Hi, I have a surround setup with Arc, Sub and a pair of play 1 in my living room. I also have a pair of 3s in my office. I want to swap out the play 1s for the play 3s.one’s go to my office3s go to living roomWhat is the easiest way to do this? Thanks, so much….Mark

hi,one sl surround gave me crowd noise on live sky/tnt football. using era 300 this seems to have gone ?.netflix i get dolby atmos confirmed on s2 app & surround audio.has the era 300 some how restricted surround audio as all i see on app is dolby digital  2.0.hope this maks some sort of sense.thanks

Arc is playing but subwoofer and rear speakers are not. How to fix?

For the past year I’d been able to get Dolby Digital 5.1 on my Sonos Arc SL from my Apple TV 4K via my Samsung UN46B7100 TV, optical audio outport to Sonos Arc.About a month ago I stopped getting 5.1 and can only get Stereo PCM. Tried with multiple different apps that normally gave 5.1 (Netflix, Disney+, Max), but all only yield Stereo PCM.Seeking any advice to get the 5.1 back! I want to hear TIE fighters coming from behind!My Apple TV is set to “Change Audio Format: On, Dolby Digital 5.1” in Settings → Video and Audio Settings.My TV is set to “external speakers”, which enables the optical audio out port to the Sonos Arc. Just purchased a Roku 65” TV, Roku remote will not control my Sonos Playbar for volume. I can however still use my Directv remote to control the Sonos Playbar. Any suggestions how to get the Roku remote to control my Sonos Soundbar? I prefer to only use one remote.

I have a Sonos Arc, Sub, and two One SL’s set up as a surround in my living room. The Arc is connected to my Sony KD-48A9 via the HDMI eARC. I have both the Arc and one of the One SL’s connected via network cables to my router. My router has been replaced with a new one during the four years this ongoing problem has occurred. My living room is only small So wifi strength is not an issue as the WiFi router is in the living room.I experience millisecond sound drop outs every couple of minutes. I am pretty sure it only occurs when watching higher quality streaming services eg Netflix in surround sound. it doesn’t seem to happen when just watching normal broadcast TV.i have been in touch with Sonos on multiple occasions since purchasing in 2020, but nothing they have done or told me to do has fixed it. I have an ARC 2 connecting to a Samsung TV. It has worked fine for a year. I switched my streaming device from a Roku to a Direct TV streaming. Now I can’t get my ARC to connect even after I switched back to the Roku.

I am playing an audio file through Kodi running on my Amazon Fire Stick.  While the file is playing, the Kodi screen on my TV tells me the file is 5.1, PCM, 48kHz, 6912 kbps and 24 bit.  But when I go into my Sonos app on my phone to see what is playing it says Stereo PCM and nothing else.  I believe the file to be a 5.1 multi as that is how it was created, but the Sonos app is concerning me that perhaps the file is being downconverted somehow.Which is giving me the correct information?

I just set up my new Sonos Ray soundbar.  I assumed I could use Bluetooth to stream music from my cellphone but my phone can’t find the soundbar.  Does anyone know if the soundbar has Bluetooth capability?

I have a P265v5 remote but can find to code to connect to the beam. Is there such a specific code?  

I have a strange fault with my Sonos Playbase - basically in the afternoon it sometimes stops responding to any of my remote controls to change the volume. I have a TV remote (LG) 2x Sky Q remotes and a Firestick remote all setup to adjust the playbase volume but for some reason around 13.00 to 16.00 every so often the sound base stops responding to any of them. Leave it for a couple of hours and everything is back to usual. I’ve not changed anything in my setup, location, WiFi etc and the system will always respond to the app. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Happy to take suggestions  but clearly it’s not batteries or defective remotes as it rights itself after a couple of hours🤷

When I first set my Sonos beam up to my LG TV I could adjust the volume of the system using either of my tv remotes (LG remote or Virgin Media remote). The TV would show the bar indicating the volume level. Recently, despite not changing any settings the TV no longer shows the volume indicator. The remotes still control the volume but without showing what level it’s currently at. The TV doesn’t have an e-arc input, only arc but the audio is set up through Simplink on the TV. Whether playing audio from my Virgin STB or Xbox it sounds fine but is frustrating that the level is no longer shown like it has done for months previous.  is this a remote issue or recent update? Any help would be appreciated.  

Hello,My playbar cuts out every few minutes when streaming music and while playing tv audio. It has not mattered what service I am streaming. When I pair my Play1 with it, the Play 1 continues with no issue, but the playbar cuts out. It is not the service nor my network causing the issue. 

Has anyone had problems with their Era 300s having an annoying echo when included as rear surrounds?

I have a Beam, Sun and 2 One SL. In a HT set up. The sound plays in the Beam but the sun and Surrounds don’t play any sound.  I reset both surrounds and the sub using the method provided on Sonos support page. The units reset and I can go through the process to reconnect them and it shows in the app where they are connected to my system but will not play any audio. Then after a few moments the go in a not connected state and I go through the steps listed in the app to reconnect the. (Turn off products, reset router,…etc) but still no luck. 

