I’m setting my new Sonos speakers including a ARC. Prior to these I had a sonos system in our living room with a PlayBar. So I just started with the Arc and I see no fiber connection for the Arc. Only HDMI to Ethernet.My issue is that I stream my TV via Hulu and normally set my TV Audio to the Fiber out. I don’t use any HDMI connections on my TV.How will my TV see the Arc and direct the sound to it and all the other speakers I am setting up?TIA...

SONOS PLAYBAR OPTICAL TO HDMI Hi, i’ve tried researching and can’t seem to find my answer. i have a playbar and the optical pin on the tv has broken. Does the hdmi / optical converter cable work? i can’t get it to. Any other options ? 

Just setup a LS12000 to replace my tv and I cant seem to get sound from sonos beam connected to this projector’s EARC hdmi port. I doubt its the cable because Im using a certified hdmi 2.1 fiberoptic cable to connect the beam to the projector. I thought EARC port would allow this to be pretty much plug and play? Do I need an hdmi splitter or something like HDFURY Arcana to make it work?

I have a Samsung S90C TV (model QN65S90C) and a Sonos Amp connected to stereo speakers. This setup worked perfectly with my previous TV (a 2012 Panasonic plasma) using ARC, but the S90C does not recognize the Sonos Amp as a valid ARC device. In fact, the automatic device recognition thinks the Sonos Amp is a Spectrum cable box. Both devices are running the current firmware, and I have tried using three different 8K-rated HDMI cables from different brands, and I have also tried to connect the Amp to two different Samsung S90Cs (this 65" QN65S90C, as well as a 55" QN55S90C in a different room) with the same results. I have to use the optical audio instead, which has a frustrating audio delay even when the delay is set to 0ms in the TV's expert settings. I'm not trying to use eARC so I find it hard to believe that the older ARC standard is causing such a problem. Any advice?

There are pretty good deals for Sonos Playbase, considering it's an old product I guess, so I wonder - if I get one can I connect it to my existing Sonos Fives?

I am attempting to pair my arc with ones and a sub.  After a few minutes, the speakers chime and say they are connected.  When I go on the app to the room, the arc is the only speaker showing.  The ones and the sub have disappeared.   And the arc shows with three ?'s next to it.  I still have the option to remove them in settings, even though they are not there.  When removed, I need to factory reset to get them to show. I have attempted to set up with two seperate arcs and multiple speakers seeing that my system is quite large.  I have the same problem with both.   I have also factory reset everything, reset phone and attempted on multiple wifi networks.If the arc is not involved, I have no problem pairing speakers and adding the sub.  They will all communicate together, until the arc is added. Any thoughts?

I just bought a sonos ray. It is connected to my TV via optical connector. The only thing that is rather annoying is the fact that I cannot find a way to control the volume with my vigin media 360 remote. When I try to set it up I get to the audio setup option with Sonos as a provider listed there, I get two options to choose from but neither works. When entering the sonos model number “RAYG” it does not find it either.  So now I am stuck. Does anybody have a solution for my problem?

Hello all. Had a weird problem with my sonos recently. I am getting audio from someone watching television outside my home. They are not on my network so I'm really confused about how they are broadcasting thier tv over my sonos.  Any advice or assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Hi, I recently returned a faulty Sonos Ray and have  received a replacement speaker however before returning the faulty device I forgot to remove the attachment screws for the Sonos Ray Wall Mount.   Can anyone let me know what size attachment screws I need to purchase and where to buy?  

Since firmware update 15.11 (updated manual this week) audio issues (Playbar/Sub/Play1’s).Before firmwareupdate everything was working fine for long time.Input via TOS-link (optica) Meerkanaals (bypass) from Philips One 50PUS8837/12 (model 2022) latest firmware (running several months) The audio is hikking/interrupted continueusly or even stopping, restart (power off/on) dit not solved the problem.After a lot of hours troubleshooting i found that the problem is in the Sonos lipsync configuration, after reset the lipsync from 4 to 0 the audio was normal again, but with expected delay.The maximum delay without interrupted/hikking audio is 1, above the problem occur again.When setting TV to stereo (PCM2.0) Sonos lipsync is working fine. Conclusion : Since Sonos firmware release 15.11 is lipsync not working as in previous verslons while using optical in (TOS link) and DD51 signal using Playbar

I’ve a Panasonic tv - using the TVs native apps I ca get 5.1 with my setup. However when using the diagnostics on the firestick I can’t seem to get 5.1. Any ideas how to resolve this?

I have a Sony TV and connected my new Beam to a HDMI ARC input. The Beam is connected to my network and to the app on my iPhone. I get no sound from the Beam even if I go to Settings on the TV and change output from TV speakers to Audio System. 

