Hi, my playbar makes a continuous high pitched noise whenever plugged in. But, if I plug into a socket in a different room in my extension it doesn’t make the noise. But it does everywhere else. None of the rest of my set up is affected. Any ideas of how to solve out there?

Hello! I am completely stumped by issues with getting my sonos beam to be the default speaker when I stream content through my apple TV 4k. I feel like I am going crazy and I definitely think I am overthinking the solution but I would be very grateful for any input! I guess this is more challenging due to the AORUS FO48U being a monitor rather than a TV.The Tech I have available:AOURUS FO48U, apple TV 4k, Sonos beam gen 2, Skycrop HDMI switch extractorThe challenges:AORUS FO48U has an integrated soundbar which the apple TV 4k auto selects (I have it muted the integrated soundbar but not disabled it not sure it can be disabled) The sonos soundbar is able to be selected via airplay and used temporarily AORUS FO48U does not have an HMDI ARC or eARC port or optical out portThe Goal:To have the apple TV recognize the Sonos soundbar as the default soundbarCurr

Just bought a Beam 2 gen and set it up for my Samsung TV.  Using Apple TV 4k.  Nice sound everywhere except when I go to the Viaplay app, the sound farts over to TV sound...??  What do I do about it?

Hi I’ve tried these steps:  Hi @Reckit If by reset you mean return your Sonos products to factory state. Don’t do it. Instead try this:1. Unplug all Sonos2. Unplug your main router3. Delete the Sonos app from your device4. Plug in your router5. Check it’s admin page for updates and install if available6. Disable DHCP for satellite nodes7. Reboot your router8.  Power Cycle your iOS or Android device and connect to WiFi 9. Connect the speaker you hard wired directly to the main router and not the switch let it come back fully10. Plug in other Sonos 1x1 and let each come back11. Re-install the Sonos app and choose “Connect to existing system (Sonos)12. Hi, I am very happy with my new Arc, and want to add Surround and Sub speakers. Will the app S2 allow me to independently control the volume and equalizer of the Sub, Surround, and Arc?

My Arc is plugged in using the arc port on my Samsung tv. I’m trying to set up my OneSL speakers but the app isn’t discovering the Arc. It’s displaying the two new One SL’s and the Beam that’s set up in a different room. move reset router, unplugged, etc.. nothing. I just need to Arc to show under my products so I can link them to the Ones. Any suggestions appreciated!

About 3 months ago, Xfinity upgraded my DVR to their 4K Cloud box.  Since then, I’ve had lip sync issues on my Beam Gen 1.  I have been using eArc on my 2020 Sony Android TV.  Content from the TV Apps does not have the lip sync problem.  So it’s definitely a sourcing issue (I think).I use the Xfinity box for almost all content.  I wrote to HDFury, with my specs and they claim the Arcana will fix this.  Then I just have to learn how to adjust the volume with the remote, since the Beam won’t be talking directly to the TV eArc CEC., as I understand it.I read that the Beam Gen 2 has a faster processor, but if my eArc is not sending the signal fast enough, I’m not sure how that could help.If given a choice between upgrading the Beam Gen 2 or buying the Arcana, which is the choice to solve the problem?  BTW, I have two Ones for Surround.  

I have recently bought a pair of One SL. Trying to connect it to my exisiting Home Theatre system.Current set up for HT is 1 x Playbar, 1 x Sub, 1x Amp.Amp is connected to 2 x in-ceiling speakers as surrounds. When I try to group the new speakers (tried both as Stereo Pair and individually) with the existing HT system, i can not do so.Get error message saying Unable to Connect Device. Try again.. Of note, no issues with internet connection. Have tried by turning off and on (both speakers and router) - but no success. Much appreciate any ideas/ suggestions.

My new Beam 2 (nothing else connected but the TV) keeps switching between loud- and quiet volume, every time I pause during streaming (happens on all streaming services). Tried everything I can think of.  TV is a Philip's PUS7556

I just got my Beam Gen2, and I connect it to my TV with HDMI (eARC) Port.My Xbox series X is connecting to another HDMI port on my TV.But I found that my Xbox not recognize any dolby atoms device, I did some research online, the above connection method should be able to do the bypass.See if anyone have this experience about it. Thanks

Hi all , newbie to Sonos, I’ve finally added two one sl’s to my beam gen 2 for a home cinema set up , now, I don’t really want surround sound while simply watching football or tv which is what’s happening now, is there a simple way of just having my beam on for general tv with no speaker sound?? And press of a button for say watching a movie to put cinema sound back on???    Also the stereo pair if I just want to listen to music through my speakers only??? Do I have to keep going on the app and change all the settings??? I can’t even find how to stop cinema pairing ??

