Hi Sonos community I have a poor/zero wifi connection in my room and wanted to connect with a wired system. Pleast let me know if this is a possible set up for the Sonos Arc surround package. The situation is: I have a wired ethernet connection/port into my room from the router in the main house. Plan:Convert this singe ethernet port into multiple ports with a switch e.g. TP link TL-SG105Sonos ARC connected via ethernet to swtich, and ARC HDMI To TV Hisense N7 series (which is also connected to router via the switch)Connect Sonos Sub and SL One to Sonos ARC network WITHOUT wifiPlay TV with this Sonos surround system  I understand i wont be able to control Sonos wireless e.g. on mobile app for music purposes which is fine as this is temporary until i move into a home with better wireless setup.  A wifi range extender wont work for my room.Looked into a mesh network but my room almost gets almost zero wireless connectivity so not sure if this will work. Spoke to someone about another wir

Sonos arc been having problems just recently. It would skip every minute or so with a silence and have the sound back on again. It’s very frustrating. I’ve changed channel and submitted a diagnosis. Number is 326850152. Please someone help resolve this issue.

Was having a seemingly common issue with my newly acquired Sonos Beam/ One surround setup. the Audio was out of Sync but I couldn’t push it in the right direction via the app. After doing lots of reading on reddit and the support groups here I tried the following tweaks.I switched out the HDMI from the TV out and used Optical - noticed a crisper wider sound but lip sync not improved.I then removed the PlayStation VR setup attached to PS4 Pro.This solved the problem straight away. Sound locked via PS4 now.Bit annoying I will have to plumb it back in every time we want to use VR but its not our go to so I’d rather have Lip sync on and better sound anytime. A lot of grumpiness about Sonos when I think for the most part its add on kit that causes the issues   

I had my Sonos Play 5 paired with my One SL and it worked perfectly for maybe a month. Suddenly a few days ago, they showed unpaired and I tried to go into settings to do stereo pair again and it says I need to have 2 compatible products set up to create a stereo pair. I wouldn’t have purchased the One SL if I knew they would make it not compatible in a pair.  How do I fix this?

I had to disconnect my surrounds after the left one stopped working. I am trying to reconnect them and I got both of them to start flashing green. The app senses both of them when attempting to set them up individually, but I get an error every time I try to set them up as surrounds. Not sure what to do here and this is quite annoying.

How do i set up the arc with a sky q box ?

I have been Running a beam on my tv via HDMI ARC for about a year now with no problems. Today i bought 2 one sl's tot complement the beam. First i had problems tot connect them as stereo Pairs tot the beam. This was because i wired the beam with An ethernet cable to the router and my one sl's we're connected by wifi. I connected everything tot the wifi and the setup completed. But there is no sound comming from the speakers. I also set my wifi  to 2.4ghz

Sonos sub isn’t working properly with my sonos beam. Was working fine now it keeps flashing white and coming on and off. I tried a diagnostic 2104799934

Hi I have bought an Arc and downloaded the app and set up was going well. I have plugged in the HDMI cable to the HDMI Arc on the TV and change the sound settings on the TV to the Arc but it would connect during set up and states not connected. I am stuck and can’t go any further and left with no sound! It’s driving me mad.thanks

I originally wanted to ask why i’m not seeing any sonos clients on my unifi network when i have 7 speakers around the house with only one being hardwired.. a playbar. then i found this article:  https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3235?language=en_US My playbar is hardwired and everything else is not.  So now my question is more about efficiency and equipment life.  I have a strong wireless network and can serve all the speakers no problem entirely wirelessly.  considering how much i paid for these speakers am i better off pushing the access points more?  Or are these speakers expected to last the same amount of time as a quasi hardwired mesh? lastly, everything works great.  sounds great.  i love it.  every day.  i’m not really looking for trouble.  but i’d rather replace an access point down the road than a playbar.  Any thoughts?  

I've just downloaded 12.1 on the s2 app. Once completed my sound stopped through arc gen 3 sub and both rear play 1 speakers. I factory reset all speakers but when I try and reconnect the arc, it says its done but doesn't show in my system. I turned WiFi off and on also. Plus the arc is wired not wifi Any suggestions as I'm at my witts end 🤬 Thanks all

Can’t connect Sonos arc, September 27.I just bought a new Sonos arc, trying to connect it to my Wi-Fi (2.4grr).  I understand the previous installation instructions for Sonos arc assumed the app would know it had an Arc.But the current app and instructions don’t to do that  so, from the Sonos app S to version on my iPhone, I sign in, but then the app (when I identify I want to set up a new system)does not go to “connect speakers” but instead goes hunting for Sonos components and cannot find the Sonos arc.  Even when I push in the button at the back it won’t find the Sonos arc.