Hi,Looking for help!I use a Sonos Beam with my Samsung TV 55” QLED 4k Smart TV Q80B connected with the Sonos supplied HDMI eARC.The audio works great for between two days and two weeks, then I will randomly turn on the TV and the audio is being played through the TV speakers. The Beam shows up as a video thumbnail through HDMI 3 playing a short demo video. I can’t get it to recognize as an eARC.I unplug the Beam and the TV from power and the HDMI eARC. Plug it back in and viola. It is all good. However, I don’t want to do this weekly. Looking for help troubleshooting. Thanks!

My Beam Gen 2 causes the tv to blackout for a couple of seconds periodically (every 10-30 seconds). I have a TV box plugged into the HDMI port of the tv, and the Beam is connect via HDMI Arc to the tv. I have checked to ensure the tv has the latest updates. All HDMI cables are high speed cables. I’ve also tried unplugging the tv for several minutes, and the beam. When the Beam is disconnected the TV works perfect with no blackouts. The same issue happens if I switch the HDMI connections. I ran a diagnostics test and reference number is 1450731502. 

Greetings, I’m wondering if I can mix up the speakers used in a home theatre setup. Specifically, I just bought a Beam and already have a One speaker in the basement that I don’t use much. Wondering if I can buy another smaller speaker, such as a Move or Era 100, and use that with the Beam and the One to create a surround effect (or just better sound) for both TV and regular music. I’d really like to use the Move, so I can bring it outside with me when listening to music while grilling. Any thoughts are welcome, pro or con. Thanks.   

I got  Ray for Christmas . I connected it via the optical cable to my Sony Tv. The only problem is that the ray and the speakers on the tv seem to play together. I get round this by using the mute button on the tv control. My partner wants to be able to control the ray using the tv remote ( IR ) and not have to use the Sonos app.i have been in the tv sound menu but have not been able to sort it . Any advice /comments appreciated

Hi all, Adding my hat to the ring for this already existing topic...I’m this close to going back to a Bluetooth solution for my audio needs because this issue is super lame … I used to think my older MacBookPro running MacOS Mojave had something to do with my problems, but I’ve just upgraded to a brand new 2023 MBP running the latest MacOS Sonoma 14.2 and the same problem persists… _ I stream my video to a projector and send audio through AirPlay to an early 2023 Beam, two SL One’s for surround, & a Sub Mini - WHEN it works, it works great._ I use Safari 17.2 for my video stream_ I briefly tried Firefox but did not see an improvement so went back to my go-to Safari._ I’ve tested with Amazon Prime, ATV+, Hulu, and Netflix and the problem is there. The issue is not with the content providers._ If you pause the video stream for ANY duration then upon resuming video, the audio will have dropped out… every single time. The ONLY way I have found to re-establish the audio connection is to

So I have a Playbase and happy with it and still works, but wondering what could works best with it when thinking of todays updates. Would it be able to take advantage of anything the 300’s offer? Wondering if it is worth reconfiguring it…. I can connect:Sub-MiniOne’sEra100sEra300s 

Hi team, I just got a Sonos Arc and two Era 100s to use as surrounds, but as I’ve been using it I've noticed that the only sound I’m getting is Stereo PCM. While this does still sound 100x better than what I used to have, I would like to get as much quality sound as I can out of this system. Here’s my set up as of now: Sonos Arc → HDMI 3 ARC Port (no eARC port, old plasma tv)Apple TV 4K → HDMI 2Era 100s as rear surrounds (back left and right)I have it true tuned and everything as well. Is there any way to get a higher sound quality than base Stereo PCM with only my ARC Port and no eARC? Also, as a side question, Should I keep the Eras behind or should I move closer to the sides or the front as front left and right channels? Thanks in advance for any and all advice!!

Sometimes the audio stops working on Beam Gen 2 when streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime. The audio will still work on Direct TV when this occurs. The Beam is connected to a Samsung TV with Dolby Atmos capability via HDMI eARC. 

I have the two AMPs and SUB playing house music via Ethernet in the main bedroom. There is a motorized screen with projector in the headboard and four ceiling speakers. No place for a soundbar. What is the easiest way to autoswitch the audio source from Sonos music to HDMI Roku streaming stick? I have gotten the two AMPs to sense and switch the line out stereo from the projector but want 4.1 surround. Do I need an HDMI ARC Audio Extractor? Will each AMP get its own HDMI feed? Can the surround AMP be configured to play only the surround HDMI signal? I wear hearing aids. I have trouble with the sound coming from the 2 smaller speakers as it is the background noise, and the voices are coming out of the sound bar. Is there a way to fix that so the voices come out of the little speakers as well? or reverse it?
