonos Beam Off course all cables are already replaced.I saw different threads in this community , without a solution. Please Help.

I bought two bookshelf speakers to enhance the ARC and they cut out all the time. How is this good? Why is there no direct way to hook them up to avoid this????????

Hello, we have a Sonos Arc. We watch television (Netflix, etc.) through a Mac Mini connected by HDMI to the TV. Now we have bought a Sonos Arc and we want to connect it, but when connecting it to the Mac Mini via HDMI it does not sound, and if we connect it to the HDMI (HDMI 1) of the TV, as the Mac Mini is also connected by HDMI to the TV (HDMI2 ), it is not possible to use them at the same time, so if we select HDMI1 on the TV, you can see the Mac but you cannot hear SONOS, and if you select HDMI2 you can hear the sonos but you don't see TV through the Mac Can you think of a solution for this? It is incredible that a machine as recent as the Sonos Arc does not come with more input options, since many people today only watch television with a computer connected to a TV that only acts as a monitor. Thank you! Arty

This is what I'm greeted with every time I try to use the Sonos app. I'm currently on Android app version 12.0.4. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling 12.0.3 which worked fine before this update but I'm having the same issues with that. I've completely reset all my speakers and set them up again this time using an iPhone.Everything works fine from the iPhone app.I have a 5.1 setup, 2 Ones, a sub and an arc. Turning the arc off and back on again allows me in as far as the main Sonos app screen but if I try to select any sound source e.g. Sonos Radio, TV etc. the app force closes and I am greeted with the 'Sonos keeps stopping' window every time I try to open it.This has made my almost €2000 setup impossible to use/control. Very disappointed.I'm using a OnePlus 7 Pro on Android version 10. I feel like I've tried everything and only an update to the so Sonos app might fix this but any help would be greatly appreciated as this has been going on for close to a week now. Thanks!

I am upgrading my Playbar to an Arc.  any advice on how to use the Playbar ? can it function as an independent speaker in the bedroom for example ?

I recently purchased the Sony Bravia OLED LCD TV Class A8H 65” along with the Sonos Arc. Upon connecting everything, lip sync problem was very noticeable. After reading numerous posts in Sonos Community, I started navigating the Sony TV configuration menus. These are the settings on my Sony Bravia TV which solved lip sync problem for me:Display & Sound   1. Sound - Sound Mode - Dolby Audio  2. Audio Output       Speakers - Audio System      Audio System Prioritization - On      Sound mode sync - On      A/V Sync - Auto      eARC mode - Auto      Digital audio out - Auto 1      Digital audio out volume - Max       Dolby Digital Plus Output - Dolby Digital Plus      Pass through mode - AutoGive these settings a try if you have a Sony OLED LCD and are having lip sync problems with the Sonos Arc.After entering above settings, I reverted Sonos Lip Sync to 0.Cheers.

Sonos sub (gen 3) will not connect to the arc soundbar once the sub has been setup, and says it will remain unsed until you connect it.  however, it wont connect and says not found - please help🤦.

Hi all,Just wanted to share recent observation. For about a year Ive had a playbar, sub and several ones around my home property for a while. The playbar was ethernet hard wired into wifi router, all other sonos kit with wifi enabled. The tri-band (2.4/5x2) wifi router is ASUS (configured as a simple Access Point) ethernet connected into a business grade VDSL2 broadband modem, which also is where DHCP is enabled. Everything worked fine.An arc was added a couple of days ago. From that point, started to get real issues with internet / home network e.g. very slow, random internet connectivity, wifi drop outs, even every few seconds, from all devices, both wired and wireless. First reaction was either modem or router issues, spent several days trying all the usual checks, changes, even rebuilt the entire network from factory resets. No change at all. The router syslog reported a very large number of what looked like conflict issues. By chance I disconnected the playbar from hard wired ethe

I have 4 Sonos One SL speakers in my house.  For the previous 11 months, everything has worked great.  Starting last month we can only see all the speakers on my android phone and the app on my Imac.  My wife is not able to see or control any of the speakers on her android phone.  We have uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app on her phone.  I have unplugged and restarted all of the speakers. Any ideas?

Was having a seemingly common issue with my newly acquired Sonos Beam/ One surround setup. the Audio was out of Sync but I couldn’t push it in the right direction via the app. After doing lots of reading on reddit and the support groups here I tried the following tweaks.I switched out the HDMI from the TV out and used Optical - noticed a crisper wider sound but lip sync not improved.I then removed the PlayStation VR setup attached to PS4 Pro.This solved the problem straight away. Sound locked via PS4 now.Bit annoying I will have to plumb it back in every time we want to use VR but its not our go to so I’d rather have Lip sync on and better sound anytime. A lot of grumpiness about Sonos when I think for the most part its add on kit that causes the issues

Can you please tell me if it’s possible to have your Arc connected to a network cable, whilst having your sub connected to WiFi? It appears at the moment that Arc has Wifi enabled, so that the sub can connect to it, would that be right? If the network cable is left in the Arc, will it still be a hard wired connection or WiFi? I just want the best connection for my Arc? Thanks in advance.