I’m considering replacing my Bose Lifestyle 650 with an Arc Surround Set. I’m looking to take advantage of Atmos, Sonos streaming and improved connectivity with my LG C2.I already have a pair of Ones and a Gen 3 Sub.Has anyone made this move from the LS650 and can you share your experience? Was there a noticeable difference in the listening experience? Any regrets (besides the cost)?thanks!

Just updated to a new wireless WIFI6 router the my BEAM is the only device giving me issues. Anyone have any secrets to getting Sonos to play nicely and wirelessly connect to the 2.4 band?

I cant pair the arc and the symfonisk speakers in the sonos app. Strange enough the symfonisk speakers are installed but then i dont see the arc. When i restart the sonos app en turn on the tv i only see the arc but then i dont see the symfonisk speakers. This is getting me crazy. What is this??

Hi,So just recieved my Sonos ARC and was very disapointed to find that I have Audio delay when using it with my PS5 on any setting other than PCM but that means it is only using 2.1ch.Both are connected to my TV with the Sonos Arc connected to the HDMI ARC port.I have looked around already and found many with the same issue but most the posts are years old now so wanted to see if anyone knows a fix for this now?Would a HDMI Arc splitter of some sort help?I have heard of this HDFury Arcana thing, don’t fully understand it but is that something that potentially fix the issue?Sorry for my wording/terminology I am pretty new to trying to set such things up.TV model: Hisense QLED 50U7QFTUKThanks.

Hello all, so I have a beam, mini-sub and (2) ones setup in my home theater and it sounds amazing playing anything through TV.  My concern is when I wish to play stereo audio only for music.   What is the best settings configuration that will let me achieve stereo through my rear ONES only/mostly?For my rear sonos ones settings I have full selected instead of ambient.  And music audio is maxed out all the way to the right (see pic below).  It sounds pretty good I think but kinda loud.  Is the maxed all the way to the right forcing too many dbs in a type of brick walling sound or is it just maxing the potential of the (2)one speakers? Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you 

Got all my new Home theater stuff today. Arc,Sub, pair of 1s. Connected to my Samsung Frame via existing 30’ HDMI 2.1 cable as my conduit runs to the attic and back down to the front of my fireplace.first issue is that the HDMI didn’t fit the connection very well. It’s loose and if you move the sound bar, it disconnects. So just ordered another HDMI cable. we were about 2 hours into “No Time To Die” and the system went crazy. It sounded to me like all the speakers were being over driven and constantly cracking. It had to be at full volume. Sent my wife and dogs running to another room. I don’t know if it quit on it’s on or when I paused the movie but it felt like a minimum of 30 seconds. anyway after seeing others with the same issue with the Beams, I unplugged everything and went to bed. I’ve been waiting since the middle of summer to purchase the gear. I’m hoping Sonos tech support has some good answers when I call them otherwise I’ll be sorely dis

I have the beam and sub (gen 2) on the main floor (Family room). I also have a play bar and another gen 2 sub that I want to put in the basement.  Is this possible or do I need to buy a gen 3 sub to connect? thanks

I only get surround sound when I watch a freeview channel direct through my Sony tv. When I watch a programme through my BT box or my Xbox, I only get the sound from the sonos beam, not the 2 surround speakers. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue?Thank-you. 

Help please we are setting up a beam gen 1 and I can’t connect it to our system( we have 4 other devices). It’s connected to Spotify it works with the tv just can’t join our system to link it. It’s currently plugged in with Ethernet cable. 

When listening to music on the speakers via Amazon HD Music using the S2 app on the desktop to cue a playlist, the tv level slider does not change the volume of the playbar. It moves but nothing happens. The music level slider does alter the volume of the surrounds. I am unclear about this as I thought the tv level slider should control the volume of the playbar. The music level slider does not alter the volume of the playbar. When watching television, the tv level slider works to control the volume of the playbar and surrounds at the same time. Is this how it is meant to work?  

I am about to purchase a new Samsung television . My current television has a Playbar and a gen. 1 Sub. connected . All are functioning as expected. My questions is: Should I uninstall these two Sonos devices before I connect them to the new television or is the set-up a simple “plug and play” procedure ?Thank you.  Mod Edit: Edited for accuracy - “Playbar” instead of “soundbar”
