We just got a new Xfinity set top box and I've tried setting up the new remote. After pairing the remote, the mute doesn't work and Volume Up and Volume Down BOTH turn up the volume. It got very loud in here for a bit.

 

How do I get the Playbar to lower the volume when I'm pressing Volume down? 

I’d recommend ‘reprogramming” the remote in the Sonos, as it seems like it’s confused as to which IR codes it’s receiving. 


I reprogrammed it several times to no avail. Then I went to the Xfinity website and used their directions to program the remote and that worked eventually. Xfinity Remotes


Glad you were able to resolve it. Makes me wonder exactly what the remote was doing, connecting via bluetooth? Using non-standard IR codes?