TV I'm looking, Sony XR-77A80L, at has HDMI IN eARC/ARC on the back.  Does that mean input only?  Will that work?

Can you add sonos 100's to a home theater with and arc, sub and rear 300's? The 100's would be raised in front, where the arc is at the base of the tv. Also, can you add more speakers to a the home theater? And how would you do it? 

So having had trouble for the last 4 days trying to get a new Sonos Arc to work consistently with my TV… blaming the TV, the new Sky box, having tried 4 different cables, it seems the culprit (or at least a big contributor) is a very loose HDMI port on the Arc.  This results in the cable partly coming out of the Arc each time it’s placed back on the wall.I ended up having to put a cable tie holder on the back of the Arc itself to hold the HDMI cable motionless as it’s mounted.  This has things working - at least temporarily - but I’m concerned that 1. it may not hold indefinitely and 2. I shouldn’t have to resort to a cheap cable holder for a soundbar that cost over £1k!Coming to the forum, I immediately found another thread with multiple customers confirming the same.  That dates back to 2020, and it seems nothing has been done to fix this obvious product fault.  That thread is annoyingly locked, so it’s not possible to follow up there.

Hi, Thanks in advance for your help. I’m just trying to understand something. When it comes to the distance setting for my surrounds (a pair of Fives bound to my Arc) is the distance meaning how far behind me as referenced from where I sit, or does it mean how far from the Back pair of Fives? I have two sets of Fives, two right beside the Arc that face me so Back I believe we refer to them, and the pair of Fives as surrounds which are a few feet behind my listening position.I’m not sure that it matters all that much, but I am curious what the reference point for the distance actually is. Previous speaker before the Arc was a Bose Sounddock 10. The highs were brilliant, and needless to say, big on bass.I believe I installed the Arc correctly. The TV is a Hisense A4 65”The apartment room is L shaped, and large. TV is on a table top against a wall. The Arc was originally places directly in from of the TV. The lower edge of the TV is about 4” higher than the table.I’ve tried the EQ settings to boost the highs. It did help somewhat.Now I have the Arc on the floor in front of the table, it sits about 24” from the wall. I think it’s an improvement.Am considering purchasing 2 Era 300 speakers.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi everyone i will just say that when my sonos system works its really awesome with dolby atmos etcand i want to upgrade my surrounds to era 300. but now to my problem today i have a tv samsung yearmodel 2020 full name is QE55Q77TATmy sonos system issonos arcsonos sub Gen 3and 2 surround is Ikea synfonisk surroundmy problem is when i watch movies that every 1 hour and 38 min i got a sounddrop for about 1 second.this is really anoying and i wounder if anyone else have this problem?im in contact with sonos support here in Sweden thru mail, but im trying everything when ill wait for then to answer on mail. i have connected all my speakers to a Lan cable and sonos net are going thru Channel 11 and my router channel 1 om Wi-Fi 2.4ghz i really love the sound from my sonos system its f****** amazing, is just this problem for me thats annoying me.i hope you un

I have recently purchased a Sonos package.- 4 in-ceiling speakers- Amp- Sub Gen 3- Connected my current Playbar. Today I connected everything up and it took me a while to set this up on the S2 App. Wasn't actually straight forward for me for some reason. Not sure if anyone else struggled too.But, I was hoping to get Atmos sound from my set up, but I'm not.Can someone advice me what I may be doing wrong please? Find attached photos of the set up on my S2 app. 

Hello, I have a problem with my new sonos Beam gen2. We have a TV Samsung UE46ES6540. This TV has just 1 exit HDMI Arc.I have bought an HD Fury Arcana and I don’t understand. I don't have Atmos sound when I watch TNT TV. I have just PCM stereo or Dolby digital. Can you help me if I must do an particular operation.Tanks for your help

Hi all,I own a Beam Gen 1 soundbar. I am planning to setup home theatre around it. I am confused about which speakers to use and whether they are compatible with gen 1 beam. I will setup in my living room of 24*20 feet. Should I go with Sub mini+ 2 Era 100 or Sub + 2 Era 300 or Sub +2 Era 100? Are all of them compatible with Beam gen 1?Thanks 

I recently set up a Sonos system comprising a Beam, One SL, and Sub Mini, all connected via WiFi. However, I’ve encountered a persistent issue since installing the IKEA Dirigera smart hub at home. Whenever the Dirigera is active, the Sonos One SL and Sub Mini disconnect from the network, and I’m unable to reconnect them until I power off the Dirigera. I’ve verified this multiple times, and each instance of disconnection is resolved by turning off the smart hub. Seeking assistance to address this connectivity problem and understand if there’s a compatible solution between the Sonos system and the IKEA Dirigera. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