I have à Sony ag8 oled tv With hdmi ARC, and not eARC. Do Anyone know in my tv can play atmos sound trough Sonos arc trough hdmi arc or is that impossible to me to get atmos sound through the arc? new sonos kit and new TV. LG screen connected by HDMI ARC to Beam i want to play music through the two Play1s I have set up as cinema surround (front) though i dont see a setting to set up as rear surround. i want to be able to play music a stereo through sonos using ipad, TV music apps etc. Currently the dominant speaker is the Beam which i want to change - either turn off or adjust down. cheers

I received the Beam today and I am trying to it up. I haven't been able to connect any input source through HDMI. I have an HDMI ARC out on my onkyo receiver, and I also tried connecting my TV directly from the optical out on the TV. Both cases the app says it does not see any input signal. Anyone else facing the same issue? Anyone know how to fix it?

Just installed a Sony XBR900G and a Playbase. I wish Best Buy would have advised about compatibility issues between Sony (XBR) and SONOS (Playbase). It's almost impossible to sync audio with video when using DirecTV (HDR21). Any advice before I return the PlayBase?

Hi, I want to use my Sonos Beam (+ 2x Ones) to output audio from my BenQ W2000 projector (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B015OEK8YY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) The BenQ W2000 has neither HDMI ARC nor optical out. It only has one HDMI and one HDMI MHL socket. Is there are solution here? I have read that I can potentially use an HDMI ARC adaptor, or something about a receiver. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, I am new to Sonos Ecosystem. I recently purchased 2 Sonos one and a Playbase and connected them to my 55" Samsung UHD TV which is wall mounted. My Playbase is presently in a shelf and I am considering to play it on an open shelf. Please advise if I will still need a SUB even though the playbase comes with a small sub? Also when to use the Stereo Pair vs Surround sound with Sonos? I couldn't tell the difference in the sound between the 2 settings. At least with stereo pair, I can control the group/un group of Ones and Playbase. I loose that in Surround. Please advise. Thank you.

I've connected the Beam to my Sony Bravia XBR‑55X930D TV via the HDMI 4 port (which is the one they spec for ARC), but the Sonos app says it sees no signal. So I tried the digital audio out from the Sony using the adapter Sonos includes in the box with Beam. Doing that the app says it wants me to turn on the "CEC" setting on the TV, and that it doesn't recognize my brand of TV. Anybody else have this problem?

Hi, I am interested in making sure that I can use the Sonos beam with my hdtv. My tv does not have either a HDMI ARC or optical. However, I stream my content with an AppleTV. Can I use an HDMI ARC converter to use the Sonos beam on either my hdtv or AppleTV. If it helps, my tv serial number is 37MF231D/37 Magnavox. Phillips-Magavox calls it a legacy tv. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, Recently I became the owner of a Sonos Beam soundbar. I connected this to my TV via HDMI ARC. I have some issues with the synchronisation of my TV sound. My audio output settings on my Philips 55POS9002 can be Stereo, Multichannel, Multichannel (bypass). My 4k kpn television experia box audio format can be set to Stereo, Dolby or Auto. It still suffer from lip-sync problems. On all devices it is possible to do things with the audio delay. What is the best combination of settings for the Beam ? Which audio format and where to set the delay ? Thanks in advance.

When I play music through my playbar the sub is not playing. In the Sonos app there is a Warning message: your wireless network will not support the use of a sub or surrounds with your Playbar. The IP addresses are different for the playbar and sub. I believe one of them may be on an extended network. How do I get them back together on the same network? Thanks

Hi everyone, New member here in need of some help. I've spent the last week trawling through the forums here and on the Virgin website, but can't seem to find a solution for my issue. My suspicion is that the problem is with Virgin, but I am posting this here in the hope someone might have already been through the same. My setup: I have a Virgin V6 box and a separate media player (NUC) both connected directly into my TV (Sony KD77A1) via HDMI cables, to HDMI input 3 (ARC) and HDMI input 1 respectively. The TV is connected to the Sonos Playbar via an optical Toslink digital audio cable, as part of the Sonos 5.1 home theater system. My problem: I only get stereo sound out of the V6, irrespective of the channel (SD, HD, 4K, etc). Further details: The V6 audio output option is set to Dolby Digital (but I have experimented with PCM as well, to no avail). The Sony TV definitely passes through Dolby Digital via the optical cable. Indeed, I get full 5.1 surround sound out of the ot

A brief guide to my setup. I've got an Ethernet cable going from my router (Asus RT-AC3200) down to my lounge. From there, it connects to a switch (Netgear GS108Tv2). The switch then hooks up TV, Amazon FireTV, Blu Ray player, Logitech Harmony hub, a CD player, and a computer. And - ideally - my Playbase. And then I have a pair of Play:1s which I want to use as surrounds. I've had my Playbase since initial release (2017 Q1, I think) but even when I first set it up I struggled to get it to work from the switch. It turns out that I went with a wi-fi set-up back then, and all was more or less fine (one in a while I would need to reset my controller, but not frequently enough that it was a cause for concern). Yesterday, however, I had some problems - the surrounds dropped out, and I struggled to get them back. This happened twice in the space of about an hour - I submitted a diagnostic, and while the problem wasn't immediately apparent to Support, they pointed out that the 5GHz