Hi I had the Arc delivered today and went about setting it up. When it comes to choosing the Dolby output on the Xbox I have Dolby Digital or Dolby Atmos. Atmos can’t detect that it’s connected to a suitable receiver which makes sense because my Samsung tv only has arc and not e-arc. That only leaves me with dolby digital which doesn’t carry lossy atmos. It gives me 5.1. Tested with La La Land 4k on atmos soundtrack. TV supports Dolby digital plus which is greyed out when playing. Thanks 

I have an LG GX65 OLED TV that will be mounted above a gas fireplace.  My goal is to sit the ARC on the mantle below the TV.  I see in the Sonos User Guide it says to keep 4” between ARC and the bottom of the TV.  Can someone educate me on the ramifications if you don’t keep 4” between them?  What if I only kept 2” or and 1”?  The reason I ask is with the 4” the TV is sitting up high on the wall and would just about abut on the crown molding at the top (see picture) I believe the space is required due to the upward firing speakers and or Dolby Atmos. However, if the TV is flush mounted to the wall will this be an issue or distort any sound?    Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Hello- I am looking to purchase an Arc. I currently have a LG 65” on matching brand stand, but set on top of a piece of furniture. There is 2.5” from the tabletop to the bottom of the screen. The Arc seems to be 3.4” tall. While the Arc will be placed in front of the stand, I am worried it will block the bottom part of screen. Any good solutions without mounting the LG to the wall? Thanks!  

Hi Team,I can see a potential problem that I may have soon. Recently, I’ve purchased a monitor with the following specs: AudioSpeakers No Audio Out 1 Interfaces/PortsHDMI 1.4 2 HDMI 2.0 1  With the Beam I have now, I cant seem to think how to connect the monitor and sound bar and be able to play my console (PS4).As my monitor does not have a speaker, I can only think that if i connect the console to the monitor, where it’ll generate the screen, I am not able to get the sound in the end. What are my options?  

Hi, hoping someone can help :) I have an Arc and the whole system is now on S2. I'd like to add a sub. Is the Gen 1 compatible with the Arc and S2? I don't want to have to split between S1 and S2.Thank you :) 

I have read a lot of the ARC and placement. It seems like to most people keep telling me that the ARC should be below the TV. But I can't really understand why?  My TV (65”) is put on the wall 16 inch from the floor, the sofa is on the same hight so I get the eye view in center of the screen. 5 inch above the TV I have a sonos playbar. It works very well.Now I'm considering the ARC instead of the playbar but is thinking about the placement.Currently I have a media bench below the TV and drilled holes above the tv for the playbar to hide the cables inside the wall.I was hoping that I could use the same position for the ARC or I will need to remove the bench and “repair” the holes in the wall. The room is 8 foot high.Thanks! 

Can you please tell me if it’s possible to have your Arc connected to a network cable, whilst having your sub connected to WiFi? It appears at the moment that Arc has Wifi enabled, so that the sub can connect to it, would that be right?If the network cable is left in the Arc, will it still be a hard wired connection or WiFi? I just want the best connection for my Arc? Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,   I’m expecting delivery of my Arc tomorrow, this will be replacing my playbar. I understand that the Arc mount is quite different to the playbar so will need to drill new holes. My question is do you get a mounting template when you purchase the sonos specific mount to make the install easier?   Kind Regards

Pretty straight-forward setup: AppleTV 4K connected to HDMI 2 on my Sony TV. HDMI-ARC out of the Sony into my Sonos Beam. This was working perfectly.Now, a mystery: I moved into a new home, hooked everything up in the same way as before (I think!) and now I can't get sound from the AppleTV to the Beam. My Sony TV is set to 'external speakers' (it did this automatically when I connected the HDMI cable from the ARC port to the Sonos. The Sonos itself is working otherwise (i.e. I can play music through it either via the Sonos app or by AirPlay).Suggestions? I'm going mad!

I have Apple TV 4K and just purchased the Sonos Arc. My question is there anyway to take advantage of Dolby Atmos and if not what would be the best way to connect the Apple TV 4K up to my TV. I do have one port on my TV that says HDMI ARC but not sure how to get the best sound for the Sonos Arc. I understand there may be an update soon from Sonos to help get the best sound possible. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Hi All, I have a setup of Sonos Arc + 2x Sonos One SL’s. Problem is that I can play music as a surround sound perfectly, but with the TV I can’t get any the sound form the One’s. Arc is connected to TV with Hdmi ARC connection and the TV (Philips 65PUS7803 65" Smart Android 4K) does support Dolby Digital Plus and I have the Dolby Digital Plus setting active. Somehow I get the sound only from the Arc while watching TV but surround sound with arc + One’s while listening music from Spotify via Sonos app.  Any suggestions how to fix this to get the surround sound while watching TV?
